When a historical document - any historical document, describes something which is just natural, and then another story teller comes along hundreds of years later (1500 in Muhammad's case), and describes supernatural events, you know it is a myth. It is quite possible that if the Muslim invaders would let them, archeologists could dig down under the temple mount, and find inscriptions saying the same kind of things - as there are in other ancient sites like the pyramids. It is not just that the Quran says something outrageous, but that there are historical documents which contradict it.

In the Old Testament, angels are mentioned very rarely, but they are God's messengers (angel means messenger), sent to do God's will. We are given almost no explanation about them. There are no creatures like jinn mentioned in the Old Testament. Jinns are common in Arab and Persian mythology, and they appear in stories like Aladdin and his magic lamp. And in the Quran.

The question is how is that number maintained. For example, the most sophisticated instrument we created - the smartphone - changes every 4-5 years because the battery decays. The Bible says the temple was built by craftsmen (1 Kings 7). I don't have to prove that the Bible is reliable to prove this is true. Of course it is true. When a historical document - any historical document, describes something which is just natural, and then another story teller comes along hundreds of years later (1500 in Muhammad's case), and describes supernatural events, you know it is a myth. The Quran has no credibility. Muhammad - and it seems most Muslims, have no ability to discern between the truth and a myth. Even Yassir Qadhiis on record acknowledging the Dhul Qarnyan story is a myth.

It is quite possible that if the Muslim invaders would let them, archeologists could dig down under the temple mount, and find inscriptions saying the same kind of things - as there are in other ancient sites like the pyramids.
It is not just that the Quran says something outrageous, but that there are historical documents which contradict it.

In the Old Testament, angels are mentioned very rarely, but they are God's messengers (angel means messenger), sent to do God's will. We are given almost no explanation about them. There are no creatures like jinn mentioned in the Old Testament.
Jinns are common in Arab and Persian mythology, and they appear in stories like Aladdin and his magic lamp. And in the Quran.

Frank is inconsistent as Brother Imran has shown. When we apply his own arguments against the Christian faith and books, he would have to reject it. But he doesn't. It's why the point of the talking donkey is made.

He wants to promote the ridiculous idea that jinns built the temple, and believes it is me who has to prove that the Bible, which says it was built by men, is reliable. Face it. You have to deny miracles and elements of the supernatural like Angels and Demons/devils. This has been pointed out to you several times by Imran and others several times. Somehow you do this with the Qur'an but don't with the Bible.
We Muslims take this as one of the miracles bestowed upon Prophet Solomon. Now you can deny that based on what you believe in the Bible. Imran and others then do have the right to ask you to verify that the source you're citing is reliable. You claimed initially it was from God and then said it is irrelevant whether the passages you referred to were by men or God. It isn't irrelevant.
This isn't the first time you brought up something about the Qur'an that the same or similar objections can be said about the Bible. So ultimately it comes down to who can prove who has the strongest case for which of the books are from God.
And if you do believe in miracles and God can bestow such things, then your argument falls flat. You're not an atheist to make such an argument. And if you were, the bigger concern would be around whether there is a God or not.

Surah 34 says the bronze-work in the temple was done by jinns. This is a stupid statement. It then goes on to say that when he died, Solomon's body balanced on a stick for some unspecified period to trick the jinns. This a stupid statement. No intelligent person can believe it.
The Bible says the temple was built by craftsmen (1 Kings 7). I don't have to prove that the Bible is reliable to prove this is true. Of course it is true.
There is a lot of really stupid stuff in the Quran. Muslims insult God by attributing this nonsense to him. It was God's will that this nonsense should be in the Quran so that anyone who sincerely seeks him will know that the Quran is a false message, and is not from Him.
