Almost 2k for 10Ths and a node? I have a miniPC for $250 and built a node. These manufacturers are crazy with pricing. Crazy people are buying it too. Buy 3 Nanos for $400 which would generate 12 Ths and use a mini pc for your own node. You will save 1000 bucks.
Not sponsored nor trying to stick up for them. You are paying for the cool factor, automatic updates for the node/software, in house solo pool functionality, basically a all in 1 unit already made for you to do all that instantly without work. I only see people who have lots of money buy this. There's a non gold/window one for $1000 and not $2000 which I forgot to mention but again not a video to shill.
@@RedPandaMining I just shared my perspective. Its not that you are shilling or something implied. It literally takes an hour or less to set up your own node. Especially using Umbrel. Good luck!
I bought their Apollo 1, release 4 - node and two slaves. It has been rock solid at 6th. No, they aren't efficient and you could get a bigger ASIC for less, but they are low-power and cool to look at in the living room. Great conversation starters!! Anyway, their new Apollo 2 software works on them and will also allow mining to your own node. Like you, I also bought them using crypto. Fast shipping. Support is awesome. It is really hard to find any negatives...
I dream about the day I can own a Futurebit, it's probably my favorite home project miner. One day. Oh and you gave me a hundred in btc a while back(I won a giveaway) that I've kept locked away to go towards it.

😂 thank God they sent it to you for free I rather continue with my Avalon's 50% less power consumption and 2x the hashrate. 4 units 1 bch block solo already paid off 😅

You know you're in a bull run when all of the UA-camrs start promoting all of the Bitcoin solo miners (making a video and positing a link is promoting). At least this one has some thought behind it unlike all of the Bitcoin Merch junk getting turned out. Ironically, these also happened to of hit a block as they go on sale. I'm guessing a lot of traffic was steered towards/thru one to do so.
Good for anyone that can't setup a node on a computer and buy a lotto miner. The glass on top looks like a great place for your beer, or is that just me.
@@RedPandaMining , I had already tried that. Last night I reformatted the NVME card and then re-booted. I just woke up and the node is running and syncing!! I am up and running!!😄
I like the concept but it is too expensive for what it really is, the same thing happens with the bitaxe, it is an excellent concept but somewhat expensive for what it is and I have one
You guys like it?
🤤
This is the worst thing u ever bought 😂😂omg
Pretty but expensive as hell.
Do I like it? YES. Will I buy it? NO.
You can make your own for under $200 :)

Exactly! 👌 You can run your own full node on Raspberry PI with external HDD for much less money.

"Panda Pool" incoming?? 🤨
Right...we need to solo mine to panda 🐼 pool

Thank you RPM! Yes please, make a video on using your own node for solo mining! :)
Looks slick. The FutureBit Apollo was my very first asic. Still chugging away. Great memories
it was absolutely gorgeous mining device.
Got one fire up and Runing (full Node).

I like that they include the stratum.
looks nice but no way is that worth 2K.

Yes it is pricey but the extra 990 dollars was for the founders edition if I'm not mistaken. Plus it looks cool.
Wayyyyyy too expensive
Very cool. I have the LTC Full Node and have enjoyed it for years especially now that Dogecoin is now merge mined with Litecoin.
Looks like the placement of the NVME drive is for ease of switching out for a larger HD when needed without opening up the unit.
It takes 2000 days (5.5yrs) to make your money back if anyone is wondering
This looks really interesting. I look forward to seeing your follow up video
Looking forward to the setup video of the node
coming soon
$2000? Avalon Nano S for $250 with power supply at 4th/s, although not a node, it's cheaper and you can solo mine.

Sooo...if u can solo mine to your own stratum, could we solo mine to your stratum and u get the .5% or 1% if we hit a block?
Lmao Altered Ill give you IP u can solo mine to it
4:15 im down for that video so much cool stuff to do!
coming up soon! they just released a fix I had an issue with.
Should have mentioned in my initial post...I'm running all 3 units on balanced power and seeing 26 TH/S.

That is SOOO cool! I need to get me one of those for sure!
Nice idea, don't see many of this kind of kit, they could have dominated if they sorted the pricing
Do you know if you can schedule mining to stop and start at certain times?
Bought one a couple years back it's a fun toy to show yoir friends but nothing more.
Finallly got mine Bitcoin node synced took 5 days
It's a mini PC. wow (sarcasm). you could just make a ckpool on some old device in your house
Totally a rip off bro no way this thing is worth that amount of money

Futurebit makes great hardware
have they stopped bitcoin nodes crashing? so many are stalled withholding blocks or crashing - even bitcon mining is rigged
I have a founders ed + 2 standard node apollo ll and really enjoy them.
The first Bitcoin transaction was for two pizzas in 2010.
How much money does these make on each setting?
This thing is generating about 25$usd per day. Thats aprx a 90 day ROI not including electricity. I would pay it.
Love it i have an Apollo 1
bitaxe 300 ghs, will it hit block?
why wouldnt the feet be taller to give clearance to the nvme? biiiizarrre
Looks like a raspberry pi in that thing. 🥧 USA USA USA!🦅
Need a RPM budget edition lol.
Also you called it an iPollo
what is the noise db while the apollo 2 is working?
These are so pricy, I want one but man I def can't afford it.
5.86/TH/s for 225 Watts is not cheap
Thanks with this explanation. How long will it take to recover back your money?
About 90 days at 5.8 TH as he stated. Am I bugging or is that a preety sweet deal?!

im surprised there isnt a market for people selling hard drives with nodes on them, or mini-servers or the such
