2 corrections, 1 lb = .45 kg (if you are converting kg to lbs THEN you would multiply by 2.2, that is not needed here). The corrected formula for BMI is body weight in kg divided by height in meters SQUARED. The squared is important here. To calculate from lbs and inches, first convert lbs to kg by multiplying by .45, then convert inches to meters by multiplying by 0.254. To get meters squared, multiply meters it times itself (1.8 meters squared equals 1.8 meters x 1.8 meters, or 3.24 meters). Another way you can do, it if you want to skip the step of squaring the meters, is to divide weight in kg by height in meters, then take the answer and divide by height in meters a second time.
You should really correct this video or take it down
Misinformation!
Hi ! Correction sir 1 kg= 2.2 lbs. Thanks
yes heee
Thank you for this, my brain was hurting trying to figure out what he did wrong haha
Very educated 😂
Hi,
Just 2 quick corrections:
1 kg = 2.2 IB
Divide by the square of height in (m).
The height in Meters is supposed to b meters squared so for example 69 inches x 2.54 is 175 CM then 175 CM in meters is 1.75 as you want the height in meters and a meter is 100 CM so you just move the decimal place over two places. Then 1.75x 1.75 comes to 3.06 and that is how you come up with the number for the height. Please watch other videos on this and correct yours. Its another chance for you to do better at what you do
Mr. gym instructor did a big oopsie, 1kg = 2.2 lbs
I can't believe you can make a video on such a simple thing and get everything wrong! 1kg is 2.2 lbs not the other way round and BMI = Mass(kg)/height^2(m). Seriously they teach this in high school biology.
Wow, that's why I'm getting 40BMI. Tf I'm not that fat
@@lumpia6683 Yes, ya you are
@@1x1HealthyEnergybyAndrew 🤣
I heard that BVI(body volume index) is more important than BMI, because of our bone mass and water as well. So we cant depend on BMI to say that the person is obese or not....
What do you think?
I’m 163 lbs, and 5 foot 6 inches, divide those , and get a BMI of 45, I do have a great amount of muscle tho, I either did my math wrong or am just really REALLY fat.(and yes I turned them into to meters and kilograms)please help
My man, this is how you do it:
1kg = 2.21lb
1÷2.21kg = 1lb
≈ 0.452kg = 1lb
∴ 0.452kg*2.21 = 1lb*2.21
≈ 1kg = 2.21lb
1lb = 0.454kg
BMI = WEIGHT ÷ [(HEIGHT)Squared]
So simple, yet so effective. That's how would I describe diet plan from NextLevelDiet. Now I belive that simplicity is the key to brilliance.
Thanks
woooooah son. Its weight divided by meters SQUARED. Not just meters
A lot of mistake lol
Jason you made a mistake in spelling xd

wow thank god all this information is correct... not like this channel has over half a million subs or anything
i wonder what would be my diet plan ?? i am 25 and im 168cm height with 85kg
The height (meter)x(meter) equals the the final meter, then Body weight (lbs) ÷ final meter = BMI
Wrong. The correct calculation should be weight in kg divided by height squared
Variam formas e tamanhos.

5'9 but he looks 5'4 to me... IDK because he is so good in math, It might be possible.
Just GOOGLE for your BMI, no math needed. Sadly my BMI is 32, so I am obese, but I already knew I was obese from height and weight charts.
Thanks so much.
NextLevelDiet is outstanding for diet plan and training plan. They make impressive body makeover.
I think that formula is wrong. 1lb is less than 500 grams. Also, the height should be multiplied times 2.
Thank you so much. God bless these types of videos. Good job.
OMG OMG OMG 2.2 KG EQUAL 1 POUND... THAT MEANS I CAN LOSE 10 KG IN A MONTH ... I WISH THIS IS TRUE ... I LOVE YOUR SCIENCE AND MATH
Isn't there a better more accurate way? I need to work out a female's body average of height, weight and age
I knew which foods I need to eat to lose weight, but I didn't know how much. Diet plan I got from Agoge Diet contains portion sizes for every meal. Fantastic!
that's NOT the conversion!
Why don't you correct or take this down. You've left the ERROR up for 8 years. more like 1 KG = 2.2 lbs NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND AS STATED.
He did show us .....
I got my diet plan from *Agoge Diet* and lost 2kg in just 10 days. So far, so good. Can't wait to see numbers on scale after 20 more days. I am so excited about this.
