Did you contact Ed Bolian from vinwiki? This sounds like a vinwiki story if I've ever heard one. He's supposedly a Lamborghini whisper. If he doesn't know no one else does.
I love the sit down talk. I think you should find the owner of the house (this can be done on public record), and see if you can find out if it belongs to them or a tenant. If it belongs to a tenant, they might give some indication of who they are or where they're from. Might help. Seems like it was illegally brought from Europe? That's my best guess.
If you import car parts into the USA and then assemble a car with the parts you can legally register it as a kit car. Although in the past there has been some cases where people where pulling the engines out of JDM cars and shipping the rolling chassis and engine in the same shipping container and that was deemed to not court as car parts and was not allowed to be imported. So it would seen that the completeness of the cart parts and weather they are all shipped together or not can determine If it is illegally or legally imported.

*I SOLVED THIS* This House is not owned by Mickey. This house is owned by Raymond Philips he is a Doctor in Los angeles. I did some digging around online. Deeds, Taxes and ownership. The owner bought this house in 2021 and the outside was then remodel (Driveway) You can look up online anysort of permits, taxes and deeds which = The owners name. I found tons of documents showing his name. This is also not his only home according to tax documents he owns several other homes in the area. People only knew everything can be found online.
This Aventador was posted to VinWiki when it was in Atlanta for cannonball in 2016. It had a damaged rear diffuser. Ed Bolian said it was serviced at prestige imports and had a carfax 6 years ago
Google Maps shows that Aventador parked out front of the house and it's green, so you were definitely correct about the previous wrap. Loved this video, can't wait for more!
In the picture from the European carfax it’s says under the lien registry that the car is from Poland, I’ve seen and heard of cars that have been crashed going there to be rebuilt, US and European spec cars of all values as I’ve seen a US spec Aventador 50th anniversario and 675LT for sale. Along with a few stolen supercars spotted being driven in that direction, in particular a 488 Pista that disappeared a few years ago. So potentially that might be something to look into…
Interesting.. There was a yellow Murcielago SV from India that was wrecked n lyin at a garage which was picked up by a Polish gentleman who has now built it in under 4-5 months n made it roadworthy. He supposedly has 3 SVs n a few other Murcis in his collection.
Sounds About Right. I Had a Two Toned Wrapped Mercedes S 550 and i got into an accident and long story short my AirTag shows it’s located in Poland Right now at some warehouse/Plant.
i think the detective segment is super cool. i’ve always loved watching your abandoned super car vids. i think you can find out a lot just from public records if you dedicate the time to digging for your new venture.
I've been following you for years as a subscriber. This new chapter in your UA-cam pursuits is exciting and I implore you to continue. I love all shiny automobiles American and European. Your reports on the ground keep me current on what people are buying, driving and appreciating. I believe you will graduate to a podcast, which will be a true success. Love you brother. Blessings.
I'd say the car was illegally brought from Europe, stolen in NY, painted the rims and brake calipers, then let it sit for a while in your area, and then sold it or gave it away to a friend who then cleaned up the car and decided to take better care of it. Interesting series Effspot! Looking forward to it!
I speculate it was a U.S spec car that was “stolen”. Owner probably had it insured for double the amount and committed insurance fraud. The current driver changed the lights/side markers and painted the exterior bits to make it seem EURO spec. The VIN is a fake from a mole in Poland.
Love the Detective Spot segment, along with everything else you do!! Would definitely love to see more of those and who knows, maybe you break a case wide open in the process!!
Loved Detective Gordon. Great to see you expanding your channel into an area that no other car UA-camr would even think of going to. Keep up the amazing content.
Great cars as usual Gordon! Interesting story about the abandoned cars too I like the Detective work and the sit down to go over your thoughts. Interesting to see how it turns out! Thanks for sharing effspot!
Yo what’s up Gordon! Loving this new type of close up talk about these stories no one else talks about in the automotive industry. #dectectivespot has my approval, can’t wait to see more of these!👊🏽😆
I'm going to love this series. That was very interesting. I always wondered what happened to the owners and why the cars sit there like that. Not just your everyday cars so its always strange to see that.
Put in a call to John Temerian STAT. Between the 2 of you the mystery will be solved in 24hrs. Then call Ed Bolian so he can shrewdly negotiate it's purchase! I'm a car guy but I'm not the biggest fan of watching others "car spot". I enjoy doing it myself when I'm out and about. That said, I never watch ALL of a car spotting video, ever. I was glued to yours and will be subscribing if you make these abandoned car sit downs a thing! Thoroughly enjoyed it! P.S. I tune in periodically to see if I can catch a video of your Benz making orgasmic type noises. Just happened to catch this and was glued to my phone until the end.
Man I half to say I always enjoy your videos no matter what you upload. And I really love this new detective addition to your channel it is vary interesting . And I can't wait to see more.
Is it possible that it's stolen then modified the vin and whatever and registered as a kit car to wash it clean? this is a common method for smuggled car in China back in the day, you buy said illegally smuggled car, then buy a crashed/salvaged title car then claim you rebuilt it and it become a legally registered vehicle.
@@mexicanspec that’s just a example, I mean could this be the case of stolen but register as kit car to make it legally registered? I dunno anything about registering a vehicle in US this is just a possibility I could think of.
@@AAAA-oy3ye But the VIN is a Lamborghini VIN. Any DMV will catch that when a police officer inspects the VIn for first time registration. I think Gordon should ask the Lambo dealer in Calbassas, the car is wearing its plate, to run the VIN to see what comes up. Maybe the car was serviced there. The owner had to get that plate somewhere.
In Europe you can do "VAT carousel", each year the EU loses more then 2.2 billion euro to it. Maybe it was involved in some kind of way since it is an european spec?
This!! This is legit! Awesome work guys and if they just moved the car a few weeks ago and its been sitting for at least a month with all that dirt that is very suspicious and its probably in a parking deck somewhere now. Whoever has it doesnt seem to care about the condition of the car only trying to hide it...
Hey effspot. Regarding the aventador, could you talk to someone in Lamborghini? Maybe they could look up the vin or plate number. Obviously a random sales person wont disclose client info. But maybe somehow get a contact in a store?
Pretty cool Gordon, some nefarious stuff going on with that Lambo. Someone's working hard to get those "legal". Hope you get those 191k more subscribers soon!
Cool video effspot! The new segment (great idea, creative and in lign with your 'radar view') warrants a new, possibly separate video series or upload day, idk a 'Saturday Detective Spot' video. If I may be so bold. It is that great, hence my suggestion. Also, your new segment could become an awesome base for further development of i.e., a 'Gordon On Cars' podcast series. And quite fitting regarding the new subject, you got yourself the new, fluffy PD mascot. Makes me think, Detective Spot could also be developed further, let's say into a business venture. I hope you have claimed appropiate extensions. Thank you, top notch ✌😎
I have 3 ideas. First is that this car was stolen by the owner to get money from insurance, second is that someone bought it from eu illegally and third idea is that mb this car was stolen actually and The vin code was interrupted ( This format is very good and I think that we all need more detective stories about abandoned cars)

The only time I've seen people abandoning such expensive cars in the US has been very wealthy Chinese kids going back to China
How’s Life With Ben Mallah!

Agreed, I've dove head first with the Mr Sheep Shopify. Shipping is the last thing anyone wants to deal with!
