    He’s got the wrong guitar for a start! I’m disappointed in Frank, as he usually knows his stuff, but he made a huge boo-boo there!
    Costello’s guitar of choice in those days was not a Fender Stratocaster but a Fender Jazzmaster. He was a huge reason that the Jazzmaster and Jaguar-style guitars were so popular during the punk and post punk eras!

      Even Elvis doesn’t have the guts to include “Oliver’s Army” in his live sets any more.

      although the original line is a reference to Irish or Italians it seems as it`s `Whitenigger` still a derogatory term but not promoted as such in this song but just a relevant term to the context of oppression
