Lyrics:
Sometimes we fall down and can't get back up
We're hiding behind skin that's too tough
How come we don't say I love you enough
'Til it's too late, it's not too late
Our hearts are hungry for a food that won't come
And we could make a feast from these crumbs
And we're all staring down the barrel of a gun
So if your life flashed before you, what would you wish you would've done
Yeah gotta start
Looking at the hands of the time we've been given here
This is all we got then we gotta start thinkin' it
Every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying oh
We only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
Gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we're dying oh
It's depressing how fast time flies
Jinxohh I mean there are only 86400 seconds in a day
Jinxohh it truly is. our truest success is to fly with it
Im feeling you the same way too 😥
Gotta live like we're dying. Oh...
Jinxohh your profile made me depressed lol
This is a The Script original, and yet Kris Allen owned it by the time
Reaaly??? I never knew!
@ChaeButler I didn't either!
It appeared as a Bonus Track from The Script’s self-titled album in 2008
it was written by Danny O'Donoghue together with the band, it was a bonus track on "The Script" Album. It is better known for being performed by American recording artist Kris Allen
(RIP Mark Sheehan)
That’s so crazy, I always thought this song felt like a song by The Script!
This song got me through some of the most challenging times in my life. I can't listen without crying tears of joy. I was actually dying but I made it.

What a great song. It feels like I traveled 12 years back in time. I also realized that since this was written and produced by both Danny and Mark from The Script, the song really gives off true 'The Script' branding with its classic inspirational message.
i know right
wow i never realized this but yes it has a very script-like sound to it which makes a lot of sense now
Omg I knew it!
I didn’t know that the script is my favorite band ever so I love this
When i was 11 , woke up in the morning , turned the tv on and i always hoped that this song would be played on MTV .

This song is so true to the fact that, its telling us to use our time wisely everyday. Tell your loved one you love them before it's too late.

Yes, i thought it was The Script, i search with "The Script - Like We Dying" and this is appear.
Man time has went by so fast! Feels like yesterday being a kid.
Right! I just turned 30 and remember playing this in high school...like it was yesterday 😬
I just heard this song after not knowing what it was for OVER TWELVE YEARS. Due to a 90’s/2000’s station on the radio I was able to unlock a lost childhood memory.
This song was ahead of its time people would really make this a 100m views video in today’s generation

Met him. He's so nice :)
What's he do now that he's fallen off the face of the Earth?
I finally found it!! like this song!!
same here, ive searching this song for years
Finally found it? The lyrics are clear and concise - is it really that hard to look up?
Dang! It’s already 2023! It’s not too late yet. Let’s make the best of it. We fall, we get back up! 🔥
I miss you *kris Allen*
Oh, yeah, yeah
Sometimes we fall down, can't get back up
We're hiding behind skin that's too tough
How come we don't say "I love you" enough?
'Til it's too late, it's not too late
Our hearts are hungry for a food that won't come
And we could make a feast from these crumbs
And we're all staring down the barrel of a gun
So if your life flashed before you
What would you wish you would've done?
Yeah, we gotta start
Lookin' at the hands of the time we've been given
If this is all we got, then we gotta start thinkin'
If every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got 86, 400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we're dying, oh
And if your plane fell out of the skies
Who would you call with your last goodbye?
Should be so careful who we left out of our lives
'Cause when we long for absolution
There'll be no one on the line
Yeah, we gotta start
Lookin' at the hands of the time we've been given
If this is all we got, then we gotta start thinkin'
If every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got 86, 400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we're dying, oh
Like we're dying, oh, like we're dying
Like we're dying, oh, like we're dying
We only got 86, 400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or to throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em while we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we're dying
You never know a good thing 'til it's gone
You never see a crash 'til it's head on
Why do we think we're right when we're dead wrong?
You never know a good thing 'til it's gone
Gotta live like we're dying
you can't get rid of some songs, they haunt you whenever you feel down.
I hated my childhood but the music made it tolerable. Havent talked to them folks in 10 years now, and i regret nothing!
Can't stop playing this song when it was released. It's 2020 ya'll! Yet it's one of my fave song ever since. Rock on Kris! how I wish the new gen knew how beautiful your voice and songs are
I was in fourth grade (?) when I first heard this. And now I realize this is very thought-provoking. 💖
my dad used to play this song for me all the time. im sorry we don’t talk anymore papa, but i love you. one day i hope i can tell you about these last few years and you’ll accept me again🥺
A gem of a song, 86 400 seconds, will never forget!
14 years ago, I was only 10 years old jamming out to this song when it was first released. Now, at 24, the lyrics really hit home and make a lot more sense.
First heard this song through a friend who shared it on facebook. Love these songs ever since. Especially this one. Amd especially after pushing away my loved ones from bad person of influence. Now this song hits harder and better.
Blast from the past! I was in my senior year of high school when it came on and I still love this song today! Definitely lyrics to think about what’s ahead of you until your time’s up!
I was in 8th grade
I was in the 9th grade at the time this song was release, it sure did helped though. In contrast, I never liked my high school year considering all of the BS, I've been through at that time.
@Jo absolutely 💯
The Script is ALL OVER this song. Such prophetic words. R.I.P. Mark Sheeran.❤
Why... because we're taking for granted an advantage of.
You don't use someone whose already helping you,or cares about you, that person already loves you,for who you already are.❤
This song dropped when I was 17, I'm about to turn 31 next week. Wow, how time flies ❤
This song was originally sung by The Script, but Kris Allen made this song popular. : ) In my opinion, Allen's vocals are much more smoother

