Thanks yeah, I got spoilered massively. Btw, the engine is tilted not for the 50/50 distribution, but for a perfect distribution of weight from left to right ;) So if it was in horizontally, it would way more on one side then the other, to fix that, they tilt it slightly so that the center of mass goes back to the the center of the car ;)

I got mine last November. It's already been tracked once. Getting Dunlop Star Spec II this week. Already has SS brake lines, PMU Pads front and rear. Engine is stock except for a CTE Intake. It's my DD/weekend warrior. Had around 59700, now has 86xxx

The F20C has higher piston speeds than an F1 car. I'd say that's a brilliant piece of engineering
The explaination on when the VTEC kicks in is the best so far i've come across.

I've never understood the car "racism". Every car manufacturer, except for maybe Kia, has made at least one great car. Great cars are great cars, regardless of what the badge says.

+MuhLogan i have a toyota echo 2000 hatch. It's 15 yrs old full of rust on bottom underneath clean inside and shakes then starts drifting sideways on the freeway at 95km p/h. it's super fun to drive. Best of all costs me 15 bucks a week in petrol vs 98 ford falcon au 4l intech crap.found on rubbish dump car.

The S2000 is just a awesome car on the track, the weight distribution is just perfect, it's light, it has the perfect amount of power, it can kill a lot of sports cars

The S2k isnt just the most powerful 2.0L ever made, it is the most powerful engine per liter ever produced for a production vehicle in the world.
Except the LaFerrari.
Which came out 13 years later.
And the LaFerraria isn't a mass production vehicle. They made 499.
naturally aspirated yes... but the 1995 eclipse made more than 200. so did the evo's and subaru's, as well as the dodge neon srt4, cobalt ss, VW GTI, Hyundai veloster turbo, the rotary engines (which made nasty power per litre)
Which if you had a brain were turbo charged which is not normally aspirated therefore your comment is pointless.

Funny how people hate on vtec and anything honda, you guys complain about it not being fast and since its not turbocharged and not fast that its a boring car, an exciting car to me is something that puts a smile on my face when i sit in my car and take it for a cruise. Who cares how fast ya are as long as ya like ya car enjoy it.

I've owned a Miata after I bought my current car and I recently sold my Miata. This car is a much better choice and platform to track on.

How did i only just get the notification for this? anyway, I think my favourite would be an old TVR or Triumph for the classic 6 cylinder noise. for performance, id probably go for a new tvr. i know how good the s2k is, i know there are far better handling roadsters than a tvr tuscan but i love the sound, love the looks and love the interior. ìf i had to pick a competitor for the s2k, id just go with marty on the mx5. i personally prefer the looks of them, all but one of the generations, i also think they feel more balanced, at least the more track focused ones. standard they really are hairdressers cars. they are too loose and feel disconnected unless you go for one of the sportier ones.

The S2k is quite awesome, but yes... VERY pricey.
$20000 is a bargain. And it is proven to be better than BMW z4, Porsche Boxter, 350Z and costs significantly less than those german cars, about the same as the 350z.
TheAwesonymous S2000 is a great car but I hope you're not getting your information on it being better than the z4 and boxter from top gear.
in the uk you can pick one up secondhand for £3000 ish

Yes!! Great choice Moog, I drive one in the same color. My reaction to the V-TEC in mine was JUST like yours when I first drove it. I test drove it and immediately told the guy "This car is going home with me."

Mighty Car Mods ive been burning through all your videos and loving them. never in a million years thought i would even consider an mx5 or s2k but here i am debating on what my next car will be. currently own an 06 mini cooper S but thats likely to change very soon.

I got into your guys show because I was getting my first car, was doing research on cheap whips and fell upon your fake civic build and I fell in love with Hondas from those episodes, I know it was a joke but I love em and I think they are cool and fast and fun to play with, I have a 91 crx built. I'm happy you guys finally got a real not joke Honda on the show! Can't wait to see more videos
The S2000 can make 350 maybe 400 HP safely with only adding a head gasket , Aftermarket clutch, Tuning and working on internals. so Moog doesn't have to turbo at all but if he turbo's it will be cheaper than working on internals, So overall if he turbo's it will be Fast, Reliable and Cheap.
I have a Honda cbr500r .... Yes a motorbike and I gotta say I can understand moogs happiness

One of the best cars and engines Honda has made, the fact that its resale value has depreciated very little over the years is a testament to that.
You get a convertible, Honda reliability, great resale value, a perfect engine to build on, great styling, and a relatively practical 2 seater.
Hopefully he learns that the one thing the S2K could use more of is bottom end torque and decides to supercharge it.
Every honda in the world needs bottom end torque.
Or you get a Spec R SR20DET S15 and get mad boost all day long. Problem is the vtec owners don't know what the front of a Nissan looks like..
That's because we removed the rear view mirror to save weight ZZIINNGG.

Hey MCM, I'm a huge fan of yours! Watched nearly all of your episodes and this one has to be one of my favourites because Moogs reaction to driving a Honda with VTEC is/was EXACTLY like mine. I currently still own a 400rwhp R33 Skyline (drift car) and a 300rwhp VY SS Commodore... just last week I went and bought a 4th Gen Prelude with the H22A VTEC and 4 wheel steer. Prior to this i have owned about 10 other cars as well (im only 19). My first reaction to VTEC i was laughing just as hard as Moog and had the biggest grin on my face, you've nailed the explanation of it, unicorn fart! My mates are just like Marty's, saying "you have a 400hp skyline and you're telling me that this car is more fun?" the puzzled look on their face is priceless. Kudo's to you Moog, hope this Honda lasts a while and long live VTEC performance! If ya's have the time, check out my drift videos on my channel :P
