I woke up singing this song today. Tearfully..Gregg, I love you and your music. Feels like I lost a family member. I am so sad. Yet I have his music and videos that I play daily.
a very important person in my life, never met him, but grew up listening to him constantly. Then my mom learned every word and insisted we play " WILL THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN " at her funeral. We did and now I love him more than ever 💖
I did meet him and he was kind ,sweet ,soft spoken, rather humble too but I’ve been a fan all my early teenage years and think u picked a great song from a true Legend !!

Baby, please keep your hair this long. You are the sexiest mother out there. Thanks for putting smiles on my face for the last 45 years. You are as beautiful now, as you were then. Keep on keepin' on.
And some people take the moment and use it to talk during much of the performance. So frustrating to hear the blabbing all through his singing! Dang! Are you kidding me…please! 😮
After hearing Gregg, I am in awe of how I have the privilege to remark on his amazing artistry sans permission of some musical God, I know not of. Thanks, Gregg, and may God bless you and your family. Forever and ever. Amen.
So glad Gregg is still alive and doing well, saw him at a book signing over a year ago and he was looking a little down, but looking good here. Hope we have him around for another forty years. May the road go on forever!!!!!
I love that man so much!!! He sounded really strong and did a great job singing. I just pray he finally found happiness before he passed away. Hopefully Shannon brought that to him.
what a great rendition, loved this latest band of Gregg's - they never got to realize their full potential, looking forward to his album coming out in September, i think it's called Southern Blood
Oh this really is a beautiful song! The entire band is good! But really he's sounding so good and seasoned! Is he really 66? Great share I'll say! Beautiful guitar too btw.
ain't that so. I'm a couple of years his junior and he doesn't sound much different then back then. Can't say the same for the rest of the band but all in all this was a nice video. tfs
Got on a bus in Memphis, Destination Rome. Georgia ain't no paradise but a place I just call home. I sat next to a broken hearted bride She was cryin', tryin' so hard to hide her selfish sorrow. I tried to get her talkin' She didn't have much to say She asked me for a map to death row But I didn't know the way She had lost a million in the game Wouldn't look out the window at the pine trees and the rain It wasn't her day... Multicolored lady you ain't like no rainbow I've ever seen Multicolored lady Angry red, passion blue, but mostly shades of green........... Midnight came and brought more rain, nothing seemed to ease her pain. The hours that we talked seemed like minutes all in vane. I watched as her tears keep rollin' by Bye and bye and bye, way back after a while She started smilin'. Multicolored lady You ain't like no rainbow I've ever known. Multicolored lady Come go with me, I'll take you to my home Oh, by the way, I'm bound for Rome. ...........:)O(:...........
Outstanding version..Scott Sherrard was the right choice as music director..Would like to see Scott perform again one of these days, speaking of which check out These Days also..🍄🍑🍄
I wonder if this song is true. I could just imagine Gregg being on a bus and trying cheer up a broken-hearted girl. From what I've seen, he seemed like such a calm caring guy. Never a mean word to say. It would've been great to see him during this solo tour.
greg, you are so awsome and still good looking. i had a friend in 1974 where i worked and wanted me to meet greg. l said he's not gonna want to meet me with all these chicks after him, anyway l said ok an told me where she lived . l road down rogers ave. off vineville ave. here in macon, i turned around twice an got chicken and went to a club. she got all over me when l told her what i did. anyway l lost my chance of meeting him. i pray for him because i have the same health problems with hep.c and cirrosis sorry spell wrong . l have'nt quit all my bad habits which i've already talked to a dr. at emory about a transplant, just scares the hell out of me. don't know how long i have, guess i'll make the best out of it. well gotta go kinda sleepy here. every one take care an love life.
This was 2013 so the band members at this time were Marc Quinones on drums and percussion, Steve Potts on drums and percussion, Scott Sharrard on guitar, Jay Collins horns, Jerry Jemmott on bass and Bruce Mattson on keys.

Loved this song so much when I was in college. Got me through some depressing periods. It's a beautifully written song with evocative imagery.
Agree. Loved him. Such a huge loss.
Hi, Elaine. I (we) would love to hear how you are doing.
Sue I love this song..! I’ve been playing different renditions and I love them all

This song tears my heart out. My cousin used to simg this. I gave him my cassette to learn it. Now he has gone home and I miss him so bad!
I’ve been playing the hell out of this song this past couple of months. No doubt my favorite song off the Laidback album.
Still one of the best emotion expressionists in song and music...
And some people take the moment and use it to talk during much of the performance. So frustrating to hear the blabbing all through his singing! Dang! Are you kidding me…please! 😮