It's been 11years since the first launch of this song, I still remember how I used to listen this on VH1 and On Radio 📻. And I have lost so many people who used to love me especially my Mom ❤. I love you Mom... 😘
This song gave me my first existential crisis by teaching me that that there are only 86,400 seconds in a day. I really started paying attention to the passage of time then.
I wish they played this song more on the Christian radio...
+Carlin Campbell Me too!!! And this is a song everybody should hear & take to heart. I learned this lesson the hard way when my mom died. Prior to her death, there were times when i said unkind & hurtful things to hear though she was so sweet to me,and it haunts me. I'd give anything to be able to go back in time & changed so many things, especially how i treated her. I wish i'd spent more time w/ her(but i know i will see her again in Heaven). But I can't go back in time. All we have is today. We can't change what happened yesterday,& tomorrow may not be here for us. That's why we cant take the short time that's allotted to us here on earth for granted, why we should make the most of every moment, live our lives as though today is our last day on earth, treat our loved ones as though that would be the last time we see them. And above all, make sure we have Jesus in our hearts before we die.
+amberreaganlowe6
Thanks, I appreciate your story. And I'm sorry about your mother! We just gotta keep on believing, keep pressing on, and we'll make it home. :)
aw,thank you. Yes you are right,we need to keep on believing & pressing on. Though I am a Christian,I worry that i might not go 2 heaven when i die. There are ppl i havent forgiven,& it seems impossible to do so; they've hurt me so bad. I have a lot of other things I'm really struggling w/ & have been for years,I cant seem to break free. Plz pray 4 me,this has been the most horrible year i've ever had by far. And God seems so far away;i feel alone. I crave Jesus' presence so,so much. I just feel so alone,so lonely all the time. I know Jesus is my only hope. Also,if you happen to know any scriptures that might help me;encourage me,and/or songs that might help me too,I'd really appreciate that. Is there anything you need prayer for? Please let me know,I'd be glad to pray 4 you. It's really good to have someone to talk to,especially a Christian,so i really appreciate that you care about what i say SO much. Thank you for reading this,I'd love to hear back from you:)
amberreaganlowe6
I know exactly what you're feeling bc I've gone through the same thing you're going through. There have been times in my life when I was afraid that I might go to hell. Let me share with you a verse that really helped me to overcome this fear. In Titus 3:4-7, the Bible tells us that we have been washed by the blood of Jesus on the cross and "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
So u see? Jesus has paid it all! He's taken all my sin and washed me clean! All I have to do is accept this fact, and put my faith in it. God is so good and through the cross I can know that I'm going to heaven when I die!
So when u start getting scared that ur not going to heaven, just remember what Jesus did for you, and, boy, that devil will run away with those doubts. ;)
I will pray for you, though, cause I know it's not easy overcoming these struggles. But just remember that God is faithful and He holds you in the ups and downs. I'm so happy I could share this with you, and that I'm not the only one who's struggling with these kind of things!
+amberreaganlowe6 Does christianity forbid you from hating others that hurt you? I wouldnt know because i'm a muslim, but we should all ask for forgiveness from God every day, regardless of religion :)
I was at work and this came on , I got so emotional because I needed this song at that moment 💛
