Made these years ago . Sold in Chattanooga , Tennessee area . Collaborated with my brother , he came up with an ideal way to remove the can .
Punch a thumb size hole in the bottom . With your thumb just push the can up and out of the coozy . I made them , carved cartoon characters , and painted the figures usually , brother sold them till he retired , then I sold them for about five years . Done some special order stuff that could get weird . 👍

I think these would be fun to do. I bought one years ago but the way it was made wasn't nearly as clean or something you'd want to replicate with tooling leather. I'll be trying this one out for sure

A baseball stitch works well. It brings the edges touching.

If you donthat you need to cut 1/4" off each side. That's not how this one was designed ;)

Is there any special coating or treatment to the leather to keep it from soaking in all the can moisture and potentially blotching?

You can spray it with a boot and gear product like Sno Proof. The best ones are silicone based.

AARON, HEY AARON, Hold up a minute, on your cobra 26 . How did you change sewing directions ,while holding your leather piece with both hands ???? Do you have 3 hands ???
Thanks for your time. Love your videos.

I ordered the template, but I was wondering, what weight leather do you use for this?

Aaron, at the 4:50 mark on your video, you make your Class 26 do the reverse locking stitches while both hands are clearly in the video. Is Janie or an assistant holding the reverse lever down, or maybe you have a third arm/hand tucked away somewhere. How'd you do that? At the end of the stitch line, you let go with one hand to hold the lever down for the reverse locking stitch. My Class 26 won't do that by itself.

Nope, I use my elbow to hold the lever down

@@makersleathersupply1220 Dang,,,,,,,so simple and smart. I would have figured some rube goldberg gadget that would have taken 3 days to build, cost a bunch of money, and sewed my left ear to the work piece.. Thanks mucho sir.

OMG! Been struggling that process since Day 1 of owning my Class 26. Such a simple and practical solution. Thanks for the tip! Amazing what some struggle with and seems so natural for others. That’s what great about collaboration.
