Alexandra, is not the accompanist, she is a performer, and does an outstanding job in this piece. The camera should have zoomed in on her also. A tremendous performance by both musicians.
It's a credit to her that she has enough control to not completely over power him and still play with range, that's got to be very hard to get right since a guitar is so soft (even at its loudest) compared to a piano
Unlike a lot of versions I have heard, the balance between instruments (which is difficult indeed to find for a piano/guitar duo) was spot on. The arrangement deserves credit for using the natural volume difference to achieve the loud-soft motif by transferring melodies from piano to the quieter guitar. Very fast interpretation and never at the sacrifice of any clarity, which can be difficult at moments like 2:06 and 3:47. I'm not a pianist so I can't comment on the harder sections of her part but she was graceful and just as clean-sounding the entire time. Definitely one of, if not the, best interpretations online. Good job!
Einfach wunderschön! So gefühlvoll und mit einer vollendeten Leichtigkeit gespielt. Die Musik ist wie eine Wattewolke, auf der man beim Zuhören dahinschwebt.
4:00 that's my favorite part. The enstrumants are so balanced, you can't seperate the sounds of them. Only thing you hear is the beauty of the harmony. Beautiful! Also the 5:05 part is amazing as well.
I just wanted to stand up and applaud! Except I'm at home, working on the computer at 1:00 a.m. and it would wake every up. So this is my silent clapping X X X X X X X X X X X X
As soon as I heard the sound, I knew the piano had to be a Bosendorfer. I haven't seen Dmitry in over eight years. I hope he is well. This is a wonderful arrangement beautifully played. Thank you.
violinhunter2 You are right, the Bosendorfer sound is unmistakeble. The crystal clear high register goes very well with the sound of the guitar's strings.
Fantastic performance and wonderful duo. This was arranged by Bream, right? If I am correct Alexandra is not the accompanist but rather the equal member of the duo. Fabulous performance and thank you for sharing!
Ejecución impresionante. Sonido espectacular.

This is the best Boccheriini Fandango I've heard.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that only the harpsichord makes justice to this magnificient piece. But still it's a wonderfull performance.
