why did they change the way CV's work? before when you had limited aircraft and more control over your planes, it made sense over what it is now; where you know you are going to get bombed again no matter how many aircraft you shoot down.
@@trickledowneconomicsfail7127 Probably because of how unbalanced it was, you can see all of us fondly remembering how superior american carriers were. Planes werent unlimited back then, you had to pick and choose your fights and manage the number of aircraft that you had on deck, once you ran out you were done, we didnt even have to spot you to take you out of the game. There were other nasty tactics like setting up overlapping torp runs on BB's so that no matter which way you turned you were taking torps. AA back then was hilariously ineffective against aircraft whereas now youll barely get off one attack run before the ship wipes your planes out. Planes never run out now so CV's cant complain about running out and ships cant complain that AA isnt effective. Jets are more fragile so a random machine gun round would fuck up a jet more than an older prop plane, not that the game is much for realism, they probably just gave them super low health because they are in the AA range for maybe 20% of the time due to this dumb speed.

Amazing. WG took a converted battleship, Eagle, that was sunk in 1941 and stuck planes on it that couldn't even fit on the flight deck as the Canberra. What's next? HMS Victory outfitted with Rolls Royce diesels and mounting 14 inch guns?
Pretty dope ship, but probably will never play it, the fast airplanes sound reminds me of nato bombarders that were attacking my city when was kid. Jesus, got slight panic attack after i heard it when squadron started haha, totally unexpected. 😅
Honestly the jets are super balanced because AA actually works on them and losing one or two jets significantly impacts the potency of your strike. This will likely be patched out kek.
With the Eagles jet rockets, the best way to use them is length wise of the ship, from bow to stern or vice versa. The pattern of drop is pushing away from the initial spot.
I'd say it's even more efficient to target a 45°-ish angled target from the back with those strike pattern, compared to a normal strike. And thinking that I loved this games for so long... Uninstalled years ago, did not go back since. Kind of miss the nostalgia of it, but this videos are the perfect reminder of what it has become, and why I don't bother coming back. Thank you Flambass :)
I literally just uninstalled this game yesterday after dealing with this Cv and a balao at the same time for almost the entire game in a al. Nevsky. It was literally like I couldn’t do damage to either one of them. Spec’d for aa and it did nothing. Ping after ping after ping from the sub. Game is ruined.
I miss the good old days before the aircraft carrier rework, when you had to shoot down over 90 planes to get the AA Expert achievement. A few times I've done that in my Saipan with the 3 squadrons of fighters. that was fun...
11 minute Kraken, and 181k dmg. with screwing up a few runs. And: this ship has the British bombers, which *aren't really all that good*, AND: he went repeatedly after BB's with the rockets. Not their ideal target.
This game has gotten so out of control, it really makes me sad..Had so much fun back in the day, before they started over updating..overpowering..Planes, Subs, everything makes matches last 2 min...I really wish there was a way to buy the old version of the game..
The only things that amaze me is not his performance, but the enemy AA gun crew that can keep up with these transonic jet and still alive after being attacked ... Oh wait it's different game ~ 👀
Man I remember in 2017/18 when CVs were rts like. I remember playing with my T5&6 cvs and cursing myself every time I got to close to a Texas or a ship with high AA. Anytime I just PASSED a ship with GOOD, not great, GOOD AA, I would loose a plane or 2. On ships with EXCEPTIONAL AA I would loose an entire flight in seconds. I remember making desperate attacks knowing I’ll loose all my planes, just to force an aggressive ship into my teams sights. I remember micromanaging my fighters to try and cover my team and scout the enemies. Trying to dance just enough into AA range to spot and not loose my fighter. Ships that specifically went for AA skills shut me down completely. But they also got decimated by other ships. When I would fly past the entire enemy team, there wouldn’t be much of a fly by, it was me loosing a flight in 2 seconds. And it was FUN.
yeah why did they ever change it? I stopped playing the game for a few years and came back to it late last year and i jumped on my cv and it was a joke. The potential for a good strike was so much higher but so was the risks. Makes sense that a battleship on it's own would be a good target. Whereas now, it doesnt matter since you just regen your aircraft. I legit think the cv overhaul in world of warcraft was one of the biggest failures in game design in the history of video games.
The Canberra wasn't fitted with machine guns, as far as I remember, so the ones you use fro rocket attack don't give the warning shots. Edit: Oh.... Meteors.... well they are hard to tell at a glance.
Canberra’s were never designed to fly from aircraft carriers either, but since when have the facts ever deterred WG from implementing anything in this game.
As someone who never played this game. My opinion. Dont nerf the aircraft. Instead u only get ur initial load out. This class would be the make or break. Lots of op units but they have finite supply.
After years of enjoyment I am done with this game. Classic case of has potential and the company blew it through utter lack of vision and follow through on a great idea. Joy police have had their way with yet another payer/player.
