Bad writing, Julie was planning on putting her back with Stefan, but season 6 was Nina's last. They really couldn't bring Delena down off the Shippiest Ship Pedestal because of the natural awesomeness. Ian did an amazing job at bringing Damon to life, and anyone with a brain cell knows the show would have tanked without him. Anyway, yeah, they were trying to create toxicity out of thin air, and it was flat out terrible. Love is love, and that's all there ever will be to it.

I was just posting about the soundtrack because they seem to have a thing with doors. In 3x7, Damon is swinging a shovel to open himself a doorway to the Lockwood tunnel, and Elena is closing the chamber door on Stefan. In 3x22, Elena can't open her passenger door when she drowns.. In 4x1, Damon tells Stefan there's no door number three. Then Elena can't open her cell door at the Young Farm, so she has to feed. It's like every time she's around Stefan, there's a door she can't open.

The way they stare at each other makes me feel like there is some deep-rooted emotional connection between them not just lust😍😍😍. I love the moment when damon says for wanting what I want and the music goes ooo ohh ohhh and elena reminds him not to go there with her little head shake. Damon cheekily agrees with her saying "believe me brother's girl and all". He starts to walk away and then he turns back advancing towards her saying if I feel guilty about something then I will feel guilty about this and finally kisses her. The whole push-pull thing , the foreplay and the amazing build-up to their first official kiss easily make it the best first kiss of any couple. And you can just see how much he wanted to hate Stefan for protecting Klaus but then couldn't when found out the truth. Which explains his guilt for loving Elena. He wanted to be mad at Stefan so he could let go of his guilt, but he then realized that he couldn't. He didn't care about the guilt before, but now he did. And he chose to stay guilty because he wouldn't have been honest with either of them about his feelings if he had walked away. Everyone has their own opinions on this, but I don't think Damon intentionally did this to say like "cool, Stefan's gone, I can steal his girl now." Maybe in the beginning he treated Stefan and Elena that way, but you also can't help who you fall in love with. Damon appreciated what Stefan did and even though doing this behind his back was still wrong since they he and Elena weren't necessarily broken up, I don't think for a second that he did this to purposely f Stefan over. I think he was just letting her know via the kiss that he was gonna be fighting for her affections too. Plus after it happened, he didn't go too far again with that fight. And they didn't kiss again until 9 episodes later. But everyone's opinions are different. Plus Elena could've not let this happen, but she allowed it. Which obviously showed that she had developed romantic feelings for him at this point. So if anyone was a traitor to Stefan, it was the both of them. Her head is telling her it's wrong, her heart is telling her it's right. That's why she talks about it with Caroline in 3x14, having no idea how she feels about it. Because her heart and her mind are at war with eachother. This concept picks up in their scene in 4x8. It doesn't feel wrong. The soundtrack isn't about Damon, it's about Elena and the war between her head and her heart. Her heart wants it, her mind doesn't. She's holding onto Damon and letting Stefan go. That's why Stefan's kiss in 3x22 isn't so involved on her part. She didn't want him to kiss her.

It's just the way Damon's face changes when he hears Elena say "Not just for this Damon, for everything...", you can see it on his face, that his stomach has just had that sinking feeling, he can feel his heart holding on tighter and tighter to the love he has for her, hearing the girl he want so badly, the girl he loves so much, tell him how grateful she is to have him. It's amazing to see, and i've had the chance to feel the same, and boy is it a feeling!

God these two, this kind of love is SO special. I had been waiting for this for 3 seasons. They way he changed for her, the way she accepted and forgave her, the way the look at each other, how selfless he is to protect her.. how he makes her laugh, when nothing is funny. Stelena was beautiful, but this is TRUE LOVE. As he walked down the steps i screamed get back there and kiss her you darn fool, and when he did i just melted. No matter what, i'm a Delena believer till the day i die.

Because her heart and her mind are at war with eachother. This concept picks up in their scene in 4x8. It doesn't feel wrong. The soundtrack isn't about Damon, it's about Elena and the war between her head and her heart. Her heart wants it, her mind doesn't. She's holding onto Damon and letting Stefan go. That's why Stefan's kiss in 3x22 isn't so involved on her part. She didn't want him to kiss her.

It's just the way Damon's face changes when he hears Elena say "Not just for this Damon, for everything...", you can see it on his face, that his stomach has just had that sinking feeling, he can feel his heart holding on tighter and tighter to the love he has for her, hearing the girl he want so badly, the girl he loves so much, tell him how grateful she is to have him. It's amazing to see, and i've had the chance to feel the same, and boy is it a feeling!
