Hi Rick 🖐 I’ve had my 4ooo Pad Washer for a couple of years now, it truly is a great invention, I keep pumping and spinning and pumping and spinning again till the water come out of the pad clean. I am glad that it found a home in the Rad Garage! Cheers!!.. 😎
Pad washer is essential. I use it with Rinseless most of the time. Wouldn’t want to live without it. I do wish the colours were a little more neutral though lol. Out with the blue and yellow and in with the grey please !
You won't get any argument from me! I really enjoyed the process and the results speak for themselves. It will be interesting to see if they "dust up" the first time I use them. That used to be the problem with my old process. The first time I fired up a pad, there would be a little dust cloud.
I LOVE that you’re a teacher-I am too and I do my detailing thing on the weekends and whenever else I have time. I don’t have a channel because I’m horrible with the film/edit thing but I’m working on it!!
Rick the snappy clean stuff is good but if you just mix some DIY Rinseless in there it will do just as well with having to worry about stocking the pad cleaning detergent 🧼👍
I believe the pad washing mix is also sold on mckees as polishing pad rejuvenation, i know Yvan also uses the diy rinseless You have the best garage, excellent video!
Yeah, I see it is available at Carzilla which is where I live, but you can find it all over the place. DIY Detail will soon have their own powder and I have been told my many people that a few capfuls of DIY Detail Rinseless Wash is also an effective cleaner in the 4000.
It is great for after a project, but also for during. I have been switching pads and now I can keep using the same pad for much longer which is a time saver.
I have not read all the comments so in case anyone has not said it...... I have the same pad washer. The McKees pad claener in granular form is the same as the snappy clen. I have that and I use either McKees 914 orr DIY detal rinsless as well to clean the pads, Been using mine since it came out. Cheers form Ontario
Yes! I have heard the Snappy Clean comes in other forms. I used the 4000 this weekend on a project with my orbital and you’re right, it isn’t as smooth as the rotary but having access to a quick and easy way of cleaning pads kept my wool pads pristine over the two days of heavy work!
Hi Rick ! Pads are back to RAD condition ! I believe that cleaning system will really help in case of polishing single stage paint. No better way to remove residue 🤩 ! Good to see your waffle pads came back to life. Stay RAD 🤘
Thanks for sharing Rick. I have this but not yet used it. It was good to see actual coloured residue coming out of the pads which is very encouraging, as it would be hard to gauge the cleaning performance otherwise, great visual indicator.
Love the Rad Garage Channel! Th video content, topics and quality is fantastic! Do you have a video on the equipment you use for your videos or can you give us a list of gear?
That’s a video I have been contemplating making for a while. Part of me is nervous by the idea of exposing the techniques that I use to keep my videos unique from the others.
@@RADGarage Thanjs for the reply and I totally get your concerns. I'm trying to get a channel started and just looking for guidance on types of camera, lighting, mic etc.
Oh man, it went from being a chore to a treat. I'm sure the novelty will wear off eventually, but I had a really realizing time watching those pads come clean with this system.
Hey Rick. I don’t need the the lake country pad cleaning system I just do my own truck. But I am interested in the PRS cleaner do you have a link so I can purchase it I normally clean my pads by Hand. Thank you
The PRS is a really great product for doing pads by hand. Here’s a link to it on the Carzilla site. I’m not sure where you source your products from. carzilla.ca/products/grit-guard-pad-renewing-solution-16oz?ref=RADGARAGE
Lake Country Manufacturing has a page on their website where you can input your country/address and they will provide you with all the retailers in your area. Check it out: lakecountrymfg.com/where-to-buy/
If there are no distributors in your country, I guess you could reach out to a distributor in a neighbouring country to see if they would be willing to ship.
I remember using it when were in Chicago, but I thought it was the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer so I was surprised when you told me I was wrong! My memory isn't what it used to be. It's all good now thanks to you!
I ❤ my LC4000 pad washer... I've had mine for a little over two years.
It really is a game changer. It came in very handy during the project I’m currently working on
Rick , awesome video - I used snappy for a long time and switched over to rinseless and cleans as good 👍🏾
I’m using Rinseless right now. It’s good.

Haha. I think the colours are so us old guys don’t lose track of where we put it! 😂
😮That device, along with the included cleaning powder, works great.

I have heard this. How much Rinseless in the 1.6 gallons of water?

What is that in kilometres?

256/1, 1/2 oz per gallon, 4ml per litre.

NICE Pads nice a clean!!! That is a cool pad cleaner!

oh and I use a rotary to clean the pads.. helps reduce the vibration!

@@RADGarage love mine. Put in on my painters platform. Perfect hight no bending over. Helped my back over cleaning in a sink!
That is a very good idea. My issue was I was using it after almost every pass because the idea of having a fresh and clean pad was just too tempting.

What shinemate rotary you was using. Also is it good? Thanks
I want to say it’s the EB801? It’s been great for finishing but I haven’t given it a lot of use yet.
