It just enjoys so much how wynston loves his play pen! So many times you buy something for your fur babies and they have nothing to do with it, but he really uses his play pen every day all the time❣️👍
A Rid-A-Rat is worth it's weight in gold to keep rodents out of the engine in Arizona (Ace Hardware has, usually behind a lock). I've had one for 6 years now and I highly recommend them. Also, so glad you are being conscious about rattlesnakes, a dog got bitten by one here in Oro Valley this week and we're cooler than the Q. I've seen other UA-camrs telling people they don't have to worry about rattlesnakes - so wrong!
The people that own iRobot need to make one that patrols around your car and chases mice away. They should also offer an optional laser attachment that vaporizes scorpions and chases snakes away. I don't know about you, but I would buy one.
Rattlesnakes, Yikes. I am heading to Arizona for a few weeks in January or so. I am concerned about getting Mice so will have your Granpa Gus and Lights with me.
I'd recommend solar motion activated lites. Steel wool or caulk any gaps. NVR leave shoes out, always look in them 4 scorpions. They can evn crawl along ceiling n drop on U. Use a walking stick & make enuf noise as ya walk & snakes n scorpions will stay out of ur way. Snacks, etc. in metal box w metal lid or jars.
I am so glad you are at Quartzsite and can enjoy it before the crowds arrive. It is as though you were reading my mind as I wanted to ask you where you had purchased your outdoor rug and after watching your video now I know. Are those water jugs 3 gallons? May I ask where you purchased them? Have a great time!
Glad to see you and Wynston are back, as for mouse man, MATTY he doesn't have a lady touch when keeping van clean, I guess it's a guy thing. as for me I always keep food and treats in air tight containers
I've been watching your videos for 1 year. I've been living in my van since July 1st this year. Thank you for the wonderful videos and giving me inspiration. Kisses to Winston ❤
buy one of the 12X12 quality name brand popup shades. then using "bug screen" for the sides. and 4 of the 5 gallon buckets filled with local dirt for corner weight. lots of shade.
Hi Amanda, I'm so jealous, lol, jk. I counting the day. I will be in Q the middle of January (wish I could go sooner but hubby is still working) anyway. How where do you spray the repellent spray, just in side the hood or around the tires too. I'll be ordering before I leave to Q. Can't wait to see you use your drone. Take care my friend.
Amanda please tell me if the snakes come out where you all camp? I mean do they crawl around (getting from place to place) so you’d see them either close or far from you? Or do they stay in certain areas like caves or enclosures where you have to go look for them? I’ve never been to the SW before & have heard stories about the rattlers who have been found in peoples yards & bit their pets, etc. I have a small dog who will be w/me so I’m very concerned.
I have never personally seen one around my camp. And in the winter it's SO rare they are out. They prefer warm weather. They will be around bushes/shade. I camp away from washes to avoid such scenarios.
À "wash" is a low lying area where water has flowed, like a small river bed. We in AZ, avoid thm not only uneven, rocky terrain, THAT'S where any water cud RUSH thru as a "flash flood" There & gone B4 U can get out of it's way. EVRY yr. people get caught & car n all, washed away🤠
Haven't spent the winter in QUARTZSITE since 2016. I've heard there's been many improvements done and more planned. Do you think there's going to be increases in the fees?
@@AdventuringWithAmanda The long-term permit is $180 for the entire season. With a short-visit permit being $40 for 14 consecutive days from date of purchase. I was thinking maybe these permit fees might be increased or other fees introduced for dumping waste or some other amenity costs. I've never known the government to do something for nothing.
Are mice/rats that bad of an issue there? Was listening to this and started a counter to see how many references to mice/rats and the related issues there are.

He does! It's his safe space.
The mice spray info was very good.thanks
Congrats have a great time and thanks for all the tips!
I may have said this before, but Wynston has got it made!
Enjoy your day!
You also. 💓
It's good to see you and Matty back together again and, of course, Wynston. Hopefully he gets the mouse. Watch out for the mice and snakes.

Try whole cloves for mice.
Nice spot to camp in Q, I won't be making it to the south west this coming season. Hola from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
A drone ! Awesome ! I just love ur little boy ❤
Thank you!!
Hi Amanda, happy to see you back in Quartszide. I was hoping to get there this year but I don’t feel good driving alone.
Mice … 🤮

Beautiful spot . Stay safe out there 🌺🌸💐. Lots of love and hugs to you and Winston 🌼🌼
Sweet! Now I can buy Wynston a beer😂
Ahaha that's right!
So happy you and Wynston are back in Quartzsite with Matty. Have fun! 😊❤️
Hi Amanda and Wynston! Love the flag intro. Your sis gets you the most awesome presents! Time for some Quartzsite.👍

Hi Amanda
I’ll be there in a few days.
Be safe!
I love aventurine. I have a darker one with a line of gold flecks running through it. I hope to have some of my rock collection with me when I travel.
I would be so afraid a rattlesnake would crawl under my car in the middle of the night and get me when I step out in the morning
Here's the thing......Fear is its own punishment. That snake doesn't want to deal with you. Ever.

Good to see you made it safely to Q. Put an airbag or similar on your drone so you don't lose it! Excited to see what you capture on it!!

No need! I have an awning, and there aren't many bugs in the winter.
How do you find a place to camp? Do the campsites have fire rings or something to mark them or do you just drive into the desert and pick a spot?
😅space is at a premium wen living in a van!🤭😅😂🤠
Anxious to see what you think of the drone. I've been thinking about getting one and your upcoming experiences can help influence that decision.
Don't park too close to matty's mouse mansion😂

I spray it in my engine bay and wheels wells about once a week. ❤️
Wynston is always so cute in his playpen hehehe. Thanks for all the good quartzsite tips too!
Thanks for the videos on quartzite! I was wondering....are the fees different for Canadians. I am working up the courage to head south! Tia
Fees are not different for Canadians. ❤️
@AdventuringWithAmanda Amazing! Thank you for the reply!
I enjoy your videos. I have a question about safety. Do you feel that area is safe for a solo 60+ female. It would be my first time to Quartzsite.
Yes!
Thank you! @@AdventuringWithAmanda
Hello from Vancouver island British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦. Whose Matt? Thanks for all this info.

This may be a silly question but, when you go into town do you pack up everything you've set out or just leave it and nobody messes with it???
I will address this on my upcoming Q&A video! 💞
@@AdventuringWithAmanda Thank you so much ☺️ I love all your tips and tricks to van life. Just living vicariously 😃

I'm not sure what fees you're speaking of, but fees at the LTVAs have not been increased.

Yes mice especially like to get in RVs or vehicles that sit for a while. Personally I haven't had issues.
While staying there, if you go to the store or whatever, do you leave your rug and stuff to save your spot?
Yes.
So, is the taco bell open yet?
#vanlife
I saw it but didn't visit since it's inside the Pilot.
