Music from the UA-cam studio library.
Yes- I agree with you- I like the feel of paper and also physically turning the page of a book.
Omg! Me too. I love books. It’s the area of my life where I can’t go minimalist!
I agree! Especially when it's raining & wind blows through the RV.
I imagine all know that the bookstore owner, Paul Winer, never wore a stitch of clothing to work. He was also a talented musician in Quartzsite. He passed away in 2019. Just a little entertaining FYI. Love the videos, Chantel.
Hi Chantelle! Thank you SO much for always keep'in it real girl. You do more for us female nomads (or wanna be's) than any other UA-camr out there. You're the female version of Bob from CheapRV living, and I really mean that as a huge compliment. Just down to earth, sharing the nitty gritty helpful information, without glamorizing everything. And yet your editing and cinematography are so beautiful on top of it. I love seeing a learning from you. Thanks for all the incredibly hard work you do! This video is just awesome. Hugs for you and Joey! Coleen.
Aww, Coleen! Thank you so much. This touched my heart more than you know. I appreciate you so much. ❤❤🥰
I have to say one thing I really miss about full-timing is the peacefulness of the desert. Thanks for the potty info. My kids (in their 40s) think I'm nuts wanting to do some vanlife traveling.
Same. I’m 51 and ready to hit the road😃
My kids 31 & 27 also think the same ... mostly because they think it would be unsafe :(
@@kailichang3681 At least people can join caravans for safety. Well, at least after the pandemic. cheapRVliving has put out info on how to signing up for a caravan. I heard that some are for females only.
I'm 77 and travel in my teardrop trailer, fulltimed in it for 1 1/2 years. I don't worry about what my kids think. I love the lifestyle.
I plan on living van life in about a year and a half. I’m 60 years old and my five kids support it 100%😊
Joey looks like he's in heaven you can tell he loves all these adventures
Ya know, and please don’t take this wrong. I don’t mean it in a bad way at all. But you don’t look like someone who would venture out on their own. I’m a mom and I look at you and think, she would never do what you’re doing! But here you are!!! I think it’s wonderful too!! I would now (I’m fifty seven) but idk if I would have done what you’re doing at your age. Maybe, but idk. Back in my day, we used pay phones. No computers, no cell phones, no GPS, just paper maps. So I think it’s awesome you are able to do what you’re doing. And journaling along the way too! That will be amazing to share with your children, if you choose that route. Bless your heart, you’re more brave than I am. I wish you health, happiness and safety on your travels. I’ll be watching!
❤️💜💚
🐶Gotta love sweet, patient Joey. Never see him barking, and getting hyper when you come and go while doing errands. 💜
You look so happy I cant wait to get my nomad life started.
Me too!!!!
Me too 💙
Do it !
me too!!!
I think alot of people panic about the bathroom situation...but really it's not that difficult...you showed how easy it really is..
I agree, there is nothing to it...
@thedude404 the same place I throw my puppies waste and my children's when they were babies...👍🏻..
@thedude404 it was a good question BTW...
@thedude404 people throw away diapers...but its legal to dig a hole and do your business....but you must cover it..and you don't have to use a bag or worry about tossing it out....
Nothing to panic about, Just use the toilet and proper throw away your waste 😁👌🏾
I definitely agree with you re: having an actual book in your hand. Personally I like historical romance. That's why book stores are so full, so many choices to select from.
Wholeheartedly agree! When you’re traveling a shower is absolutely everything!
Just enough tMI and perfectly represented... Now I know what I needed to know...
Hi Chantel another nice video wow the sky was just beautiful. Joey is just the cutest little guy. Take care! 🐾🐕🐈💕🍀
This is a REALity show that's actually REAL. 👏👏👏
"I'm done with our world being on fire. " me too....from the burn zone.
Love your dog he’s super adorable
Sometimes you just have to take a $9 shower!!
Yay...I needed this today. ♡
❤❤❤
I love Joey just chilling by the fan💕
I can tell it was really awesome to spend that time with nomadic women you even sound different!!!👍🥰
Those skyviews are amazing. The colors! The view! And, you can see for miles!
I totally understand you. I am the same way about books. The feel, the artwork, the ability to fold over a page...it’s almost meditative. 💕
Legendary showers. Oh, the naked bookseller guys place!!! THe book covers are ripped because they are returned to the publisher for money. Did it once for a gig. Who needs covers??? Love you getting itchy feet, feel ya!!!
Also, tmi but have you learned about the rectangular car funnel and hose for easy girl peeing?
I remember him walking or biking in his thong , all over Q.
My car looked like that fore a few weeks, then i baught a 4x6 utility trailor. Now its nice and roomy.
Hey, the toilet question is something Bob Wells asks everyone he interviews. So, good job.
