IAF C130J Maiden Landing at World's Highest Airstrip

#ThisDayThatYear.
On this day, 10 years ago, an #IAF C-130J did a maiden landing at Daulat Beg Oldi, the world's highest airstrip (16614 feet).
The C-130J continues to be an IAF workhorse and has undertaken multiple important missions including in the recent #OpKaveri.

Thy why Manmohan govt approved restarting DBO.
Well that 2017 response at Sikkim and abrogation of article 370 led to 2020 incursion. .

Kam se kam concrete dalke pakka to kar lo aur radium kidhar hai raat ko kesse dikhega kahan land karna hai

Soil conditions are not proper.
Agar loose soil pe concrete daal doge to usme cracks aane langege, every plane landing and takeoff will damage the runway.
Lagatar maintenance karni padegi. Aur utne high altitude pe iss tarah ke equipment hamesha rakhna is not possible.
Isliye jaise hai vaise hi chal raha hai. Agar kabhi zaroorat pade to concretisation bhi kardi jayegi.
