That's the whole point. Who needs perfect in cinematography? What the showrunners did reflect real life extremely well. Elena changed, so as her needs and desires. This happens way too often, so it was a pretty accurate representation imho. Their relationships were too good to be "true" anyways, considering how toxic Elena actually is. Stefan was no much for her in that regard unline Damon, who was straight up an abusive sociopath and a narsissist. So as Elena, if we stop for a second and analyze her behaviour.

@randomgal13 we had stelena for two seasons being almost perfect so thats why maybe some ppl think they were boring, but theyre not! u just assume damon and elena wont be boring once they'll be all kissing and having their romance, but u dont know, u just say that cuz they are not together and as it seems to be impossible or forbidden , it wont be impossible anymore once they get together..then i can assure ppl will start wanting stelena back.. i mean there're ppl who already does but u'll see
