Garvey should be in the HOF. He was a winner and clutch every time. Played in a big market, under pressure and performed well in the postseason. That means a lot more than other franchises.
@@vdoggydogg3922 Have you looked at who is the HOF? There's a lot of "very goods," who never won crap. Look at Wagner who got in today. Never played on a winner. Postseason record is absolute garbage. Lots of worthless saves. A compiler, maybe. Garvey was one of the best 1B of his era. he anchored those Dodger teams. They won a lot. But the writers would apply them inconsistently. Bonds and Clemens are not in, that is an injustice.
This is why Dan is the absolute best in the biz. I kept seeing these CC comments and was wondering why everyone was mentioning him. Not only did Dan go from promoting Chris's new show and talking all the football news over the weekend and get to CC but they turned it into a quick little HOF debate between two people that know their baseball. Great segment.
Great great great chat!! These are old friends .... wish he'd do a weekly with Olbermann...I watched them religiously in the 90s. Can't miss TV. why can yall get them once a month.
what CC did for milwaukee in 2008 leading them to their first playoff appearance in years was so good. that braun homerun in last game of the season just cant beat that.
At this point, all I see is the word Mad Dog and I go out of my way to AVOID him. He is just about the most biased sports analyst on the planet and I guarantee you there are other whol feel this way.... as I am typing this, I paused the video, just posted this and closed the video clip without hearing a single word.
@gabrielmaldonado2195 true it's a click but it is not the Chris Russo You Tube acct...gave the click to the other person from what I hear is a good journalist
Since Mahomes entered the NFL no team has more penalties called against them than the chiefs but clearly the league is favoring the team that gets the most penalties called against them
I believe he's referring to the timing of the penalties. The fact that they always appear (to everybody in the entire world who is not a Chief's or Taylor Swift fan) to get those penalties at crucial moments of the game, namely, the end of the games. I don't think he's talking about the total number of penalties.
It was a divisional game, Caitlin Clark going to the game & wearing a jersey doesn't mean any of the things Russo said. She's a fan attending a game!! Quit trying to read more into it than that
People critical of the penalties against the Texans essentially argue that even if the penalties are correct under the rules as they are currently written, they should not have been called. How do you go about telling a referee not to make certain calls that are within the rules when he or she is graded and assigned on the basis of making correct calls? Both calls involved blows to the head, which are penalties. The rules clearly say doubtful calls are to be made in favor of the QB. Quit arguing that a referee is supposed to make some judgment about whether a penalty should have been called when a penalty in fact occurred under the rules as currently written. And asking for a review would make no difference because the review official is not going to reverse a call that is within the rules. Finally, quit complaining on the basis of slow motion replays. They distort (diminish) the amount of force that occurred and the referee is not calling the game on the basis of slow motion.
Both Troy Aikman and the ESPN rules analyst who’s a former ref both said on the telecast that those were bad calls and to make it worse a few hours later we saw Jared Goff take a hit to the head and there was no call and both Tom Brady and the rules analyst both said that should of been called roughing against Washington and therefore the pick 6 shouldn’t have counted. I think the problem people have is why does Patrick Mahomes gets those calls but other QBs like Jared Goff and Lamar Jackson don’t get those calls
I'm not sick of the Chiefs, I'm sick of people crying about the Chiefs. When did excellence in football become a hated thing. People need to understand, the Chiefs doing this well raises all the teams to a higher standard.
Have always had a bet (since I was a kid tbh - Dad loved the horses as do I) Am very happy to have money on a game and still enjoy it even if to doesn't come in. Target for me is a 5.5-6/ hit rate out of 10 - spread/exchange bets with short positions and phased/full/over hedging. The Mahomes calls were ridiculous.
Whenever Mad Dog is on DP’s show he looks like he just got out of bed. Show some respect (for appearance on his pod & the viewers ) and comb your effing hair. Never did like the guy ..a clown and poor interviewer, imo.
No way Mahomes is better than a prime Rogers or Peyton Manning. Super Bowls or not, Terry Bradshaw has 4 but very few said he was better than Staubach or even Tarkenton
@@mahomie3017 Nice try, but between Rogers, Staubach, Bradshaw and Tarkenton you are talking 9 Super Bowls. you should probably do your research before you attempt to be funny.
Why the hell are you upset that someone is a fan of a team? Some of these people talk like they know these people personally, but they don’t know anything.😂
She was on Travis and Jason Kelce's podcast where they showed a photo of her with a Chief's jersey (she was 12). The pod went so well that Travis/Taylor must have gone out with her so, in my eyes, it was kind of organic.
I love Mad Dog, but it looks like he’s appearing via zoom from a mental health facility with the crazy hair and white jump suit! 😂
Klan hood. He's between meetings

