Hey Dan I have a set of fenders you're welcome to. Iwould consider it fair trade for the hours or entertainment you've provided over the years! Happy New Year to DDSS
vice grip first then puddin then dd then maybe mortske , he chats shit about dans work but at least he is teaching people not just buying shit that he cant get running, im glad dan is where he is now with a new lift felt sorry for him struggling with that little thing he had, the best video of mortske was when he was pissed doing the wagon with tree, and hes like a loud kid with his sexual references, keep it up dan and danni love what you do all the way from the UK
Danielle you are a flower from heaven. Your exuberamce for life makes my heart sing..I just lost my wife of 55 years and she was just like you.. Never loose your exurberance for life
Sincerest condolences from a fellow viewer in Australia. I too have a wife (63 years) with a personality like that of the delightful Danielle, and I know not how I would cope without her. You have my heartfelt sympathy.
Dan, the reason you have to hold the button to get the door to close is because the photo eyes (safety sensor) are not alligned with each other. One side has an orange light and the other side has a green light. The side with the green green light is probably off. If it is then it has to be adjusted by loosening the wing nut and moving the sensor around until the green light is lit solidly. Then retighten. Even if it’s fluttering green you’ll have to hold the button to close. If you can’t get the green one to illuminate by adjusting then check for broken wires or damage from staples. The official DD Speed Shop garage door tech🙂.
Welding with the battery in place throwing sparks everywhere not the smartest thing I have seen you do. It's 2025 "let's be careful out there" Happy New Year to both of you stay safe.
Danni when you where in the cab steering the truck towards the garage (around 39:56 into the video) I just love how natural you where instead of performing in the video's, you can see in those few minutes just why Dan loves you, when performing it can be to much at times, please show more of you you are fantastic during this time thank you for sharing the real you, you compliment Dan perfectly.
Kroil $70. Front fender replacement $ 300 to 400. The 2 of you mic'ed up at the same time and not be able to here the other ones comments, priceless. Lets not let mur see this episode with the welding around the battery. He may make you stand in the corner for unsafe conditions😂.
Hey Dan, Flipping the axle to the top of the leaf springs is way more than a 3 inch drop. Look at it from the center of the axle bellow the leaf springs to the center of the axle above the leaf springs.
Hey Dan, for your garage door not closing, check to make sure all the wires are in good shape and connected on the sensors attached to the sides (rails) and make sure they are pointing at each other and clean. That should fix the issue with it. There might be little lights on them, you can see when they are aligned properly. Hope that helps.
Hey Dan and Dani: great job picking up this truck. Back about 71 I bought a 55 Chev Cameo it was a great truck. the bed was good in it but I think that if I was replacing the floor in one of these truck I would consider using Trex decking it would look like wood but wouldn't wrought out like plywood. Just a thought. Good luck. I really enjoy all your hard work you put into your cars.
Dan, Daniel my brother!! Danni doesn't want that truck lowered. It'll look great either way, but if it's her truck, why lower it? I've been married since 1985. Sometimes you gotta give in to what she wants. In other words, build it the way she wants. She'll be tired of it in 2 weeks, then slam it to the ground! 😂😂😊 Signed, your friend, Cancer guy.
Love this truck! My Dad had one when I was early grade school...helped him (sort of) rebuild the 6 cyl in it. Good memories. Please build it to Dani's liking. Ok, Dan may be the "talent", but Dani adds the flavor that makes this show sooo tasty! She is certainly "a pearl of great price"! Blessings to y'all.
I use to get most of my truck parts was Scott’s Truck Parts he is just across the train tracks in Penhold it’s south of Red Deer he sells new and used parts he was pretty reasonable in his prices and he’s a super nice guy to deal with. Dani don’t let Dan keep telling you what to do with your truck tell him to build it how you want it this time and if it doesn’t work then he can do what he wants good luck.
Dan, use the lift. You could raise it, back the truck under. Hook to 4 corners and go straight up. Then roll the truck out. Lower the bed in to rollers and boom done. Reverse for installation.
Hey Dan. You should use that spare truck axle for a straight axle gasser conversion on one of the tri five cars. They are perfect width. Also. I am pretty darn sure the car hubs fit the 1/2 ton truck spindles. You can five lug swap with some 55’ car hubs. We would love to see a straight axle 55’. Jeep CJ leaf springs work well with those axles.
I can tell by you welding by the battery you never see what a battery does when sparks set it off. Your very lucky you got away from a big bang that could have changed your life for ever
Love the truck. Be nice to see it the old yellow, but it is fine showing it's scars. You can't paint everything or you wouldn't have time for the next hard luck case.
Just want to say hi and hope you all had a blessed New Years day and Dan you have a special lady in your life so take care of her and cherish her and always let her know how much you love her. God bless and have a blessed night
That was hilarious listening to yawl 2 backing the truck up. Dani's UH-OH!! HERE HE COMES!🤣 And i am impressed with Dani about the write call, Core support and front clip.👍
Geeeeeezz....luxo shop, 4 post lift, chain hoist, body rotisserie.... Dano has gotten above his raisin', as we say down south here... but I ain't hating, I'd do all that in a minute!!!! You deserve it bud, you've worked for it, can't believe you still work a job on top of this channel. Big fan. Also a big hack myself, and not ashamed. Whatever works...
I just wish I had half your energy... but I'm twice your age, so there's that... I have 4 old cars, projects creeping along. But you and Dani are an inspiration, and I sincerely appreciate that!
Well, I would paint the frame and clean everything up. Then of course I'd paint the whole truck. You could use implement paint and make it look pretty good at an economical cost. Good 20-foot truck would be fine.
That is a nice truck, i do enjoy the 2 wireless mics, hearing the two of you talking about picking up the rear of the truck with the tow truck. May i comment that your hood from the 1950’s is being held up just fine with springs and my trunk from the 2000 is on its 3rd set of hood struts!
The first 3 minutes made me laugh WAY more than it shoulda. I could tell that Dan gave 0 F’s when he started welding right next to the battery and just let the sparks flight wherever they pleased 😂😂😂😂
I find it fascinating that Canadian accent and eastern Virginia / northeast North Carolina accent pronounces certain words the same, like "out". Y'all say "ouwt". They also say "houwse" for house. Awesome...
You could improve your communications when backing by putting your phones on the seat next to you, and talking to each other on speaker. I'm sure it would be DD Speed Shop gold. Thanks for all the great videos, all the best to you in 2025.

