Basically, modifies = describes. In this case, it describes the word “drove”. It is an adverb of time because it describes when the action took place.
Here is an interesting bit of trivia regarding Measurements.
In American Sign Language, you can count to 10 on one hand. 1, 2, 4 & 5 are known by everyone. Three is extending the Index, Middle finger and Thumb. Six has the thumb touch the Pinky. Seven has the thumb touch the ring finger. Eight has the thumb touch the middle finger. Nine has the thumb touch the index finger. 10 is the “Thumb up” gesture.
