- Hello everyone! Magic Koozies. Or "Mathic" Koozies. No-Stitch tho - for sure! I use Fusion 360 and a parametric model, that allows me to do some really crazy things, like generating these no-stitch patterns! All the patterns are available on my Etsy shop, link below!
Special thanks to Xtool for sending me a new P2 cO2 Laser to test! They gave me no restrictions or approval requirements on the unit, so all opinions are my own. I do like the system, and the software. Look forward to working with it more in the future! If you are interested in this laser, here is a link for a discount!

For you Cricut people - here is a link to the video where I made an entire no-stitch leather purse on the Cricut Maker. Instructions are also in the Etsy file, but please watch this video if you are a Cricut user. Lots of tips and tricks!! • Cricut Made No-Stitch ...
If you are interested more in the designing process, please check out this list. In several videos I go in depth about my design, and later updating that design to a version 2: • No-Stitch
So what were my power settings?? Well - I will tell you, but also tell you that yours will likely be different. I engraved this leather at 600 speed, and 25 power. I cut at 30 to 36 speed, depending on how thick the leather was, and 75 to 80 power. But every type of leather is different. Even applying the finish beforehand makes it much more difficult to engrave or cut, so you will need to increase power and slow speed accordingly.

I purchased the file and uploaded the one for the correct thickness of my leather and when I cut it out it was barely big enough for a shot glass. What should the overall dimensions be for the standard can size?
What app do you use to design with and how much do they charge...thank you for sharing ,loved your video
I use fusion 360 and then run the exports through affinity designer. Affinity Designer is about (was?) $50 for a lifetime license
What do you think of the we creat diode laser? If you can offer an opinion
Check out my latest video :)
Absolutely love these. Already have the bundle in my cart. As a (hopeful) possibility...a beer bottle? I know many people who will only drink out of a bottle.
Well you have to buy cheap leather people don't want to pay
The official term is "Snarf". Seriously, look it up lol
Thank you for the video, you gave me some great ideas.
It would be great to have a video that different leather types and where to source them. I want to start with the purses and wallets. I need to know laser safe, which can be dyed, and other qualities we should look for.
That's a cool project.. Those would be cool too make bigger for planting pots to spice them up.. Keep it up brother....
I made a cuff I modified for a mason jar. It's not quite the right size, it's a bit tight, but the tabs are perfect!
What a great video! I love your no sew products and can’t wait to try this out. I was unsuccessful at trying to engrave stainless steel tumblers so my goal is to make leather sleeves for them instead! :)
What a great idea, I'll definitely try to make it. Tha ks for sharing 😊
Can we purchase the fusion files from you too?
I don’t. My fusion files work, but a lot of things aren’t fully parametric. So when I change a few things, I’m often forced to go back through the model and adjust patterns and things. Definitely not for public consumption :)
@@ThisIsHowIMadeIt understandable. If you’d ever want a second set of eyes to get things fully parametric, I’d be happy to help.
Nice! Pattern on path is the biggest offender. If I use parameters to drive the number of tabs, the model breaks if there are more objects…. Makes sense, but that’s one example.
I stumbled across your etsy listing for these. I'm quite intrigued but was wondering your thoughts on using leatherette. I enjoy the 2 tone options (black/silver, brown/silver, etc)
Leatherette should work fine! Let me know!!
Very nice, I just picked up your files on Etsy. Any advice on leather thickness for pint glasses to give an "old school" feel?
I think 4 to 5 oz is the sweet spot to feel like quality…. Tho I do like the 2 oz 1mm versions I made a lot
Another outstanding project. I just downloader the pack. It seems like I am buying everything you put out lately. Thank you for what you do!
Thank you!
I really enjoy your presentation style! So clear and concise, no waste.
I think this is the first time I have seen a laser used with the blades! I will have to try that for my larger pieces. Hate the flashback.
I don’t see this as a part of my product assortment, but will be an amazing gift for family and friends…definitely unique.
Thanks!
Very clever! I would be interested in getting one for standard beer bottles (budweiser/heineken for example), rather than cans. Can you oblige please?
What a great project!
I'm sorry if I said something wrong. I did buy your pattern for your Kookie holders. Thank you.
Just traveling :)
Thank you very much. I'm sorry for bothering you. I believe I got it figured out. I'm the guy that lives in NE.
Thanks
Something kind of different, at least for me. Nicely done!
Thanks!!
❤Omg I have two cricuts, I do a lot of things, but this is crazy, congratulations, I started making leather bags, but when I saw this, I went crazy 😂
It’s a lot of fun on the Cricut. I need to experiment with HTV and leather too
And if you like this, go back to the first Cricut made purse video of mine and check out the drawing on leather…
Just purchased the 5 pack (so I can use them for a 6 pack - LOL). Problem for me now is that my Snapmaker wants to resize the Pint Cuff when importing. If I import the Pint Cuff into LightBurn, it looks small. Is there a guide or scale so I know before I burn?
Measurements for every panel are in the document. I believe lightburn wants SVG files to be 96 DPI, and these are 72 to be compatible with other programs like Cricut design space. Just look at the pdf that is in the main directory of the zip file. All the exact dimensions are in there, and also down in the product description on Etsy.
@@ThisIsHowIMadeIt If I import the .pdf version into Lightburn, then I get the measurements in your documentation (absolute outside area needed). I will try those instead of the .svg files since I can not find a way to change the dpi during import into LB, or doing an export from Adobe Illustrator. Thank you again.
@@digitalman269 you don’t have to change the dpi, you just need to resize either the x or y size with the size locked according to the size in the doc….
Thank you so much ! great tutorial and demo … liked it so much i bought the soda pattern as a trial run … kind regards 🙏
These are sweet! I really like your sense of style and workmanship.
Thank you very much!
Are you listing them all individually rather than offering a group?
Yeah. I when I do a set like this, I list them individually for fairly cheap, and then offer all of them for about half off in a pack…
@@ThisIsHowIMadeIt I found the set listing after I asked you about it. Thanks
I should have watched this before I paid full price 😅
Oh no! Let me find you on Etsy!
Sent you the discount back…. Cheers! Hope you like it.
This is genius!!! Fantastic 😍😍
Very cool!
Thanks Robb!!
Great video! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