You showed a yummy dinner plate then show Joey. He has a little tear glistening in his eye. Bless the sweet lottle pupper. Love from Iowa.
I miss reading books too. Long ago, before it became commonplace to see someone living in their minivan, I used to put a blowup mattress in the back of my minivan and take a book out there to read. No one would interrupt my reading time out there, and I loved the cozy feeling of reading, then napping, in my van.
I love this girl! Open and honest.
That privacy tent has a mind of it's own....lol! Little Joey looked so content with his little fan. He is too cute.
Can you do a post travelling with joey how you set up for him. I travel in Australia with 2 little dogs also and always looking for tips
Here's a tip DON'T leave your dogs in the car!!
Girl love the sunset video supposed "twinkling light" fellow campers AND Joey with his own personal fan...ADORABLE ❤
Fans...plural. )
Oh! And your sense of humor, and constant smile. You and that damn red bathroom tent always crack me up! Your take on your frustration with that thing is just hilarious. Thank you!
I saw a nother van life lady last week. She had a raised bed and comfortable mattress. Storage bins under the bed like drawers. Every thing was organized. You will be too. A van you can stand-up in will be awesome..
Or a pull behind commercial trailer as your bedroom. You can do it. Keep the maintenance up on oil changes and tire rotation . Good luck.
We are spoiled. I just purchased TWO shower tents...one for pottying and changing clothes, and the other for showering. I just cannot grow accustomed to walking in to use the bathroom and getting my shoes wet in our shower water. It is what it is, eh? Lol
Thank you for all your tips and I love ❤️ your precious pup Joey!
If you buy a can of black spray paint and paint your shower container black, you can leave it in the sun and it will heat up quickly so that you can take warm showers. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos.
Four Past Midnight is soooo good! Another awesome video! Thank you! :)
You're so happy and so beautiful we love you and sweet little Joey
That bookstore screams Treasures!!!
So glad "we're" moving again. lol. Your travels make me happy! Thanks. Yoir gramma subbie in Texas..
I always enjoy your videos, stay safe and well dear one.
You look so happy. And your fur baby is so sweet. He enjoys the nomad life too. I would love to do it but I would be nervous being alone. You are doing great and see so many beautiful places that most ppl only dream of. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and I look foward to seeing more of your travels. Be safe.
Thanks, Bonnie!
Hiya, I love the way little Joey look's so chilled out when you are on the move. He look's like he is enjoying every minute. He must be an excellent travel companion. Thanks for your vlogs they really cheer us up.
Stay well stay safe, hugh
I always appreciate your kind comments, Hugh. Thank you so much!
I enjoy your slice of life videos! Thanks so much!
This was really informative. Always a great video, thanks!
I too love the quiet and peace of Arizona and usually hate leaving as well. Left this year later than usual, it was already getting too hot, but this year I was traveling with a friend who was just getting started with Nomadic life and he was a bit of a mess.
This year I did make it down to Los Algadones to get some of my prescriptions refilled and that was a great relief too!
I too have spent plenty of time in Parker boondocking again because it's quiet and close to decent shopping.
You go girl❤️ I love watching you!!
Thank you!
🌼 Thanks Chantelle! I always enjoy your videos! You captured some beautiful skies!!!! 💙
Using the loo is part of life, now people can stop asking.😍
I'VE SEEN OTHERS TIES THE BATHROOM THING TO THEIR VEHICLES AND THEN IT ALSO IS A WIND BLOCKER
I do enjoy your sunset videos. I love the colours.
Hey Chantelle... NEWEST FRIEND! :) Hubby and I were in Quartzsite for SIX WEEKS- kust left 2 days ago headed back home to Oregon. After watching this, I really wish our paths had crossed! Blessed and safe travels.
Good morning Sister 💜
I've been watching your channel because you're doing exactly what I'm about to do.
My name is Lisa Goldberg. I'm 54, divorced, in recovery & a believer. I moved into my Honda Odyssey 2 years ago to escape a relationship & discovered I loved it. It's taken 2 years to work my way out of my head to get to a place of less fear. 2 days ago I moved into a Chevy van. Bigger & built to live in so I can travel...God willing...to see all the Tribe members that have moved from where I've been for almost 30 years, see the places that keep inspiring me to move forward & to go personally thank institutions like K-LOVE radio in Rocklin CA.
I don't feel like I do it well....yet. I have not figured out how I'm going to make a living...yet. I have not gotten brave enough to start selling my art...yet. I don't know how to edit & create cool videos like this....yet. I love all of THESE yets😁
I was in Oregon just before the fires last year & it wouldn't surprise me if we passed each other on the road, LOL. It was so beautiful. That was where I discovered dispersed camping.
Keep doing what you're doing. You & Joey are amazing! 🙏🤗💞
That tent is now a part of your videos 😂 don’t get rid of it yet
Let the new tent be like Foresty Forests crock pot...
