    Into super chilled bowl add:
    2 cups of very cold whipping cream
    1 tsp vanilla bean extract or powder
    1/2 cup of powdered sugar
    Mix on medium speed till desired consistency.

      You can use just pure vanilla too. It’s not necessary to buy paste or powder!😊 Just a note!

    Using confectioners sugar will stabilize it for at least 2 days. If you use too much sugar it will collapse in just a few hours.

      Funny, I make it specifically to cut down on the sugar use!!For me it usually holds consistency for about 3 days.

    I usually add gelatin or cream cheese to stabilize it both are yummy! Pipes beautiful too

    Little tip: freeze the whisk on the mixer for about 30 mins before. I’ve noticed I get a few more days before it collapses and becomes liquid.

    Only problem with the whipping cream is they are added a bunch of random preservatives and fillers:/ find clean whip cream to make this!! Its sooo good though

      It really only takes like 10 minutes to make😊. Hope it went well on TDay for you. Also you don’t really have to use vanilla powder or paste. You can just use pure vanilla extract, 1 or 2 tbsps, since that’s usually in the cupboard.

    You can freeze it too. Just pull it out 2 hours or so before you want to use it.

    You can also stabilize whip cream with a tablespoon of instant vanilla pudding mix though it might change the color slightly.

    Just whipping cream and a tsp sugar is fine too, freeze it in small containers, and you always have whip cream for a cake ☺

    I always just do heavy whipping cream, sometimes vanilla extract, and then some maple syrup. It’s delicious and the consistency is the same.

    Is the vanilla extract a crucial component? It’s kinda hard to come by where I live..😬 Chemically speaking, what does it do here exactly? What if I use baking powder or soda?

I quite enjoy your content :) Arohanui from New Zealand -we’d buy a can of whipped cream to be ‘more American’ as a treat because “it’s cool” -we do that naturally, it must be in our programming from all the movies 😅 a lot of kai is just unfathomable -like we generally whip our own cream. In my whole life I’ve brought maybe two whip cans and one tub of some double cream? It was solid pure cream for cheesecake

      Measure out how many ounces of heavy cream you need. It’s same as the store 16 ounce tub is 16 ounces of heavy cream, I start that mixing on slow at first then I add 1 tablespoons of vanilla and 1/2 cup to 1 cup (depending on how sweet you want it) then I bump up the speed to medium. Keep a eye on it because it can go to far, whipping to stiff peaks. It takes a little time but the end result is so much better.

    You can replace the powered sugar for condensed milk also and since I was making this at 12 am you can also use a frother to mix it to lol

    You can stabilize it with clear gelatin mixed with warm water until it thickens and cools down. Then add to your already whipped topping. Mix thoroughly.

    What sucks tho is a lot of heavy whipping creams for making it at home also have gums, oils, and sometimes even gelatin to make it thicker and stay stiff but it’s gross it almost defeats the purpose of making homemade I wish they’d stop putting shit in our food

      yes, though you'd generally add one of those to stabilize it anyway. Cream of tartar is your typical choice for home use, because who wants whipped cream that deflates in an hour?

      Completely agree! I got so sick of it I found a local dairy farm and now I have 100% cream ❤️ so delicious! Check your area and ask around you might be able to support a local farmer and get better cream!

      @@pennyroll people with dietary issues don’t want all those things in their food and often in baking those ingredients interact wrong with others because recipes aren’t calculating these random added ingredients so it throws off recipes entirely

    Can we get a homemade whipped cream recipe that's comically high in protein?

      Try this...
      Add 3 egg whites in a medium-sized bowl (yolk removed).
      Add 1 tablespoon of white sugar.
      Use a hand mixer & gradually pour in 1 more tablespoon of sugar.
      Blend on high for a couple mins. with short breaks into between blending so your handmixer's motor doesn't wear out.
      Keep blending until it develops a creamy texture.
      -----------------------------------------------------
      ...And there you go! You've got homemade whipped cream. Remember, it doesn't have preservatives like the commercial kind, so don't make too much at once.

    The way we do it at home we add all or half a carton of heavy cream and 1 and a half cup of powdered sugar or just 2 cups or more than stir it with thing she has I’m young so not sure what it’s called oh and make sure you have a chilled bowl and a gelatin thing to keep it from melting like the ones you buy

Do you see where I’m coming from now I’m not criticising I just don’t get it, the product is already made before you add it to the bowl your just adding more ingredients to it.

    Just so you know what you don’t use you can put on parchment paper and drops of whatever size you want put it in the freezer what does frozen put it in the freezer bag and you’ve got whipped cream whenever you want it

    Technically whipped cream is just whipping cream and sugar. The addition of vanilla makes it chantilly cream, but I prefer that. Sooo I never make whipped cream, only chantilly cream.

      Well what I was making it for was a cake that had minimal sugar so it’s balances. That’s great! Different recipes for different things 😊 everything is adjustable

    Powdered sugar? Makes it taste nasty! I use regular sugar and it stays stable for as long as it lasts here. I was told to use a little Knox shake into the cream for stable cream but not sure why! Have you ever really had it last long enough to go flat?

      Well I don’t make whipped cream to store! I make it to use that day! But I did put it in the fridge over night and it stayed stable also I don’t mind the flavor, I don’t think it tastes nasty at all but to each their own!

      I used 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
      1 cup ricotta
      1 cup powdered sugar
      4oz cream cheese
      1 tsp vanilla.
      It made way too much for a 2 tier cake but you can adjust the recipe to your liking of course. Enjoy 😊
