- Delivery in Devizes (UK)....the road is not the best of the UK if you want to go to Andover to catch the A303.....LOL

I remember that the drivers from UK are all Gentlemen. The best drivers in europe... If I see that and hear what other drivers say that must be 100 years ago.

You did well to save your mirrors there Pat. Those tipper drivers are bloody idiots, no respect for other drivers whatsoever. Karma is a great thing though. They will get what's coming to them soon enough.

some roads are too narrows because of the trees to respect the speed limit....15 miles slower and it is ok....:))

Hi Patrick. Very interesting trip. Yes, I can imagine the trouble you truck drivers have pruning the trees on those narrow lanes with your mirrors and getting damage sometimes. Must be frustrating, and obviously speed by other traffic is another problem as well. Love the music as always. Travel safely my friend and take care. Nick

Yep, those lads (tippers) driving that road probably use it three or four maybe more times in the day get complacent with their driving and it shows when they meet a truck that's not used to that particular stretch. A little stressful to you Pat? Having to get out and reposition your mirrors, twice. Bonne route brother trucker.
haha....yes they where fast ,but you know that i have a bulker and i must be a little bit more carefull with the body of my tauck than a tipper or a flat trailer,the same like with a fridge or a new curtain trailer,if it is not the branches of the trees it can be the mirrors of the cowboys truckers who can make a big tag all along my trailer....
in plus the down mirror of the daf is very large it is the first thing that you touch
I have driving in Ireland too it was a little bit the same problem ,i remember the road from Mitchelltown to Mallow or in the north some roads near Carrick on Shannon......i am sure that you know what i mean...haha

Ha. I was down that way (Trowbridge) on Tuesday and had my mirror broken by a tipper :-((
From Devizes my usual route is up to Marlborough and Hungerford up to the M4. Easy Route!

yes we have try a lot of roads to go to Devizes and i think that this one is better via the M4
it is not a problem for me to drive on narrows lanes but it is the trees who are cutted too close from the road,you always touch the sleeves and the branches with the mirrors when you keep your left and the asfalt cowboys driving at 50 on narrows road are to fast for you to stop even if you drive at 60.....haha

Hi Pat, the trouble with tippers, they get paid a load bonus, so the more loads they do, the more they get paid, That is why they drive so fast.

Tipper drivers... A law unto themselves steer well clear. Been down the A360 myself not perfect but a lot easier than that route.
Tell me more Patrick, I often find find tipper drivers driving very fast on small roads, I was driving uphill on one of the small roads on the west of Ireland couple of years back, towards me was heading a truck with tipper trailer, I moved left as much a s I could so not to break my left mirror against electricity poles and slowed down to about 50 km/h but I could see he wasn't going to slow down or move, when we met our mirrors brushed against each other on the edge and shook but didn't break, next thing I saw was his trailer running along the bush kicking up stones and dust straight on to the road, I think next time he did slow down seeing another truck going against him ;)
Good clip, it was a little too narrow road you ended up on when you met the Renault.

ah, this is the salisbury plain where the british army does it's training. the L is for a learner driver. we had an L on our car :) most emigrants to USA were from his area. :)

Should not use your satnav all the time Patrick some times its best to use a map keep on trucking mate.
i dont George..i have always my uk roads atlas with me......but i you know Devizes you have 3 different roads coming from the A303 and i have try the 3 and the are not very good and one coming from the M4...it is longer for me but the road is better....i think that the next time i go by this way....haha...the trees are too close from the road by the south

Bonjour Patrick, je me permets de te regarder dans tes vidéos, qui me sont d un très grand réconfort surtout en ce moment. Je suis chauffeur routier international, mais je n n'ai pas fait autant de pays que toi, (Allemagne et Este aussi, Espagne, Portugal, hollande, Luxembourg Belgique 🤣)et donc respect pour ça. Mais peut-être qu'on s est déjà croisé notamment chez roquette à lestrem car je travaille chez Sbtt à hendaye 64. Bon en ce moment, je suis en arrêt (bras gauche cassé ) depuis le 2 février et s a commence à faire long. Mais je suis un peu jaloux de toi car tu as une plaque (tabernak) et comme je suis aussi les vidéos de seb et par mail échecs à chaque fois... je regarde aussi Laurent truck et grâce à vous trois, cela m aide à ne pas décrocher. Alors un grand merci. Message un peu long ! Bon courage à toi et continue avec tes vidéos. Je me régale. À bientôt 👍🇨🇵🐔😀

je voulais déja demander si tu as voulu renouveler ton camion... mais je pensait que cette petite blague pourrait me faire le prochain sur lequel tu récrimines comme a 8:00 :D mais je pense que c'est normal pour eux de rouler comme des fous... c'est souvent quand on connait la route depuis x ans... ils pensent le même de nous quand ils viennent ici... ;)

mais là ça ne ce voit pas sur la video mais les arbres sont coupé à la meme place que le bord de la route,avec une benne ou une baché ca va mais une citerne ou un frigo tu dois faire attention autrement tu fais un voyage et tu peux refaire la peinture,et les retro ,je ne te dis pas ,ça claque dans les feuilles incroyable

I don't know why but loaded with 11 drops round Paris is serious...........Took the bull by the horns and dumped the whole lot in Bosteels Fret Terminal Charles De Gaul airport.. Economic sense that took my boss time to appreciate. He now instructs all Paris deliveries into Bosteels so we can proceed quicker on other jobs.

oui c est tres etroit mais encore plus à cause des arbres,
la limitation de vitesse est de 50 mais 50miles soit 80kmh pour les voitures ,sur des routes ainsi elle est de 40 miles pour les poids lourds soit 64kmh

i must say about the left side driving in the UK and Ireland ...it is not a problem to remember...it comes automaticaly for me but yes we have some difficulties like when we have to overtake a very slow vehicles on normal roads and on the small road with trees along those roads on the left bends ,...but i must say also the uk drivers are not so crazy than in on the continent
