As I started watching this video I thought uh maybe lol. The difference is amazing!
I like to just “naturally” break my tires in but I do crawl multiple times a week.
If I didn’t have that kind of time I’d certainly be trying this method 🤘🏻
@@StevenYDG69 yeah it just seems to take forever with the small trucks cause they don’t really have the weight needed to break them in quickly. For me I can crawl my course 5 days a wk and still not truly break a tire in well. But it’s usually not hours at a time with one truck either.
Interesting tip. I never thought about it, even not on crawlers. I'll test this
I like to put the 1/10 scale Crawler Tires on my basher and burn em up a bit on the concrete 😊 it's my How to get rid of old Crawler Tires video
@@jimbo4203 lol
I also shared your video to a FB group. Because this always crossed my mind , that I can’t ever break in a tire because I change them so often.
@@SoFIo_RC really appreciate the share! It helps a ton 🙏
I was wondering if this would work. I was thinking of doing the same thing but I didn't want to damage my tires. I don't think i have any tires scrubbed in even a fraction of that but it looks like I found todays mod. Thank you for testing this.
@@alienateed4101 yeah I have tires I’ve had for yrs that are nowhere near this scrubbed lol. It works!
Killing those videos... Keep it up!
@@bigkountrygoodale6750 thanks man!
Man I would have really loved to see a before and after. But nonetheless I trust you 😅
@@SoFIo_RC there’s a quick before at 9:25 on the main rock I was testing on. Didn’t have the failed attempt on the other climb or I would’ve added it also. Already deleted that vid since it didn’t make it up lol
@@2fmrc dang my bad I guess I missed it .
I remember back in the day when Axial brought out the AX10 Scorpion RTR trying all kinds of ideas for better performance out of stock tires.
I really wonder if doing that in the sand would give even better effect as it would reach in-between the lugs
That difference is crazy 😮
I also manually burn in tires on my smaller rigs, but I just hold the truck down on a flat rock with a small amount of pressure. It doesn't always create the perfect burn-in, but it gets the process started and then I let it happen organically from there.
Them land mines where glued to the rocks nice tire mod 🔥🔥🔥😎👍
I always run a soft in the rear cause it really helps with a bigger contact patch and also helps push the front up while climbing.
The front I use a medium because I like the firmer side wall for advanced driving tricks..
You've just killed the sells of the tire market.😄
Thanks for the great tip !!!
I do this as well with 1/24 and 1/10. I think it helps
Def gonna try it with a set of km3s and see what happens
It's gonna blow🤣 ....
Cool tip thanks 🤘✌️
Good stuff man!
Neat trick 🤙
Do it on 100grit sand paper for quicker results......
@@KTMKID450 yeah that’s what normally do with the race tires. Out atm so the concrete it is lol
It is crazy how a good break in can really bring out the best in a tire! Some of the best crawlers on my landscape rocks are actually OG 1.0 Chi-rax on my original 2 Deadbolts. I think it is because they have had like 1,000 packs put on them by the kids and neighbors.
Those Jcon tires looking good out on your rocks!
@@JacobScherer I believe it! I’m gonna do a bunch more of my tires lol
Your coarse is getting sweet, I like it good work......
@@KTMKID450 thanks! Hoping to expand the crawling soon! Was waiting for a little cooler weather. Now it won’t stop raining lol
The Proline Super Swampers I stuck on my TRX4 were terrible until they started looking ratty. Gonna go raid my parts bags and make a couple scrubbing rigs 👌
@@wikyWargaming yeah the 1.9 swampers are amazing just before death lol. My buddy had a set that destroyed some lines! Let me know how it works for you
Just buy black labels they come out of the package completely soft and broke In...and for half the cost of j concepts
@@Gr8PNWRC I have them. I think I still have them anyway. They do ok. Definitely not this good but I haven’t scrubbed them yet lol
Matt I’d really like to see your opinion (and testing) on the Exocaged pro code inserts or something similar… real outer foam with a printed dual stage. Wonder if it would be the best of both worlds
@@V8chump I have some on the way 😉
I was not sure at first I was like mmmmm probably get ruined but at the same time I kinda had a feeling it would work but damn it worked!! Ima have to try this out for sure!
@@24Krawlers yeah I felt like it would for sure help but didn’t think it would help as much as it actually did!
Which direction did you burn them in forward or reverse?
@@paulgarcia8846 forward
Great info Matt , awesome video brother 👍
will injora pins slow crawl that?
I have a set stretched on 1.3 wheels that slow crawl it well with stock foams. I haven’t even scrubbed them at all so I’m going to be working on them soon just to see how much better they can get lol
Will defo have to try this on a older set of tires I never had good luck with.
Also on a side note, if you had the opportunity to buy either a cr18p evo pro brushless or a cayman 1 (power wagon with mini komodo pancake) both at the same price, which would you pick ?
Asking for a friend 🥸
@@Karibouski that’s tough. I absolutely love the cr18p Evo. The only thing I HATE about it is the slop in the driveline. It makes it tough to drive at times. The Furitek has some slop also though so for me I think I’d go Evo
Love this idea and what a difference!
@@FYRC15 it was actually way more of a difference than I expected lol
@@2fmrc yeah I’m going to try this on a set of my Injora all terrain. I also will make a vid on it. If you would allow me I will mention and tag you? My channel is small but im growing steady.
Gonna have to try this 🛻💨
@@2LocosRCing let me know what tires you try and if it works for you!