@@To_Live_Is_To_Suffer ha ha, yes there is a comedic value there!
Ha! I agree! And I LOVE Foresty Forest too.
Your music choices are AMAZING..
Just found your videos. You are such a joyful young person. Thank you for showing the details of your adventure.
That one stop in 3 is eeverything but very surprised no egg substitute? Real books are EVERYTHING. In my house growing up books were SO important that to this day, I will NEVER throw out abook...SACRILEGE!! Enjoy🐸
Those poop bags are biodegradeable..right? If it was me I would only use 1 bag a day!! Thx for sharing...I think?😉
Thank you for showing this detailed video. I really appreciate you showing the shower process there. I just subscribed!
Nice.
Oh the privacy tent. Get a 5x7 five dollar tarp .to give you privacy, use clips or sew loops on top four corners. Then the side facing the sun or neighbors clip the tarp on that side. It will block the see through side.
Wow ! Your attitude is so wonderful !
Thanks for your information and you covered it all so well !
I like your lights inside your van ! Very cool ! ( the string lights )
This looks like great fun ! I’m going to give it a try soon !!
Wishing you safe travels ! Thanks , again 😁
🙋🏽♀️Soooooo glad you’re at your next spot safe 👍🏽☀️
Funny, my old behind prefers the Kindle. Could be eyesight
Thank you Chantel, I love your videos!! ✌️👍❤️
Thanks for sharing how you wash your hair! This solved a problem I was trying to figure out!
I didn’t know about taking the wand off.😂 Saving tips for future nomad life.
@@sandeedobberstine5591
Here’s another good tip on turning the sprayer into a hand held sprayer.
ua-cam.com/video/rp3rv5og0fk/v-deo.html
@@SweetbearCoyote Thanks!! And it was Brian, great guy. If you can’t tell I just started last winter watching nomads on UA-cam. I’m not out there yet but will be when I retire. Like so many people I’ll have $ for gas but not for rent 😊. Take care
I use the small water bottles to wash my hair. Full em with warm water or let them warm in the sun. My hair is short so it only takes two bottles to do the job.
Look forward to your next video thankyou
Great video Chantelle...I love your videos and your sweet Joey😊
For your shower get a pull out side sprayer for a sink. My shower is 8 gallons, heated by sun in 6 inch pvc pipe on roof and I pressurize it with a bicycle pump..
Nice to meet you, glad your having fun.
I use a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat lod. It is specifically for use for a 5 gallon bucket say from lowes home depot or other places
Info greatly appreciated, started my journey today ,in my van😛
15:05 though!!! That's the life!!
Buy a little pocket bidet. Or make one using a water bottle, for mini shower daily. Very handy.
We have cold weather and snow in Minnesota but it's so green here in the spring summer and fall.
I could not camp on a dirt patch like that but more power to those that can.
Thanks Again For Sharing Your Life Travels Here On UA-cam
Looking forward to your next video; I think I'd prefer a regular campground vs. boondocking in a desert. Someday I hope to be able to travel & live in a vehicle.
I've discovered that when my body tells me to rest or sleep, it is best to listen to it. It's not always necessary to be doing something (a lesson I need to take to heart). Just being still and enjoying those beautiful sunsets has great value. Hopefully you and Joey are doing well.
I love watching your videos
I found using dog lead screw type stakes worked better with my shower tent. Even through the wind
I've been watching some of your older videos lately, and, wow, very fun and inspiring!
Your videos are always sweet and positive! Thanks for that!
Four Past Midnight is a great book!
Liked the video and learned a few ideas from your setup in Cali. Thanks
I use the back of my minvan door. 20x20 tarp. 4 2in clamps. shower room
I agree with you about a real book in hand.
Love your channel. Life is good.
Thanks for another great video.
It’s pretty there! You sound much more happy! I’m glad you got to know the inns and outs! Love the litt”
This was a very informative video. Great job!
Those skies are gorgeous! 😍
Joey . . . you are such a handsome little devil!! A very layedback/easy going little guy. 🐾 💋 muah!!
Love that opening intro...watched it twice! 😍🥰
Was so happy to see you posted this new video. The new 🏕️ site looks great. Really looking forward to finding out about your next location.
This is so real. It really gives you a sense of what it’s like. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks chantelle.
I use the pagoda brand for my out house. It's kinda expensive but more rugged and durable and has a bottom floor.
I love that Joey has his own fan! What a prince
Great video. Loved it!
Nothing like a real book
I just love your channel ❤
Oh yes, thumbs up and subbed 👍💙💜 you are doing great 💙💜 best regards and best wishes
Hey thanks for letting me spend some time with you I'm I'm glad to see you I've never I've never seen you getting on this channel before but I like it talk to you later bye