Ah, CVs.... I miss the old days of CVs before the rework... Looking across to the other team and seeing Little White Mouse in her CV knowing I was about to die a glorious and fiery death lol
i missed the time where bothside cv fighter squadron would both try to run manual strike path against each other, and see who make a mistake and lost all their fighters, while trying to save friendlies ship and bomb/torp enemy ships, i dont like the current cv at all :(
worse is when you take the fighter jet thinking it might help you against CV and once you launch it you just watch it flying in a 2km radius around you while torp bombers are approaching and no shots fired.. by the time your fighter engage you already ate the torp and the bombers are flying back home.. yeah, at this point WG should keep the jet fighter as a cosmetic item that just fly around your ship for shit and giggles, no need to pretend they're helping you against CV anymore
I mean people were complaining to no end on how bad the Super CVs were before the buff. I thought they were fine. Eagle was challenging but rewarding. But people insisted that they suck hard. WG listened...
A couple years ago they reworked how planes control or SOMETHING> I never did get used to the change and quit playing my carrier even though I had the most fun wit hit. I also didn't like having to carry a team as a carrier. They nreally depend on you and can be asses when you f it up. Its like the old MMOs where a team would blame the healer or tank for a wipe.
@Flambass I just saw a video about WG pulling out of Russia and Belarus on NoZoupForYou's channel. I would love to hear your view on this considering you aren't a CC with them anymore
AND... Wargaming nerfs SuperCV Base Experience, and further nerfs the credit "earning" ability of all Superships. Step 1: sell OP ship. Step 2: nerf OP ship. Step 3: sell new OP ship. Well played, WG, well played.
This reminds me of how much Japan fucked up in the pacific. They were like "yeah we got big guns and big ships" *inserts Yamato pics* and then US were like "Hehe... carriers" and the rest is history.
As cool as the jets look, they aren't anywhere near balanced by our definitions. At this point, nothing less than guided AA missiles are what's needed to stop those things. I heard that WG tested guided anti-ship missiles at one point, a while back.
The player's base: We need better AAs or nerf CVs
WG: How about a Uno reverse ◀️

thats definitely what those rockets are for strafing a target area
Pretty dope ship, but probably will never play it, the fast airplanes sound reminds me of nato bombarders that were attacking my city when was kid. Jesus, got slight panic attack after i heard it when squadron started haha, totally unexpected. 😅
Honestly the jets are super balanced because AA actually works on them and losing one or two jets significantly impacts the potency of your strike. This will likely be patched out kek.
remember when cv's didnt have nano machines pumping out plane replacements?
So you uninstalled the game but decided to still watch CC videos on it.
Yeah, it’s enjoyable. I like the feedback as well. Nothing wrong with that.
i was getting ready to start but after watching this i think i will skip it
No one cares
I miss the good old days before the aircraft carrier rework, when you had to shoot down over 90 planes to get the AA Expert achievement. A few times I've done that in my Saipan with the 3 squadrons of fighters. that was fun...
11 minute Kraken, and 181k dmg.
with screwing up a few runs.
And: this ship has the British bombers, which *aren't really all that good*, AND: he went repeatedly after BB's with the rockets. Not their ideal target.
Came to see Flambass' joy. Was not disappointed.
This game has gotten so out of control, it really makes me sad..Had so much fun back in the day, before they started over updating..overpowering..Planes, Subs, everything makes matches last 2 min...I really wish there was a way to buy the old version of the game..
Jet Aircraft that can cover half the map in seconds....... Exactly what we needed to balance CVs.
Aw, I was looking forward to the "QWAKEN" music!!!
Would love to see Achilles Hutson in CV in this version of WOW she's a CV legend in Blitz
The only things that amaze me is not his performance, but the enemy AA gun crew that can keep up with these transonic jet and still alive after being attacked ...
Oh wait it's different game ~ 👀
This video LOL at beginning I was thinking damn aircraft suck... then rest of the video happened lol
Dude that very last bit was lit
they really try hard to make the game more unfair...
1:37 this is what always happen to me...
4:45 bascially the BB use R too early, also Flambass so lucky get it flood per 1 torp only
I keep let out "What the actual fuck?" every time you make a strike with those jet planes.
Best comercial WG can dream of.
10:55 best part :D
I see no problems here.
I aint no expert on torpedo bombing, but dropping them into water at 350 knots seems like a rather poor idea...
It seems those Rocket Planes might be used for Strafing Bow -> Stern or reverse, judging on their pattern.
Lol the torp spread on the donskoi🤣🤣😂😂
Just wait, I think nukes are just about ready forgeneral release. LOL
Totally balans
The Canberra wasn't fitted with machine guns, as far as I remember, so the ones you use fro rocket attack don't give the warning shots.
