Poor Francis looks so hungry for the daikon mochi because they look and probably smell so delicious! I love your cooking show. You and Francis are adorable!!
I just made this recipe for dinner. I altered it, because I'm allergic to rice -- I used whole wheat flour instead of rice flour. I also added minced cabbage, because I love cabbage and include it in almost everything I cook. It essentially came out like Asian inspired hushpuppies. :D Next time I make it I plan on making spicy gravy to pour on top. Thanks, Chef and Francis!
I love how this dish is Chinese inspired and has a Japanese take on it. The original version of course takes a lot more time to make and is what I am used to eating. However, I bet that the Japanese style of the Radish Cake is delicious as well :D I cannot wait to try it ^-^
Do you guys have an Instagram? I don't post videos right now... I would like to tag you guys in it if you have one. But if not, I will post it on Facebook.
on my country there"s a snack that use turnip cake, spring roll, yam cake, & siew may that are cut into bite sized pieces & served with sauce, you can choose between sweet & sour sauce, spicy sauce & soy sauce (you can use all of the sauce too) & it's garnished with fried onions & sesame seeds!! so good!
Cooking with dog show is delightful. I see they used shrimp for these cakes which probably tastes even better. The dog is adorable. I thought she was going to feed a bit of the cake to the dog.
it's cute seeing the needlefelt Francis and the stuffed Francis in the Foodie TV series being used as setpieces! i hope to see more Go! Francis! in the future.
Dear Foodie Lover, this is Yummy n I want to try. May I know what is sticky/sweet flour called in Malaysia. Is it gultinuous rice flour or wheat starch ? Thank u, Rena
Chinese restaurants where I live make these with minced pork as well as shrimp, so that definitely works! Also, whoever is doing the English translation is doing a really good job - Francis' grammar is perfect, even with his accent. :V
Dog seemed so desperate to take a bite from that turnip mochi! I will make these for my 主人, Hopefully his 中国人 pallet approves. Can't wait to make it.... and eat it! Thanks for the recipe!
+Cooking with Dog Yes ^_^ Now I can share it with my friends! (I'm French) It's really cool to let the community adds subtitles and I love working on your videos!! I work on your other recipes now, I hope you enjoy!
Oh my gosh! Francis can speak such fluent cantonese :) I am thoroughly impressed with his pronunciation of the Chinese turnip cake. My grandma approves of this recipe by the way!
This is a good invention! I love the radish cake, but it's a big job to make, and you get a lot. Then we're just going to cut it up and fry it anyway, it makes so much sense to just make it in patties and fry it directly. Why didn't I think of that?
Oh my god. This looks fantastic. And thank you for being so wonderfully professional looking in your video. The last several I watched were just horrendous.
Chef's smile makes me feel warm and fuzzy, she feels so caring :)
I love that chef makes a lot of her dishes in smaller quantities than other recipes.

For small quantities this is faster but for large quantities it probably evens out.

Mmm!! Easy yet satisfying! Love you!
I'm a fan of Chinese turnip cake and I think this is a fantastic version of it. The mochi must add a nice chewiness to it!

I didn't realize it was that easy. I have to try this delicious recipe.
Dear Foodie Lover, this is Yummy n I want to try. May I know what is sticky/sweet flour called in Malaysia. Is it gultinuous rice flour or wheat starch ? Thank u, Rena
Hello, sticky/sweet rice flour (mochiko or shiratamako in Japanese) is glutinous rice flour.😊 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glutinous_rice
Chinese restaurants where I live make these with minced pork as well as shrimp, so that definitely works!
Also, whoever is doing the English translation is doing a really good job - Francis' grammar is perfect, even with his accent. :V
Wow thank you for adding all the subtitles!
I loved the music in the background.
Dog seemed so desperate to take a bite from that turnip mochi!
I will make these for my 主人,
Hopefully his 中国人 pallet approves. Can't wait to make it.... and eat it! Thanks for the recipe!
Adding some Chinese sausages and preserved pork would be SUPER delicious! Which is also the traditional way.

thanks for the subtitles, so I can improve my English :)
Aaaawwww the doggy is so cuuuute 😍😍😍🐶🐶🐶
i love your puppy and your snack Thanks
I've never had fried mochi. Definitely want to try this

Sticky rice flour different from glutinous rice flour?
