I'm a solo and go all the time -- you do have to travel smart which can sometimes be an added cost like walking late at night versus a taxi. Go! If you hate it come home!
@@aairsick --I was referring to costs... particularly with respect to the reposition cruise price. But thank you for the advice. I have traveled alone to Peru, Costa Rica, England, Wales, Scotland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and India.
I‘m solo too, and i have the problem that I always can’t share costs, like taxi or hotel-rooms. Has anybody an idea, how to solve this problem? I couldn’t find a Plattform where i can meet people to share rooms in 4 or 5 star hotels in Asia
We are doing 2 transatlantic cruises this fall, 18 days apart. Our plan is to build up status on each cruise line, so when we aren't up to all of the exhausting traveling, we will be treated well on those, with all of the perks.😊
Wow, I never would have guessed the last one. Really incredible. I had sort of planned to not retire... but now that I've found your channel, the concept of slow travel really appeals to me.
Wow! It is rare to see an informative video (from any channel) with new, interesting, out-of-the-ordinary, fun ideas! You did it… and taught me a new trick on Airbnb’s site. Thanks😊!
This really makes it feel attainable. Thank you for showing step by step in AIRBNB. I would not have guessed the last one, but it seems pretty awesome.
Very interesting ideas. Would be nice if you could expand some on how you did the cruising for multiple months and some more about the castles ie. did you need a car, eating situation? I would never have thought of that one and it is very intriguing to me to maybe combine the castles with cruises and changing every few months. Thanks.
Great use of the filters to find the guest favorites using the cheaper 1/3 of the distribution! Will definitely be using that. Thanks for showing the path. Robert in NYC.
I have stayed in Marloth Park 3 times. It is amazing. I would consider it. It is by the Crocodile Bridge Gate. The luxury tent Maerua Luxury Safari Tents was my favorite.
Super cool ~ I had not ever heard of the last one. 🤩 My husband is from Sicily, and I am a dual citizen (U.S./Italian), and we have talked about using Airbnbs to go all over Sicily & Italy. Thanks for the superhost tip. 💚
I’m ready to travel but don’t know how to go about finding out about vaccines and visa requirements for various countries and those types of logistics?? You guys are awesome, thank you!!
Great video! Thanks for the info! When you say you always want to book these with points (referring to the property in Vietnam) is that because the point to cash ratio is always beneficial in Asia, as compared to other places? I know a lot of times when I look in the US the cash rate works out to be a better deal than booking with points because sometimes the point value ends up being like half a penny.
Ok, now y’all are just bragging 😂. I’m in countdown mode for my slow travel days. Your channel has been EXTREMELY valuable for my planning. Thank you and keep those videos coming.
You mentioned that you always buy IHG points when they are offered. Does this mean you buy regardless of what the offer is? Or, do you wait for certain offers that may be better than others? If you wait for better offers, do you have a certain threshold, like, we only buy when the match is at least 80%? (The current offer we just received). Also, does IHG always charge the same amount to buy the points?
just got an email that IHG has an 80% bonus points sale through June 8, do you recommend buying points at this discount now or do you think they will have a half off sale later in the year?
Agree but unfortunately inflation will make it look like nothing. For me right now, $2,000 USD a month for a single person is doable. But who knows what the future will hold.
This channel is becoming addicting to me in a good way.
So cool. You inspire me, but it is a bit scarier when one is single.

@@Claudia-yd3dd --renting rooms, taking care of other peoples' pets, car owners acting as taxi drivers... there must be an AP for this! Or should be.

It is amazing! So many cool places out there.
Americans living in Africa now. We love Marloth Park!! We go there often! The animals are amazing. Love your videos!
Thanks! That's awesome! What an amazing place!

My brother owns a timeshare in Marloth Park and goes there once a year. I've been there myself 👍

Thanks for sharing your insights
New ways to travel. I love your excitement when you found that great deal on the Condo in Thailand.
Always good to find a place in Thailand!
This is one of my favorite videos!!!
Thanks!
Wow, wow, wow - I love your videos, but this one is my favorite. Thank you very much!
Wow, thank you!
I have (American) friends retiring to Toulouse. Excited to go visit them next year!
That was one of our favorite cities in France!
I appreciate you guys so much! Your videos are so inspiring. I look forward to every video you share. Thank you 🙏❤

I talked to my husband about cruising back to back for a month to see how that cost compares to our monthly housing costs.
Omg I didn’t know about the castles!!
The castle thing looks fun! Raised by the beach my entire life so looking for something different!
Lots of cool options out there!
Such a fun video! I’ve never heard of that last place, so amazing!!!
It really is!

How do you travel from one place to the next? Do you ever travel by car? How do you communicate with all the different languages?
hua hin is a gorgeous place and we went there 15 years ago. Which grand hyatt did you go in Bali? Nusa dia or Sanur? Nice place too!

Such great tips! Ty 👍
Thanks!
When you rent a place like that, that’s kind of far away from the main town how do you get to grocery shop?
Marloth Park is on my radar now for a visit in 2025! Thank you!
Awesome! It's on ours too. Trying to figure out which month will work for us.
How did you find a club lounge at a Hyatt? I had to let 4 expire, there are no clubs anywhere on my radar in the USA.
We are in Asia, they have tons of them.
Hi Rob,
Did you have problems traveling full time with a drone?
No but we got rid of it due to that becoming more likely and harder to use
Guys, really, TY for the eye opening exposure. Lol if I can just get my partner away from the phone, instead, that'll be even more awesome 😁

We always wait for the 100% it usually happens several times a year. They've always been the same base price.
What about paying tips staying at hotels? Hate cruises.
Still supposed to tip housekeeping. It's the same concept for your room but at least you don't have other staff to tip
Can you guys do a video on how to live in Colombia ?
Too dangerous
Wait … I can have pets WITHOUT the expense of having pets?! And giraffes at that?!?! How awesome!
That is the best part!
Okay, you know broke both travel AND retirement goals....right!@
😮😮😅😅
Now hubby and I have to rethink the whole plan!
😅😅😅😅

We would wait to see if they do the 100% unless you are going soon and need them.
Do you need a car in some of these places? Airbnbs close to cities and transport are much more $$$
It would be great if you add timestamps to your videos.
Were you ever disappointed with your airbnb?
A few times, yes, not that often. If you use a superhost, almost never.
