I'm 60 an grew up listening to this tune a million times. It sounds spot on to me! Not worse, nor better, but equal to the Knickerbockers version. Nice work!
I'm impressed! That was a very impressive cover of a great song originally recorded by the fabulous Knickerbockers.
OMFG!!!it Awesomely Fab!
New Joisey's best! Hope all is well, gentlemen. Randy says "Hi!!" And says it right now! Peace, love, joy and happiness, and all that other good stuff! From a mutual friend. :-)
A classic nugget!!
Rockin' take on The Knickerbockers classic + solid rhythm section!
You can only get this sound from rickenbacher guitars and vintage amps very cool
Pompous Windbag APPROVED!!
I thought for a minute this might be my old friend, Johnny Pompadour's post. He had such good taste in music also. (Johnny, I still have your promo comb, by the way...
Pretty damn cool. Great cover.
Cool cover, cool video.... I especially liked the alternating between black and white
and color, and making it look sufficiently "vintage". Well done!!
This is THE best cover of this i ever heard !!!!
Cool version of a great song.
Great Job. Love that Rickenbacker!
Well done Weeds. I really like this song and you have done a great job of all aspects of it. Very enjoyable.

I came here from Underground Garage..
Wow .. these cats can really sing and play! Killer guitars too..
If you're ever in New Jersey, they play a lot of local shows. (Well, they did before the f'ing pandemic.) In any case, great live!
Love the fact you put original clips from the original in
Superfine version...found this on the sidebar on a Knickerbockers' clip...definitely worth checking out...thanks guys (and gal)

I was wondering why nobody in the west to do the cover of this great nugget since the 60s.
Excellent cover of the Knickerbockers classic...hey do the gripweeds have a new album coming out??
these guys sound like the band chesterfield kings from Rochester NY.
Nice cover!
Special thanks to the talented and beautiful Caroline Leveille for all her production assistance help at the shoot in Asbury Park, NJ...
Rickenbackers mmmmmm!
Never heard of the grip weeds but I have heard of the Knickerbockers
someday
Where is the saxophone ?😀🎵🎷
Even better than the original. Well done!
I wouldnt go that far , but this is the best cover i've heard
Belial Pelegrim OH GOD NO......
Strong work! Did the original Knickerbockers actually play Rickenbackers?
Wow !!....that's a friggin convincing cover.....Although the vocals are too clear ......some more dust required.....✨
Now maybe The Outsiders' "Time Won't Let Me"........?
Knickerbockeresque
THIS WAS A BIG HIT FOR THE BEATLES IN 64.
The Knickerbockers, not the Beatles. I think you know that.
@@williamjordan5554 New Jersey guys with british accents? If you listen closely you can tell it's John.
@@JaneDoe-pr8do fake accents. Do some research.
@@williamjordan5554 Listen to Beatles all the time. Besides, why would the Knickerbockers try to sound like them? Sorry, I don't buy it. So we'll agree to disagree. Ciao!
@@JaneDoe-pr8do Beatle fan for 48 years. I have every album. I have books and books about them. The Knickerbockers faked their accents to make money no doubt. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is Google the song Lies or The Knickerbockers band. Easy Peazy.
12/30 '18 Request: Can you cover "Live" by The Merry Go Round, circa 1967/68(?) Thx.
Kristin Pinell has a front tooth just like Grace Slick.
Wait a minute, they didn’t have old people in the 60s!
NO NO NO! This is like having my old truck on the market. I don't want to buy a soup up version, I just want the old truck that I had when I had it. THE ORIGINAL. Now that's a good name for a band.
A key piece of harmony is noticeably absent from this version. The KNICKERBOCKERS are still tops when it comes to this song.
I don't like this because of all the slackjaws.
Sucks needs the saxophone