Oh buddy! Where ya located
Welding on a battery tray with the battery in it , Thats a good way to start the new year off with a bang
Thanks!
You guys have inspired me to start my own channel. Thanks for being just good hearted down to earth people. Thanks a million DDs Speed Shop!
Putting the axle above the leaf spring will be closer to 6" of drop, remember to add in the axle tube diameter.
The ‘56 truck work is off to a great start. What a fun little project this will be. Cheers!! 😎
I'm glad Dani is full time because....Dani! You're adorable!!! Dan and Halfass Kustoms are the best on You Tube.

Oh geeze. Sorry to hear that!
@@DDSpeedShop Thanks Dan. She was from Portage la Prairie.. A prairie flower.
So very sorry for your loss.
Welding next to a battery, could be deadly.

I really love the side profile shape of the truck. A true classic.
The way you two were parroting each other as you were moving the truck was hilarious!
At least you can say that you have an amazing view from your garage! That's beautiful! 😊
It really is a big sky beautiful Northern sky view.
That was beautiful when you rolled up the garage door.
I could look at that all day.
I love that Dani helps so much. No matter what she tries and that's all that matters. Great job Dani!!!

I love you guys, keep up the good work. You say you don't know, but you sure got this old chevy guy thinkin' different.
First shop mechanic I ever saw with a $100 manicure. The dash and interior look pretty good. I like it!
Early 70's Blazer tank is the ticket. We did that for my uncle's 57 3100.
Happy New Year! What better way to kick it off than a tri 5 truck video.

11:01 It's one of those 2in1 torches that can be used as a hammer. Tank Tolman would be proud.

