yes. and i think the power supply cant handle 140w. panda had the same.

Hi Rabid, there are 2 variables which determine if you get the full high mode; 1. 140W PD 3.1 charger required, the single port must support 140W PD 3.1. 2. USB cable must support 140W and PD 3.1. So your problem is either your power supply, or the USB cable. I learnt this through testing my own Nano 3. You could have the correct power supply, but if the USB cable cannot support 140W PD 3.1, it will never hash on high mode. Hope this helps. Love these devices, I have 2 more on order😂

You need the original PSU to enable the High mode, or at least a PSU that's not only 140W but also be able to provide the required voltage (28V or something). Most 140W USB PSU's don't go to that high of a voltage.

With the fan selection. I select High then click on save then reboot system and it works for me

That is 105% NOT a 140w compatible power supply. That's one of those '140w Mac power bricks, which are not 140w and don't support the proper usb standard to run this miner
I have mine running at 4.14TH. Going for BCH with a higher chance to hit a block within a year. But not being able to do high is due to your power source. Needs to be 140W or higher and some cheaper 140W aren't really 140W.
Ordered a new cable could be the issue the PSU is 28v rated for laptops when I looked it up

Hi, I have the same PSU. You must change cable to 240w usb cable and then it will work high mode.
I tried but a new cable failed also. Canaan told me new firmware is coming though for this.
@@RabidMining Yeah my nano worked with the new cable for 4 days on high mode without a problem. But when I turned it off and back on today, I got an unsupported adapter error. Strange that it even worked for me in the beginning.
I'm running out of miner channels to watch. The miner channels have turned into asic sales channels.
Sadly the only profit for the past 3 years has only been ASICs or CPUs. Most people refer to mining as gpumining but they are deader then dead.

Also I got in touch with mineshop and they said that the Avalon Nano 3S can only mine BTC, In this video you said there are vast number of profitable coins that the Avalon Nano 3 can mine. If you can tell us what the difference is betwwn the Avalon Nano 3S and Avalon Nano 3 since the Avalon Nano 3S has 6 TH/s. Hope to see a video soon about this from your side.

Hey Rabid, How is the heat coming from the nano, i know they advertise it as a heater miner. But does it put out as much heat as any other miner such as ; the box miners.

You can join a pool for a share or solo mine
Depends how you mine solo blocks only or pool mining get daily small rewards.
If you do solo mine, does the miner tell you if it hit a block?

I’m having trouble connecting it to my phone and I’m having trouble connecting it to my computer when my Wi-Fi recognizes the Avalon and when I connected it dropped my Wi-Fi off my computer
Ensure that both the PC and Nano are on the same Wi-Fi network. If issues persist, consult our technical support.

It's normal that you are only with MEDIUM mode since the power supply does not develop 140W, I have the same as you, and on the site it is marked that it does not work in HIGH mode.
Quick question, can you get it to work under NICEHASH?
I have 3 of the mineshop 'macbook style' PSUs and ALL of them keep resetting unless I am on LOW mode. Not good enough really.

That's really bad on Mineshop, they should be providing the correct power supply for full hashrate. This why I ordered mine from the manufacturer themselves, instead of a reseller. I'm sure they will sort this out tho, don't wonna have a go at Rabids sponsor

Miner WiFi is not stable. Multiple times came back from work WiFi disconnected but still using the full power. Avalon need really to update there firmware...

I've got one of these coming in the next few days. However, I have a Bitaxe Max, a Lucky Miner LV06 and a Lucky Miner LV07. The BitAxe Max uses the BM1397 ASIC chip and both the LV06 and LV07 use the BM1366 ASIC chip. The LV07 has 2 x BM1366 ASIC chip that's why it's hashing double the rate of the LV06.
Does anybody know what ASIC chip the Avalon Nano 3 uses? I'm assuming it has 8 x BM1366 ASIC chips...
