- This video will show you how to install speed and cadence sensor on your bike, and also pair with Edge devices. We will be using Edge 520 Plus as the demonstration in this video to pair with sensors. Other Edge series devices have the same operating procedures with this video.

It doesn't need any magnet, does it?
Should the cadence sensor connect via Ant+ or BLE? I have an Edge 530 and mobile app.
My speed and cadence sensors are working well. When i swap bikes wo these sensors, how do i make my 530 work on GPS mode only wo these sensors attached? Currently i keeps beeping and distance isn’t showing. TIA.

I agree but how long are that areas? I doubt you would be lost.
Its also needed to have your speed reading while you train on the indoor trainer - GPS wouldnt show anything as you dont move hence you wouldnt see any speed
Furies'72 If you’re riding in a forest, it could be a good chunk of your ride that wouldn’t have speed recorded. Given the cost of the cadence and speed sensor package I would add them regardless.