Its the not hall of very good. There needs to be standards.

Agreed! I could listen to them all day talk sports!

Love the Mad Dog interviews! always a good convo. wish he was a once a month or even week guy
Russo is my favorite guest on the DP show
Russo is awesome. Classic NYC no fluff radio guy!
I really wanna see mad dog drunk one day talking about the NBA. Has to be one of the funniest things out there😂
Great interview as always Dan!
Two legends discussing legendary and meaningful storylines....
Hey Chris thanks for dressing up for the interview!! Lmao 🤣😂
Borg and McEnroe actually only met in 4 GS Finals. Borg won the classic Wimbledon showdown. McEnroe won the next 3. 7 to 7 head to head.
6:26 thank you Chris for pointing out the Raiders game, The Raiders should have beaten the chiefs at kanas city.
Never realized Russo is the guy at the bar who thinks I need to prove I'm a 'real' fan.
I love the fact that mad dog brought up raider Chiefs game because the raiders got screwed
12:27 Dan laughing at the Hank Stram comment was a great moment. Dan had to hide his face.
This interview is hilarious 😂😂😂! Does Clark know anything about Super Bowl 1😂😂
Russo could come on with Danny everyday and I wouldn’t tire.
I agree..blame the networks...like last night...how many times are they going to show Will Howard's family?
Been a Mad Dog fan since 2005
Dan’s intro music is always top notch
I see Mad Dog forgot to comb his hair again before coming on. 😂
Justifying gambling: sounds like he has a problem

The bad calls were one thing, but not covering #87 when it's third and eight several times was really bad.
Whining about the calls when they're letting Kelce run up & down the field uncovered is absurd
Since Mahomes entered the NFL no team has more penalties called against them than the chiefs but clearly the league is favoring the team that gets the most penalties called against them
And as soon as the playoffs start there magically the most disciplined team crazy how that works

If they're the most penalized then how come that disappears during the playoffs yearly??

The Chiefs should ne excellent without the help from refs. Why Chief fans act like this isn't happening is funny.

If Jim kaat is in tommy John has to be in. All of TJ’s stats are comparable and better except gold gloves.

Guarantee you there will be a pivotal play in the game Sunday and the refs will intervene and it’ll be in the chiefs favor. Guarantee it!
nope. it'll be inconsequential and you'll still try to find a way to fit it in your narrative.
It's kinda embarrassing to choke in the playoffs every year and then get the MVP regular season award 😂 Why would you even want it?
Everyone wants to win MVP but would trade it for a Super Bowl, or AFC championship, or a first round playoff win.

Betting on sports is a no-win for the average citizen. Dont do it
You are absolutely correct! It causes so many problems.
@16:40 so true about ERA. it is an overrated state. the best and most durable pitchers stayed in the game and worked through trouble.
It also depends on defense which is mostly out of the pitchers control. I prefer FIP (field independent pitching) and K/BB % to assess a pitcher.
The guy who can't pronounce a name properly expects Caitlin Clark to know about Deron Cherry and Bill Maas before he'll sign off on her Chief fandom.
