Germany really has to get weird with their entries again. After the Satellite win they've been playing it too safe (with some exceptions of course)
a little surprised Austria 2014 isn't on here, Conchita was a little out of the box and I absolutely loved it! Although I personally wouldn't really consider her "weird," i know others would because she was in drag just like Verka
Well, basically it was a wonderful ESC hymn by a gorgeous diva in a sensational dress. Not weird, just the unusual detail that the diva had a beard.
I like to imagine that Switzerland 2007 was an official statement, but nobody took it seriously because it's Eurovision.
conclusion: Eurovision 2007 was the weirdest edition of all time
Cant see any Weirdness, Just *Legends* !
2006 is the only year that i vote for Eurovision and i vote for Lordi!
I would say that these performances are not only bright but most of them represent really cool songs! Thanks for the interesting video)
These songs also weird and unique:
Party For Everybody 🇷🇺
Irelande Douze Points 🇮🇪
Euro Neuro 🇲🇪
Igranka 🇲🇪
Iceland 2006 Congaratulations
we are the winners and leto svet were so fun!!! also euroneuro from rambo amadeus, montenegro's entry for eurovision 2012 could absolutely fit on here as well
Looking to all the other performances, that Finland guy last year seems ok and normal to me right now 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (I'm from Brazil and Eurovision 2023 was the first I followed hehe)
2:48 HIS DANCING LMFAOOOO
I would suggest that TOY and YODEL IT should have also been contenders as well. And as someone else mentioned, CONGRATULATIONS by Sylvia Night. :)
Thank you so much for this! This is pretty much the list of songs I've been wanting to find for so long, most of these are my favourite songs :)
I freakin' LOVE "Push the Button" and the guy on the two-neck guitar is hot.
Okay Hi :D
My opinions of this songs in categories:
Masterpieces: Germany 1979, Finland 2006, Ukraine 2007, Moldova 2011, Iceland 2019 (my alltime 2nd)
Awesome: Iceland 1997, Germany 1998, Austria 2003, Israel 2007, France 2007, Latvia 2008, France 2014
Love them: Lithuania 2006, Bosnia-H. 2008, Russia 2020
(Very-) Good: Luxemburg 1980, Switzerland 2007, Israel 2012, Romania 2013, Montenegro 2017
Acceptable but not good: Estonia 2008, Australia 2019 (just not my taste)
Terrible/ In the flop 10 worst songs ever: UK 2007, Austria 2012 (for me the worst entry in eurovision history)
@Jere_dieKralle Nice ranking! I agree with you in most cases apart from Australia 2019, but we all have different tastes, it's absolutely fine :)
Where is the chiki chiki🥺
2020 could have been so awesome, but corona just said no ;_;
What about El chiki chiki from Spain????
Viva Eurovision. Thankfully, I'd blocked most of this out, but that last Russian one was epic, plus the legendary Ukraine one with the silver star on their head and Lordi. Just amazing. As a Brit, I still don't think I can forgive Scooch (don't be a hater), but I would never have found Dadi Freyr without this amazing annual festival of joy and togetherness that is Eurovision. I love you
The weird world at ESC started with Guildo Horn 1998
fun fact, vampires are alive were the bookies favorites a month before the contest in 2007
I clicked on this video thinking "If Guildo is not in here I will be mad". But I was not disappointed!
I want to desperately forget the UK's 2007 entry I'm not even sure we try
Thank you man, you really made me laugh here. Good night
I thought Toy would also be on this list too 😂
@Charlo Toy is quirky, but it's not really weird to me, the message is pretty clear and because of that everything kinda makes sense :)
@@insertname6057 Ah I see! Fair enough :)
@@insertname6057 what about alcohol is free
Who let uk in with that flight song
lmfao ikr
The UK public, iirc. We had a selection TV show with a public vote. There's a pretty iconic TV moment where Terry Wogan and his female co-host each announced a different winner at the same time.
I had totally forgotten about DJ Bobo being in ESC....but where is Dustin the Turkey? No list complete with him/it....:D
3:05 was such a surprise from the bald guy lol he hears the violin solo, then just has a mental breakdown lol then the close-up on the violinist's face with that expression "yeah, pretty nice right? look what I made him do" just totally bizarre, funny though
Zero Gravity is legit brilliant!
I think we have a new iconic entry: Cha Cha Cha by Käärijä (2023)
Lithuania 2006 is one of my favourite entries ❤
First Lordi and now Let3 have really upped the game in this competition. Personally I think they should ban all non crazy entrants
