Such a great video as always! :) I'd love to see a client dashboard if you ever have the time! I'm trying to figure out a way to create one that isn't super chaotic and I really love your approach to Notion.
I wouldn't, especially if you already have all the tasks in there! I just changed a few things like the Status properties and adding that week # property, which you can add via this formula if you'd like: formatDate(prop("Due Date"), "W") + " | " + formatDate(prop("Due Date"), "Y")
Hi Kalyn! Thank you for this wonderful and extremely useful master task list template! It has made me want to use notion again! : ) Under "all" you have the different tasks divided by status. How do I do that? Is so very useful to see one thin at a time to not be overwhelmed!
Aww, I love that! Go to the three dots at the top right of the database and find "Group". Click on that and you can choose the property you want to group by. In this case, it would be "Status".
Thanks Kalyn, this is so helpful! I downloaded the template and can't wait to use it. What's the difference between 'in progress' and 'current' for you? I'm wondering if it's also possible to share your personal dashboard template? Thanks again!
You're most welcome! I see "Current" as tasks that I haven't done anything with yet (not started) and "In Progress" as tasks I've started, but take more than one session to complete. You could easily delete that "In Progress" status option if you wanted to stick with "Current" though. You don't technically need both. :)
I did upload the Master Task List yesterday, really helpful, thanks for sharing it for free :) . I love your approach on Notion that makes it so much simple to get used to use and actually use it ^^. I have I question though, could you explain the difference between Current and In Progress? Is 'In Progress' for longer task?
You're very welcome! For me, "In Progress" is a task that will take multiple sessions to complete (like this video-it took two sessions to edit!). But you don't need that option if your brain likes the idea of "Current" better. You can easily delete or change the statuses to fit what you prefer!
I don't think I mentioned this, but I do add a linked view of my Master Task List in my content pages to show me which tasks I need to complete for that content piece (ex. a UA-cam video). So glad you enjoyed this one!
Another quick question for the hive mind: is there a way to see all your pages in Notion in a list? or in the back end somehow? I want to clean things up!
The only way to currently see all your pages is in the sidebar. You should be able to expand and view everything and what it's under there and delete accordingly! Hope that helps.
It is! If you want a Monday start, you can use this formula: formatDate(prop("Due Date"), "W") + " | " + formatDate(prop("Due Date"), "Y") For Sunday starts, just change the big "W" to a little "w".
I really like the way you explain things. That’s why I spent 21 minutes watching this video despite it being quite basic for me. Keep. It up! :)
I appreciate the kind words!
Great video Kalyn! Guess I’ll spend the rest of the day watching all the ones you suggested!
Enjoy!!
Great video! Definitely will try it out, thank you! ❤️❤️
You’re welcome 😊

brilliant - thanks for sharing:)!
Thank you for watching!
Always enjoy a task video from you KB - quick Q - if ive already downloaded, should I download the newest version? 😊

@@KalynBrookeCo thanks for the clarification, I'll keep it for a while to see if it make sense in my organization :)
Thanks for the video! Are these the only places you have your master task list linked? It was nice to see 2 videos within a week.Take Care

You do a great job!! More commentary later….
Thanks! Will look forward to hearing from you!

Is Week # a formula property?
It is! If you want a Monday start, you can use this formula:
formatDate(prop("Due Date"), "W") + " | " + formatDate(prop("Due Date"), "Y")
