    Dope car but totally misleading title. No offense but it Should have been called "showing off my wrx plus going to the gym" didn't hear jack squat about what to look for when buying a used wrx besides buy one that's not modified.

    I think because the car is "all stock" when you buy it, doesn't guarantee that the previous owner didn't had mods before you. It's pretty easy to put a car back to stock before trade in, unless you are talking internals, bigger turbo, etc. All bolt-ons, reflashs, etc can be removed and stock parts put back on. But anyways, nice ride. Hope you enjoy it.

    Grats on the Subie, I also have a my15, wrb color, 6 spd but modded stage 2+. It's night and day from stock to stg 2+, the fun factor is finally there and still retain 25 mpg city and over 30 hwy. BTW, if it has "rally horns", it usually was modded a lot more than just the horns, but w/ that "certification" to back you up (as long as you keep it bone stock) should give you that peace of mind you're looking for. Enjoy!!!

    Manuals don't have to be "bouncy." Actually, if you do it well it will be more smooth than an automatic... including the WRX (I have a 2016 stage 2+, one of the harder cars to drive smooth I will say but definitely possible).

    any mods planned for the WRX? Just went to look at a 2017 WRX today and had to walk away. Dealer informed it was modded but it looked stock from the outside. I popped the hood saw Perrin dress-up, chargepipe, ets intercooler, oil cooler and flex fuel etc. Its safe to say i probably dodged a bullet. The WRX is reliable but dont buy a modded one. You never know how the previous owner used it. For I know it could have been a track car. I clicked this video because Ive been looking for a wrx for awhile

    That is definitely not 15% tint. Limo black is usually 5% and you cant see through it. 20% is really dark and will get you pulled over easily, but the tint thats on your car looks to be around 50% and most likely legal.

      @ThurgoodJenkinz 7 років тому

      Ok, they are pretty dark. I was going to say, you cant even see through 15% tint. I wouldnt go any darker than 35%, because it will just give cops a reason to pull you over

    • @clplusp8762
      @clplusp8762 7 років тому

      Chris even 35 % all around might get u pulled over, especially if u use black. Semi reflective allows u to go darker bc it allows a bit of see thru. 50 % up front and 35 everywhere else can squeeze by looking semi legal on a sunny day but will look questionable if overcast. From the comments it seems that we're all kind of tint fans. I wish the wrx had kept frameless wondows.

    I post this comment at about 2:00 of your video (haven't seen the rest just yet). I think it is normal if your usual viewers are "truck" fans, they are not as interested in cars even if it's a sports car! Same for me here who has a 2015 WRX limited, if I look at your video right now, I'm certainly not as interested if not at all in "trucks" (no insult intended here) because it is just not my type of vehicule even though I can appreciate a nice one when I see one, just not my cup of tea!

  • @K03sport

    in service date is more important than actual year model of the car. Your 2015 could have been put in service in January or November or anywhere in between in 2015 and that can have an affect on overal miles. A recent 2018 WRX Base w/14k miles I looked at in August 2019 already had really dark tint (not my style) + windshield banner, steering wheel emblem overlays (center and bottom), and black/red "WRX" fender garnish. The car was stock, everything in its place, but the car had odd paint scratches around the rear doors and the interior had all kinds of scratches around the shifter and rough feeling wiper/turn stalks. Plus some of the white lettering on the stalks was already beginning to fade. I guess that is a sign of over detailing. Otherwise the car seemed solid, but I passed as it wasn't CPO and there was no owner history.

    i bought a certified preowned 2010 wrx. it spent like months in the shop right after i bought it. blew the front diff, cracked 1st and 2nd gear, broken firewall, etc, etc, etc. all done under warranty. then i dumped 4k into the motor and voided any warranty. all within 8 months of owning it lol.

    Found your channel by chance. Love trucks and Subie's! We have a '07 3500 Dodge Ram it's a awesome truck that will pull a house over a 10,000 foot summit and beg for more. But the love of my life, besides my husband, is my 06 WRX STi! When Joe brought it home back in '06 I thought he had lost his mind! He started telling me about how great this ugly little rice rocket with a park bench on it's ass was. I wasn't convinced and wanted no part of this ugly little car. I didn't want to drive it or even be a passenger. I kept asking over and over "What is this thing?" I had never seen any advertising about it. But most importantly I didn't want any of my friends to see me in it! This wasn't a muscle car and it certainly wasn't a race car!!!! Then a couple weeks later Joe had barrowed my truck and I was forced to take the Subie. OMG!!! I took that first corner and knew I was driving something very special. I gave it a little gas to merge onto the freeway and looked down and saw that I was going 92 mph!!! I couldn't believe it! I have had a variety of cars from VW's to a '72 Z28, several Mustangs and a couple awesome Vets. And in one corner and less than a mile this ugly little car had stolen my heart! I couldn't believe it. I love driving and I take it very seriously. This ugly little car made driving fun! Eleven years later and I am still having too much fun. It has never failed me and it has done everything that I have asked of it. Because of its ability to move and mannuver so rapidly it has save my bacon from some of these idiots driving blindly as if they are the only one on the road. My husband had a company car, a Ford Tarus, which the company desided to discontinue the use of the company cars and go back to a car allowance. So being a the analyst that he is after months of research this is what he brought home. We also at the time had a '97 2500 Dodge Ram. About a year and a half later Joe needed a truck for work and asked me to trade vehicles with him. I said sure and every once in a while I even let him drive it. So to answer your questions on why know one seemed interested in your video I believe because until you get behind the wheel it's just not even a blip on most people's radar. Most of my friends to this day still ask "What Is it?" And when I have let people drive it they come back and they are wowed!! "Boy that little thing is fast! Yes it is! I still think that it's ulgy but what a personality!!! And she sure can cook!!Rory Mcknight

    Christ, I can't believe your getting such great fuel economy. My 2016 STI literally eats gas, it's not cool, I have to fill up two to three times a week with 93 oct. For reference, my dad has a Bronco that he fills up less often then I fill up my STI, a turbo 4 Cylinder should never be more of a gas guzzler than a truck. I'm considering selling the car already and maybe hopping in a WRX or Golf R instead.

      @woohunter1 7 років тому

      Dominick Carney I'm averaging right around 30mpg's, as long as I don't have my general arctics on and running winter blend gas, also 91 octane is hard for me to find in quality gas stations, so I only go to BP or Shell and use 93 octane. Also helps to not slow down for curves!!!

    • @dominickcarney
      @dominickcarney 7 років тому

      I mainly use 92 octane as 93 is hard to find over here. And I literally cruise control whenever I hop on a free way, and hold that clutch in whenever down hill etc. I try so hard to get to 25+ mpg but can never get there 😩
      So your recommending winter blend gas, 93 octane and not running general arctics?
      I'll read up on what winter blend gas is but what are general arctics? Tires?

      Dominick Carney no, winter blend is terrible for gas and so is winter tires. I get the best gas mileage when I use my factory dunlops and summer gas

      Dominick Carney coast in gear, not with the clutch in. This uses zero gas. Also it's better practice anyway in case you need throttle for some situation on the road.

    Nah fuck that. I care more about your WRX than your Duramax. But that's me... I own an 18 WRX myself.

    If it's slammed, dont buy it. If it's been modified with stickers of tuuning companies and shops no ones heard of, dont buy it. If it's cheaper than usual, dont buy it.... it's almost certainly cheaper for a reason. If it was owned by anyone under the age of 25, dont buy it. There, summed up way more, minus all the gay ads into music nonsense.