Now that is a picture that tells your story: Dan running a bright big torch up under the truck bed with "Wildfire" on the lift in the foreground.
Great job Dannie. Dan couldn't have done it without you. But, that is what DD is all about. The two of you. 🇨🇦
Dan, if you do an axel flip you drop the axel diameter plus the spring pack so you'll drop like 5 inches...
37:30 It is so wholesome how you two interact with each other. Makes me feel all fizzy and warm.
I see much improvement on Dani's knowledge of mechanics. I remember when she didn't get involved, just sat reading books. (A hobby of mine, BTW)
I like the filter that made the bugs fall off the frame.
Dan, Daniel my brother! ... And Danni too! .. Happy New Year! May 2025 be your best year ever!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Signed - Your friend, Cancer guy! 😊
I'm one of the people who's pushing for Puddin, Slick, and Mort to have you collaborate on something. It would be epic footage for all of you and us.
I have thought the same trio collaborating would wonderful!!!
LMC truck parts in Missouri has the sheet metal parts you need. Fender eyebrow caps to new fenders.
That 55 is just a dream!
Dan, use the lift. You could raise it, back the truck under. Hook to 4 corners and go straight up. Then roll the truck out. Lower the bed in to rollers and boom done. Reverse for installation.
love those grills!!!! the 55 car grills rock as well. keep rocking. peace
Happy new year to you guys DDSS.
I like the audio editing. We get to hear what both of you, independently, said.
Danielle: "They're not $40."
Dan: "Oh, good."
Me: LMFAO
What would Mur say about welding next to a battery?😮😢
Hey Dan&Dannie
Really looking forward to seeing this build. Happy New Year!😊

I’ve had one blow up on me. International 656 loader tractor…..
Yeah I blew one up too. Was charging about 15 feet away and I was welding. Top blew off… pretty scary. Hydrogen is explosive lol.
In 1979 had one blow up on my friend's 429 T bird jump starting my 67 cougar, lost my leather jacket got sent to E.R room, some cuts to face
But it would make exciting content
@@dogsense3773Did you have to have your eyes flushed? I did…. It sucked
Things looking good for the '56 pick up it's a great addition to your tri5 collection.
Funniest video yet! You should do more car moving videos with you both mic’ed up!😂😂😂😂😂😂
While sitting in different cars!😂
Maybe Speedway has a Gasser kit for a '56 Chevy truck. 😊 I am a truck guy, so I'm very excited about the truck build.
Dan, your making a lot of content for "MORTSKE ".😅😅
Love the truck. Be nice to see it the old yellow, but it is fine showing it's scars. You can't paint everything or you wouldn't have time for the next hard luck case.
Happy New Year to you all. I like to see the 56 Chevy truck get restored. Keep up the great work.
You need to harness up Danni and then lift her up to the ceiling with the chain hoist!! 🤣🤣
You two were a hoot backing that truck in. I love it
Happy New Year and be safe and let's have some fun
Just want to say hi and hope you all had a blessed New Years day and Dan you have a special lady in your life so take care of her and cherish her and always let her know how much you love her. God bless and have a blessed night
You have that much of the frame exposed, why not paint?
Looking good, guys ! And the truck too ! Happy New Year!
Coming along nicely Dan and Dani Happy New Year
Get a fuel tank for a Nissan D21 truck. It will fitish inside of the frame rails. You can make mounts for it cause I know you can!
Seems like the perfect home for a rebuild of that no-compression 283.
I wonder if Mur was yelling at the screen when he saw you welding next to that battery? 😅
Nope, just disowned him.
Dan you can get the front hubs off of a 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air car they will fit that truck and that will make it five lug
Double Daring Speed Shop, nice work! That truck is gonna be so cool! Get that thing on the rotisserie next.
Now is the time to put a Speedway IFS in the frontend.
Y'all are so cute together!!! Love this channel!
Love the truck. Glad you are starting on it. Can't wait to see what you do to it. Love it.
If you move the gas tank to under the bed, You will have the leg room you need
I wish I was as patient as Dan.
Looking good!
That's going to be a great looking truck.
Dani, maybe would be more appropriate for Dan? Thanks for the vid! Still loving your giggle.
Welding near battery not wise, I witnessed someone doing that didn’t end well
Come on Dan, you can do this! Clean it, prime it, get a turbo can of paint.
I'm really looking forward to this build!!
Still waiting for that Chevelle 👍🏽
That was hilarious listening to yawl 2 backing the truck up. Dani's UH-OH!! HERE HE COMES!🤣 And i am impressed with Dani about the write call, Core support and front clip.👍

It really was a delightful comedy hour. Bravo!!!

In the United States.
