  • In 1962 the USSR label, Всесоюзная Студия Грамзаписи , released the Concerto no.1 for violin and orchestra by Bartok, with David Oistrakh and the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Gennadi Roshdestvensky, to the US market via Connoisseur Record Corp. out of Kearny, New Jersey.
    This upload is that album, in mono, with cat. no. 33Д-010977-78, and was played on a #Garrard401 using an Ortofon AS212 mk2 tonearm paired with an #ATMONO3/LP cartridge. A #GrahamSlee Era Gold V phonotage connects to a Tascam DR07 mk2 for A to D conversion.
