Cheap and Easy zombie head with toilet paper, pva glue and a styrofoam head. Kid-safe (adult help required with handling the box cutter, tough)
Therre aren't any SFX fancy materials in my country, so I have to improvise with what I can find :)

Ahhhh Thats why people are buying toiletpaper like crazy right now
Omg that makes so much sense
This guy doesn't know that it goes on your enemy's trees on Halloween.
@@DeadJack57 OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THOSE TYPES OF PRANKS THAT PEOPLE USED TO DO-
@kikiya Okay. Ill admit Im getting old.
That's one of the best home props ive ever seen. Very simple and inexpensive. Great job!
The drool stepped it up to a whole new level. Great work I ♥ it!
I completely copied this and it looks exactly like yours. Love it!! Now I’m going to make Billy Butcherson from hocus pocus using your techniques and hoping it turns out as well as the zombie I made. Thanks for making this video and showing me how do to this. I’m now addicted and have so many ideas!! You made it simple to follow.
Year and a half ago there was all kinds of 'Toilet Paper ZOMBIES' 😂😆
Wonderful tutorial. Thank you!
True Artist. Wish I was doing zombie theme this year
totally awesome. simple and effective.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. Gave me some great ideas.
Awesome creation! Thanks for sharing this. I'll never look at a styrofoam head the same way again. haha.
p.s. I had to keep rewinding the captioned parts because they disappeared so fast. I would gladly spend extra time watching a longer version that was a little slower paced. :)
Wow. Looks great
That looks awesome
So cool! Looks so good.
FANTASTIC!! You need to sell this stuff on eBay or something. Seriously.
omg that looks so good u r so talented
Really cool , thanks
If you wanted the drool to look wet you could brush on some resin and it would dry all shiny and wet looking.
Or clear fingernail polish from dollar tree
You're a true artist 😉👊
Absolutely cool
such a cool video! thank you for sharing!

Cool. Very scary ..but most zombies are gray and black color.

Really, I didn't know that and where does that belief or information come from. P.S. I am left handed
I luv dis idea 😍♥️
Fantastic!
That's not a zombie prop, that's a Robin Roberts prop! Chilling.
considering the labor and supplies involved id say they are worth what they sell for at the store.
Amazing!! I will give it a shot
Me to
Awesome!
How long did you really spend on the project and when should I start to make stuff so I can have it ready for that weekend
That's badass
It would be something, the monsters and zombies people make for holloween, on holloween night those monsters and zombies they made come to life and get them !!!! LOL ! 😄

Just incredible! Thank you for the upload!!! How long did it take you in total? Not including drying time.
Thanks! Around 24 hours for the whole process, it dried overnight :)
@@chainsaw_chio Who is the music from?

You mentioned below to use liquid latex to protect for outdoor display...never used latex, is there a brand you suggest?...I assume you paint it over the final head...putting hair on after latex drys?
Castin' Crafts latex if I remember correctly, or latex used for sfx make up (shinier, thinner and glossier). The brands in the US may be different from what I have here, but I think Forum Novelties Liquid Latex can work.
Just please be careful with application and seek a proper ventilated area as it contains ammonia.
@@chainsaw_chio Wonderful!...thank you...:)
what happens if it rains would the zombie melt away
As it is, yes.
Though I think that a thin layer of liquid latex could protect it
The only thing I am curious about is, how do you protect it from the elements? I am assuming that you put this in the yard. Did you clear coat the head prior to the hair attachment?
In my area it rarely rains so I don't worry much about it getting damaged, but I can think of a fixative spray (Matte), like Krylon
You did a great job!! I can wait to try this. Where did you buy this head at?
Thanks! You can find the head at beauty supply or crafts supply stores! They are commonly used to display wigs :)
Grate!
That’s bad ass
I tried this last year, it didn't work well. My scultpy clay kept falling off
I have never used tempera paints before so what is the difference between a watered down acrylic black or brown paint? What brand of tempera paint do you use?
Acrylics is waterproof and non washable, while Tempera is washable :). I use Vinci Arts brand tempera which just a rebrand of Prang Tempera cakes
Whats the source of the music playing?
👏👏👏
I am in the process of making several zombie heads for outdoor Halloween props, one will be on the order of your current video. I made the other heads with black, dark grey, and green paint. Would you have any suggestions for color washes that you might use on these various colors?
Light grey or mustard yellow on either of them
@@chainsaw_chio Thanks for the input, I will give them a try.
How cool💀
Whi does the song?
I am doing this method for a sevred head
You may want to slow down the time on your written instructions so people can actually read them..some were way too fast.
Gypsy B Or pause the video like it is intended to be..........
Damn....
What kind of clay are you using?
I know it as Evo-foam clay, but for the USA I think Crayola makes a similar one called Model Magic, or in Amazon, a generic brand called PolyClay Air Dry Clay
What was the name of the first reddish color that you painted on the head?
the ready-made mix can be "Caput Mortuum"
www.jacksonsart.com/en-au/old-holland-new-masters-acrylic-paint-250ml-caput-mortuum-violet-mars-au
Also can be Deep Red

@@chainsaw_chio Thanks the shading of the different colors ties everything together perfectly.
Who is the music composed by do you know the artist name the head is amazing
"Undercover Vampire Policeman"
Not thy inexpensive but very good
Great video but I wish you'd slow it down now and then so we can see more detail.
Having a go now but the clay won't stick to the head!
brush the clay with some glue, and use strips of tissue paper for support
That worked, thank you. Couldn't get the teeth and tongue to stay in place so the tongue is hot-glued in and the teeth I cut out of a plastic milk bottle. I'll finish this darn thing if it's the last thing I do!
True. But You Can Play It At A Slower Speed 😉
No idea how to do that.
This came out amazing, but I feel like with all the supplies one would need to buy (bcuz not everyone has these lying around the house) it would probably be cheaper to buy one at a Halloween store. Styrofoam heads are definitely not cheap bcuz I have tried to find some to use for my crocheted hats and the cheapest I've seen them is about $10. Plus the cost of paints, clay, toilet paper, glue and anything else needed well it might cost over $20 to make it so that's not cheap.
I found wig heads at Sally's for a few bucks but nothing like the one he used.
It may be a bit of an initial investment for the materials but it's not like you use them up making the one head. The paint, toilet paper and glue will last you through many projects. You're right about the styrofoam head though. They're not cheap here in the US. If you check the cost though of latex, molding wax and other special effects makeup materials these days it would easily cost you $20 just for one item. All things considered, this is a very economical method. Tip: Air dry clay can be found at Joann craft stores and there is always a coupon available on their website for like 40% or 50% off one item of your choice!
Tracy Puydak that's the only place I've seen them as well and yeah, they're not as cool as the one in the video
Where to get the Styrofoam head ????
At Beauty supplies or craft stores
cheap, like, minus the craft fee?
Its comming for you tonight !!!!
Brawhahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!😄
My name is Dario :)
And......
Hi. Is that air drying clay? The video is too fast for me to see
yes, this is EVO foam, which dries with air, the equivalent could be Model Magic from Crayola
Hello
Dollar store balloons. thin cardboard from Costco, dollar store glue. blow the balloons a little smaller than a normal human head cut out cardboard for skeleton eyes mouth nose ears and papier-mâché,

I guess the latest in instructional videos is to simply speed everything up and not do a detailed video with a decent voice-over! What is this world coming to?
I guess the latest trend in comments is complaining about a perfectly acceptable video? Maybe this person didn't have the ability to do a voiceover. The majority of the video is pretty self-explanatory anyway.
very lazy DIY.....