Edit: Oh.... Meteors.... well they are hard to tell at a glance.
Correct, no guns
Canberra’s were never designed to fly from aircraft carriers either, but since when have the facts ever deterred WG from implementing anything in this game.
As someone who never played this game. My opinion. Dont nerf the aircraft. Instead u only get ur initial load out. This class would be the make or break. Lots of op units but they have finite supply.
Sometimes I wonder why I haven't played this game in 6 months. Then I see a video like this lol
After years of enjoyment I am done with this game. Classic case of has potential and the company blew it through utter lack of vision and follow through on a great idea. Joy police have had their way with yet another payer/player.
Damn those rockets are hilarious, burst fire mode enabled.
Ah, CVs.... I miss the old days of CVs before the rework... Looking across to the other team and seeing Little White Mouse in her CV knowing I was about to die a glorious and fiery death lol
You know some people will never learn that smoke screens are torpedo magnets.
i missed the time where bothside cv fighter squadron would both try to run manual strike path against each other, and see who make a mistake and lost all their fighters, while trying to save friendlies ship and bomb/torp enemy ships, i dont like the current cv at all :(
People saying: "CV IS BRIKIN" "NIRF CV"
CV's: *say hello in 48% WR to the dd's with 52-58% winrate*
Spreadsheet says Flambass is having much fun!
I didnt knew the early jets had afterburners
Now we need to put in the potato modifier to those numbers, times it by .25 and you get the real numbers.
Funny, last time I checked the production version of the Wyvern was a turboprop, not a piston engine…
This Game needs more Paywallhidden Content!
If only they brought back how the carriers used to be
ty for the video :) How may I unlock Eagle ? I could'nt see it neither in tech tree nor premium shop.
Ruthless flambino strikes again lol epic balance
worse is when you take the fighter jet thinking it might help you against CV and once you launch it you just watch it flying in a 2km radius around you while torp bombers are approaching and no shots fired.. by the time your fighter engage you already ate the torp and the bombers are flying back home.. yeah, at this point WG should keep the jet fighter as a cosmetic item that just fly around your ship for shit and giggles, no need to pretend they're helping you against CV anymore
Carrier main confirmation
That donskoi should have just dodged
I mean people were complaining to no end on how bad the Super CVs were before the buff. I thought they were fine. Eagle was challenging but rewarding. But people insisted that they suck hard. WG listened...
Players: Cv's need nerfs
WG: We gave them cooldowns
Players: nice
WG: on their jets
Players: ...
Holy sheet.. That's some nice damage !! 🤣🤣🤣
Hmm maybe this ship is a little bit op xD
I know why i quiit playing this game 5 years ago :P
But still a grate fun to see you!
Stay strong :P
@Flambass I just saw a video about WG pulling out of Russia and Belarus on NoZoupForYou's channel. I would love to hear your view on this considering you aren't a CC with them anymore
AND... Wargaming nerfs SuperCV Base Experience, and further nerfs the credit "earning" ability of all Superships. Step 1: sell OP ship. Step 2: nerf OP ship. Step 3: sell new OP ship. Well played, WG, well played.
hello, which one is stronger in all aspects? -- i) Super ship Eagle? or, ii. X Malta?
please help & let me know
Get both I got both.
Thanks for you hard work keeping me not playing the game.
what captain build are you using?
what a great vid, love watching you play warships.
It's carriers not warships, they changed the name.
you are the best player! and very looky soths in smoke!! in this played congrat..
At least one player had a lot of fun....
it seems like your planes never got shot down so you could take your time and release all of the torps
Q: 11 rocket hits on a Friesland, how much dmg caused?
A: about 5.5K
Ahskance approves
F that Douche canoe.
This reminds me of how much Japan fucked up in the pacific. They were like "yeah we got big guns and big ships" *inserts Yamato pics* and then US were like "Hehe... carriers" and the rest is history.
Cool game! Looks Fun!
So those rocket planes are basically specialised in stripping away aa mounts and hitting smoked up dds? F*****g hell
@Flambass it was 6k on dd in smoke with rockets, stil not bad as for blind fire xD, seems balanced
Some days I think to myself, "You know what, I'm going to reinstall WoWs." Then I see FlamBass's vids and then reminds me why I deleted it 😂
You're a monster. Jebus.
and this is exactly why i havnt played the game for 3 months.
Me for 2 years i stoped after they removed RTS CV gameplay
WG: there's too much counterplay against carriers, better add more jet aircraft to the game.
As cool as the jets look, they aren't anywhere near balanced by our definitions. At this point, nothing less than guided AA missiles are what's needed to stop those things. I heard that WG tested guided anti-ship missiles at one point, a while back.
"Play or try modern warship please?"
Planes helli are controlable
Also torps and missile camera is enable in game
