1 person I've noticed that's never mentioned on this channel. When it comes to g and b benders is Dan Fogelberg. I've noticed he has a Bender on his acoustic. Not sure which one it is but he used one in the early eighties

Zac, you won't remember this, but you showed me Brad Paisley's paisley G bender Tele backstage at the Little Nashville Opry in Nashville, IN in 2003. I had my pink paisley reissue signed by Brad that night. I wanted a g bender but knew I'd never get it into Glaser, so you told me to have Charlie McVay do it, which I did. I still have that guitar and play it everyday. I tell people that story often.

I remember that day and you. So glad you still have that paisley!

Another nice education piece! I installed Certano B & G palm benders on my partscaster, and while I’m not very proficient I love them both. Being able to slide the handles out of the way is a bonus.

About 12 years ago, I built a custom standup steel guitar for Kevin Maul using a Bigsby palm pedal. Mahogany body w/a thru-neck Limba neck & Padouk fretboard, Original Bill Lawrence blade pickup(purchased from Bill personally in '79 @ LSR, his shop outside of Nashville), phase switch, Varitone & no Vol. I ended up adding wood paddle extenders, for easier use
I'd post a pic, but can't figure out how.

Another awesome show, Zac! I have a Bowden Double Bender on my Epiphone Sheraton 2 that is palm actuated. I’ll have to start practicing my G-bender technique more with it. Thank you again for your knowledge! God bless you!!!

I played for years with a guitarist that had a B bender. We always called it a G Throwout since a lot of them attach to the belt and you push the neck out.

The Peters Instruments (Muncie, Indiana) dbl-bender I use is fun, and adjustable so that my hybrid picking is not affected. Had it installed 2 years ago and it's staying on. The G bends a whole step and the B a half step. My fingerpicking style has been hugely propelled forward.

Thanks Zak. Even when I don't ask, you have an answer. Loved this vid. Big fan of Jimmy's and i play a Hipshot and haven't thought about a G bender till today. I see a Glazer in my future...js😀

I started on a G bender because I had come up with some licks that I thought would sound better with that configuration. I did flip my Glaser over to the B string one time and was immediately lost, so I switched it right back to G :D. That said, I love Clarence White's playing so I want to get a Tele set up with a Glaser specifically for B bending at some point so I can get some of those sounds as well. Great video!

I have a Rollings bender that I've tried in both G and B positions. I wasnt crazy about the lever being behind the saddles. I could never decide if I wanted the G or the B because no matter how I had it set up I wanted the other. I also have a Fendr Nashville b bender that I got a new body and routated all the routing to make a G bender. Same thing.....I couldnt decide. I wanted to use the Rollings on the B bender to have both but it won't work.....the only real advantage of a G bender is bending for a G chord on the second fret....without a bender its a hard bend.

    DILEMA????
I got ahold of a tele body and neck. The headstock finish had been sanded down so theres no brand or logo or any kind of markings at all. Not sure if previous owner was going for a satin finish or what.
I bought all the electronics and hardware, put it together and it plays and sounds AMAZING!!!
Here's my dilema, since im not a butterscotch fan id like to sand and stain the body a dark color. Would it anger the telecaster Gods if i sanded off a butterscotch finish. (Not knowing the brand), i assume its a Squire, but man it would suck to find out this is some authentic / original high end guitar.
