I get the part of making it very simple unlike we do in Nigeria where people go beyond and above their means but as God Almighty will have it, you are a Yoruba lady and for that singular reason, you should not have it your way if you really want to respect and honour your parent. The family (Yoruba culture) has a huge part to play in giving their daughter out or bringing in a wife for their son. Your part is so limited but modernity has change a lot of things so you can have it your way now but not without your parent and family members.
