- Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and finally Oregon. 2,367 miles for me to cross to reach my new home. An insane cross country move in a 1999 Toyota Avalon, and one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. Come along on this road trip with me, my brother, and my cat as we cross from the Detroit Metro area all the way to the Willamette Valley, and discover how beautiful the United States can be.

Take as much time as you need for the next video, we know masterpieces like this take a lot. Nice job taking such a massive step forward!
Haha idk about masterpieces but thank you, I'm hard at work on one right now and I can't wait to show it!
This was one of the best ways I could have spent the last hour. Now you have ME itching to go on a cross-country journey as well XD
And of course Microwave's thumbnails never cease to impress 😍
👉👈 ehe
Thanks my friend, after the camping trip we should plan a road trip 👀
Hey thanks for watching my video! I know a lot of you were hoping for more Manga content but this is something I really wanted to make. I promise I've got more Manga videos on the way! In the meantime, why don't you check out this video I made talking about video game music I like if you haven't already! ua-cam.com/video/j5SsMOIP5mw/v-deo.html
It's crazy seeing how similar your reactions were to my own when I had to do this. Realizing nobody outside of the trucking industry really interacts with most of the spaces you're driving through for huge stretches of the journey is a bizarre sensation.
Something that kind of tripped me out going west out of Iowa was you'd have these enormous industrial plants way off in the distance, seemingly not connected to the highways, that obviously had shit happening in them, but there didn't seem to be any kind of travel infrastructure to support something like that. It was just these near-dirt roads leading in and out. It wasn't clear in any way from looking at them what they did; there were no discernable logos, nothing intended to get your attention. It was pure industrial function in terms of design. All primary color metal pipes and harsh lighting.
I'd find out later these are supported largely by railway. A friend's dad worked in one and he spent an evening telling us about it, and how few people even know about them and how remote they really are. "Short of being at sea, you can't really be more physically isolated from the usual infrastructure."
I dunno something about driving through these spaces as a traveller is weirdly compelling. I've done it a few times in my life now and I've enjoyed it immensely every time, so it was cool to see your journey as well and know it's not just me who found a weird, really difficult to describe beauty in how empty so much of it is, and how it makes those little glimpses of some kind of civilization almost startling to come across when you're so remote from everything.
Thanks for sharing this man, this was cool to watch.
Yeah I remember seeing those to! You're right it's so strange to think people can even work out there when there's nowhere to even live for miles. Thanks for sharing your take I'm glad you liked the video
Congrats on the move and the tiny nightstand
👺
Maybe the real Oregon Trail was the friends we made along the way.
Congrats on your move, Mack! Really happy for you. Hope OR treats you well.
Also the nightstand is too small.
@@amylupo5291 I will ban you. Thanks lmao, I love Oregon so far. I hope you're doing well, thanks for giving this a look :)
Ngl when I heard you say “I’m from the Detroit metro area” I knew why you wanted to leave
Great video! Jealousssss imma come visit I have always wanted to go out that way 🥲 I’m happy for you! Have so much fun on your new journey!
Thank you! Haha it is really great out here, highly recommend
It was great to follow this journey, love to see your willing to make this giant change! Also amazing dance skills at the end there 😆
Its crazy that i see this video on the day i leave for a 3 week roadtrip. Going from PA to Washington State over 7 days, staying for a week, and driving all the way back. Its gonna be wild and ill be with my family the whole time
Hey man I just discovered your channel. Loving the content. You could make a video about anything and still make it interesting
Remember you said that when I drop a four hour essay on the history of paper clips lmao thanks
you guys seem super chill I could hang and play video games with you kinda people
Wow. This is such an amazing and deep video. It stood out to me and seemed cool, you’ve easily earned my subscription for sure 💯
DAMN AN HOUR???? AWESOME
You made my rep farming in WoW way more enjoyable for an hour. Thanx
Hey man! I'm glad to hear the move went so smooth! I know it's a year later that I'm only just now watching this, but I hope that the area has only been even better to you as you've explored it. I haven't traveled around nearly as much as I'd like to yet, but it's always been a tall order for any new place I visit to compare to my love of this area, even after living here for 20 years to potentially get bored of it.
Beside that, I'm glad you took the time and care to make a video on the trip itself! I wouldn't have thought it a concept I'd get invested in normally, but between yours and BrutalMoose's moving video, this very specific niche feels so cozy and ends up inspiring my own wanderlust. I'm not entirely in the right place to have a road trip like I've wanted yet, so thanks for scratching the itch in the meantime!
It's been about a year to the day and I absolutely love it here, I'd never move back lol. Thank you for your kind words, I've been watching Brutalmoose since way back in the day so that's a huge compliment to me
Road trips are so ... so...*chefs kiss*
idk if it's been mentioned yet but regarding your cow picture on 41:50, it looks like a good chunk of the paint just got chipped off. It can be repaired! go to an art store and see if you can find any leads on people who do restoration commissions.
This is my second time watching this video and as an average cat enjoyer we need more cat content 👍
Another quality video with not enough views,,, love the content.
I'm glad you were able to pass through Utah! Although the northern part is a bit different than the southern, Utah is so pretty and full of beautiful sights. Also Taco Time slaps, sad that you didn't like it. Arctic Circle "created" fry sauce, which isn't too known to the east, but im surprised you liked it because it usually isn't good hahah.
I drove from New York to Houston by my self for 4 days lol, the muscle cramps. I one day want to visit the north west
I absolutely love cat dads 💜
Currently on day 2 and yeah, you came to realise how big and uninhabited your country actually is as well. I'd had that realisation a few times when visiting. I'm finding myself watching this in chapters, and your take on this compares a lot to mine, even if I didn't move cross country like you have.
Edit: Haaaaa. We gave you soooooo much shit for that nightstand on stream 😂
Haha yeah man it's crazy how empty certain areas are. Really fascinating for a city boy like me
Wow! My cat is also named Luna.
Big man aproves the video
New upload? Let's fuckin gooooo! Also this looks very cute, can't wait to watch it
Haha hope you like it
feels like a 2010 vid but i loved it!
You left those regrets behind it seems 😁
Great video!! Get a bigger night stand tho
im watching this just to find out how this could possibly take and hour
Nice tatsuro yamashita bomber touch 👌
This guy gets it

Welcome to the PNW!

Oh you live really close to me dog
That nightstand is pretty small ngl
Does anyone know the name of the song that starts at the beginning of day 2???

❤️💖💖💖
What’s funny is the moment I finish giving the beserk vid a 3rd rewatch (after finishing the manga) this gets uploaded
I
Lmao thanks for watching this one and the berserk one three times you mad lad
@@CaptainMack also thanks for making the video so I could actually find out about beserk
@@origamiorc467 I'm really glad my video could serve to spark your interest! It's great to hear another person was able to get into that brilliant story
Why the numbers so low this better then most other youtubers.
Haha I'm just glad some people like it, I don't think the algorithm is really looking for this kind of thing ultimately
Where is 51:32-51:42? Like the highway itself is ideal but just the state or area is fine thx
I don't suppose you'll look into "The Death Mage Doesn't want to live the Fourth Time"?
I'll happily add it to my growing list of things to look into but I can't make any promises beyond that
bro whats the name of the song in the intro
It's called "BOMBER" by Tatsuro Yamashita. Total banger
idk man you gotta game the system or something, ur videos are too high quality for this little attention, i could snap my fingers and get you a million subs I'd do it.
You're probably right, I've never been very good at marketing myself haha. But thank you I'm glad you think so
What kind of bike is that
Idk I borrowed it from Joe
You look like if Firefox had a miscarriage
Cool
