My son is non-verbal autistic, and I was calling Sarah all types of names right along with Marty because Autistic children are awesome and they have a high tolerance for pain, so when they're upset or cry it's because something bad or someone bad, is bothering them? No lie, my son waves his arms happily but if he senses some crappy person around he'll stand next to me with his arms across his chest? He's such a sweetheart!
As someone with ASD, I appreciate the respect @Nerd Explains gives the condition. And yes, furry pets are wonders, for ASD and in general. Have to comment as a verbal autistic individual here - learning how to "talk properly" is a LOT MORE FREAKING COMPLEX than the "Nerd Explains" narrator is saying, otherwise, "Speech Therapy" wouldn't exist for the folks with Autism that can actually speak and other people that have trouble with other developmental issues. Just "learning by parental example" often doesn't work, without other therapy, classes, and/or Special Education. If that issue did work that way, almost any kid with a developmental disability would be able to speak. One personal common issue - young kids (and non-verbal folks) often have, to annoying, deal with is spelling issues vs. pronounation issues. One common issue I'd have was confusing my lowercase "b"s with "d"s and vice-versa. This means I could read the word but either write and/or say many English words improperly. And that wasn't even the only problem - some words I'd hear and just end up saying improperly without thinking about it, while others I could say properly but be unable to spell them correctly. (Note: I say college rather than university most of the time because I literally still have to look up how I spell university but don't have to do that for the word college. Keep in mind that I have a college degree as an adult yet still have come spelling issues). Ironically, it seems like Larry is a better person than either of the kid's literal parents because he tries to be a nice guy and listen to his "friend", even if he's failing by human standards. The kid's parents seem like the ones I'd expect to see at an "Autism Speaks" meeting because they can't accept their kid's issues.
This movie is a bit sad but also so nice i don't know how to describe it but i like the feeling it didn't scare me but it was still somewhat scary i just love it
Wait is it definitely not actually the mom at the end? I thought it was supposed to be her and she just also lives in Larry's world with him and can only come out sometimes like Larry can

Like, the woman in Babadook at least had the "excuse" of being heavily in grief and mentally ill and blatantly needed psychological care herself, not to mention her gremlin was about a million times worse than a nonverbal autist like this one.
Love you videos!
joe biden is hot asf
"Kids don't communicate with people who don't listen." Well there's a few of our childhoods wrapped up in a nutshell lmao. Greatly appreciate your emphasis on meeting kids on the spectrum where they're at.
How to beat scary larry: t o u c h g r a s s
I liked this video a lot more than some of the recent ones. The editing was really clean and not overwhelming. Other videos just had so many cuts to random things that made sense with a word that was said, but really made it hard to pay attention. Definitely enjoying the change in pace
Would still love a how to survive the crazy family in house of a thousand corpses
Unless you're raising bright burn was it for me😂😂😂
He ain't wrong 😂
oh i remember this movie, i was always thinking if i had a kid and they were on some sus app, id snap that shit in half life a carrot and dip it in holy water
Scary Larry
Coulda sworn I saw a teen titans go episode about this
Larry can be explained by "Because you always on that damn phone!"
gotta do talk to me next
My son is non-verbal autistic, and I was calling Sarah all types of names right along with Marty because Autistic children are awesome and they have a high tolerance for pain, so when they're upset or cry it's because something bad or someone bad, is bothering them? No lie, my son waves his arms happily but if he senses some crappy person around he'll stand next to me with his arms across his chest? He's such a sweetheart!
Bro can roast anybody. 17:20 Anyone is up for grabs.
As someone with ASD, I appreciate the respect @Nerd Explains gives the condition. And yes, furry pets are wonders, for ASD and in general. Before other people mention it, I am only speaking to my feelings and they are likely to differ from, you know, ALL people on the spectrum (obviously) (sarcasm tag but in good humor).
What stopping Oliver from simply WRITING DOWN what he's seeing??
Oliver doesn't need a Electronic Device for that, just a Pen/Pencil and some paper.
It depends on what specific level he’s at. He may not be able to explain in full words what’s happening
Didn't see the movie but when it got to the end I was like " yeah that's Larry "
Not gonna lie I really like the lore and creature design of scary Larry I’m kinda impressed
Wait…is it really Larry posing as the mother in the end!??
No one knows
Larry is Buffalo Bill
god the parents suck- like oh no your child got diagnosed with autism? guess that changes everything for some reason??? like he always had it its just that he now got diagnosed-
He would probably be better off with Larry. Atleast Larry seems to care about him.
After babadook, my ass would NOT have finished the book. Id be taking away phones, ipads, and tv’s. Plus making compressive notecards for Oliver as well as abundant pencil and paper for him to communicate
Scp 096 looking weirdo be chillin the corner he got into the spicy nachos
Ok ok yeah I remember this movie
Finally video!
A Wendigo-Xenomorph is an interesting idea for a movie
she really Britta'd it
I will never ever watch a nerd explains video without this iconic voice as narrator
This movie is a bit sad but also so nice i don't know how to describe it but i like the feeling it didn't scare me but it was still somewhat scary i just love it
Solution to beating Larry: PUTTING DOWN THE DAMN PHONE AND GOING OUTSIDE TO EXPERIENCE THE REAL WORLD.
I think the Spartan’s method of child raising would ensure this did not happen
Good idea.
That kid would've been dead, then. Cliff+Kid=dead.
That would cut down the population of the earth by like 70%☠️☠️☠️
@@Miekio123that's a good thing.

I need a how to beat the evil scientist in They cloned Tyrone video 😅
Wait is it definitely not actually the mom at the end? I thought it was supposed to be her and she just also lives in Larry's world with him and can only come out sometimes like Larry can
Next your should do stinky pete from toy story 2
Would you ever do a How To Beat the Babadook? Your videos are awesome! 0:35
Honestly.... Larry is a better parent than Sarah AND Marty put together. At least he always pays attention to the poor kid. Another case of people having a child so they have someone to virtue-signal about :/
Could you please do a “how to beat” video on a movie called “attraction” or it’s second part? It has cool alien water benders and giant space ships capable of deep faking , controlling mass media and framing people for domestic terrorism. And it has a cool revolution and a government corruption scheme.(It also has a cool underwater scene).I am asking for the sixty fifth time and will continue asking.
P.S. I haven’t got the notification for this video, that’s why I am late
You should do the raid redemption for your next video I feel like you’d have a field day with it
No... The Raid movies Are perfect!!!. And he said he loves The Raid movies
@@FaceFamous ah unfortunate I just watched for the first time and noticed that the main dude straight up refuses to pick up weapons so I thought of nerd explains
Still a better story than it was when this was the movie “Black Water”.
So it's Babadook without the book and a digital one instead?
Glad I watch these videos so I don't have to waste time on rehashed films.
