2:00 There’s the spot! Great introduction to practice the technique for the first time as a traditional one-handed bowler (like me!). Try it first by removing all the traditional approach, knee-bend and slide and just get into the ideal final position like Jason shows you and practice the two handed release from the final low kneebent position! Just a terrific teaching suggestion shown right here in the video!
Everyone has this big misunderstanding about the two handers. They start off with two hands, BUT, look at the bottom of the swing, look at the release point. the hand IS OFF THE BALL. Look at it closely especially with Anthony Simonsen. They're really releasing it ONE HANDED. Everyone is so focused on the TWO HANDS, they're forgetting that everything else is traditional.. The footwork, the release, the follow through, the spare shooting.
Thank you SO MUCH!!! I was LITERALLY considering going bowling again recently since it's so fun and I haven't been awhile but I was afraid to go since I've been having thumb and wrist pain lately. Now I can go and confidently try this method, have fun and not worry about being in a lot of pain afterwards!!
I'm 61....I'm 235 and 6.3 I have small wrists and really beat up my hands working when I was in my 20s. I was never a good bowler....hardly bowled at all. My friend got into bowling and I started going once in a while....averaged 2x a month. I met Ernie Schlegel here in Vancouver and bought my friend and her son some classes for Christmas. I decided to go. My wrists and hands really hurt so I tried 2 handed. I was on the verge of quitting for good because of the pain. I probably averaged 135 with a lifetime best of 181. Within 50 games I've bowled 5 games over 200 and a few in the 190s....and my hand and wrist is feeling better all the time. I think it's great for kids and people with pain or weakness....just because it's physically much easier. That is not addressing any other advantages. I'm amazed at this.
I've been bowling one handed my entire life, and when I try to throw two handed I can't help but spin the crap out of the ball nor can I get any type of ball speed.
I’ve been a one hander all my life, and a wheelchair bowler for the last five years, stationary at the foul line. Will adopting a two handed delivery help me?
I have a question for everybody do u put your fingers all the way in the bowling or just the tips cause I bowl 2handed with just the tips do I need to change that
let's see a professional baseball pitcher throw 100 mph at 60. let's see an nfl quarterback sink a 70 yard pass at 60. let's see a nascar driver set a record lap at 60. let's see lebron run up and down the court a hundred times and dunk from the foul line at 60. let's see tiger woods hit a 450 yard drive at 60. do you understand how stupid you are now or do i need to continue?

100% correct!! Definitely a one handed release
It’s like one hand no thumb but better imo
My favorite is when he says "the 4 step delivery" then proceeds to throw a shot with a 5 step approach
Same thought. Seems difficult to teach same steps like him. Looks like between 4 and steps. But I have to admit, he's super accurate in every throw.

Awesome!!! I started finding the 2 handed bowling very interesting in recent years. Haven't tried it yet. But I definitely will one day.
Go for it!😤
This is gold ❤

I had that when I first started too
in 2 handed bowling speed comes from the feet
I just heard today that 2-handed bowling was even a thing. Getting into a league next month for the first time. Definitely above my skill level.
You got this!!!
I should do this when i go bowling

Yes It opens you up to more power and releases
@@itsamouree But how can a wheelchair user use two hands?
@@8230PinChaserwouldnt say u should use two hands, one hand would be more fit ..considering ur a wheelchair user
@@8230PinChaserI would have to see how you bowl now
@@itsamouree My channel has one where I'm wearing a mauve jersey:

Mines go to second knuckle
I barely put my fingers in maybe to the end of my nail and that’s it
First knuckle always
@@bigd8812 I actually go just beyond my first knuckle-- I find it helps me generate power without sacrificing speed.
I just got a new high score a 203
Nice!!!💥
Cool
That score has been updated. It is now at 267.
The big question here is where is this training camp????
I think in Australia 😮

That is a five step approach.
Yes it is🤔
Let’s see him do two handed when he’s 60.

It's worked out for Walter Ray Williams jr

Lol
Jason Belmonte being literally the best bowler of all time I think it's safe to say he knows how to bowl.

I'd rather learn how to swim the Nile in its entirety than bowl 2HANDED👎👎👎
