bozworthy Me either. I watch Dan Patrick then Rich Eisen on the Audience Network. I have watched Dan from the beginning in the old studio above the bar. The Danettes were like featherless baby birds waiting for Dan to feed them a lead in so they would HAVE to speak...make a comment. The Danettes are full feathered now and Dan just gets better and better. The Mother Ship was so stupid to let Dan Patrick go...actually force him to go with their stupid decisions. Then the higher ups refused Dan access to anyone on ESPN or even give credit to The Dan Patrick show when they used video or statements from his show. They revealed how they were truly ass wipes. Dan got so big, so popular, with such an enormous audience it got to the point they could no longer ignore him. They tried to make Dan’s show fail but another example of karma being a real thing and of good winning over evil.
I also got sucked into it all the banter the fanboys warring with each other and gambling aspect of it all. They had me hook line and sinker then by 2017 I saw just how much Espn was a braindead run company and now in 2024 everyone to me in this business wants to be the next don imus in sports radio talk show ratrings bs wars.
My favorite Sports Center anchors were Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann. Then it was Rich Eisen and Stuart Scott. Those were the golden years of Sports Center. Now ESPN is about hot takes and debates.
They let Kieth Olbermann walk as well. I've said it before and I'll say it again to anyone wanting to be a shock jock radio host, you had better learn the dark arts of this business before it gets to you.
I’ll never forget falling asleep to sports center when olbermann and Patrick were hosting, wake up at 3 am and watch the same stories repeatedly just because they were so damn entertaining and good at their jobs.
10 years ago ESPN was the place to be as a sportscaster, now not as much so. I watch MLB Network all of the time and never bother to watch Baseball Tonight anymore.
Used to be great. I'm older, so I was in college in early/mid 90s, Sportscenter was on all the time in our apartment. It was so awesome back then. Scott, Eisen, Patrick, just to name a few
I always remember when rich eisen did euro 2004 highlight between england and portugal, during the pk and david becham missed over the crossbar, rich said he missed it by 2 spice girls, i was on the floor,
It’s hysterical the way ANY SPORTS BROADCASTER refs to themselves as “the talent” - “the talent” are the Athletes they cover - that’d be like Turtle or E referring to themselves as “the talent”
the definition of talent is you can make something better while most people can even reach the same level ... the ability to attract a lot of viewrs is the undeniable proof for that ... And sport like any products need good salesmans to become popular by constantly remind people of how good that product it is .. Like a worldwide boxer can only fight 1 2 times a year and it may last only 3 4 mins ... his name easily be fade into people's memory if it can't repeatedly ''analyze'' about it
@@welovelibraries4556 They still live and well after leaving a biggest network like ESPN for a reason ...Millions people can do ther job but I highly doubt few people can do as good as they
I stopped watching ESPN when Greenberg crapped on Golic. How can you take the best sports talk show off.The Bermans And Patrick’s left just not interested in it anymore
Just done watching Thursday night football and Tony is getting better as Jim Nantz is letting his partner feel his way to a better broadcast.. Tony needs to let his seat down a bit. just sayin.
Idk. I saw that as, asking a buddy what he thought of that decision. And he even followed it up mentioning that Rich wasn't very confident. So EGO wouldn't really make sense. I could be wrong though!
I love how Dan thinks and talks about being a sports broadcaster as if he was out on the court and/or field..he actually thinks that we give a fuck about “his talents’” and/or view him as a really talented broadcaster. Dude you’re talking about “the talent”...you are NOT the talent. His ego is sickening.
Rich Eisen and Dan Patrick are my favorites. They both do great interviews on their respective shows.
I haven't watched ESPN for years. I listen to DP show everyday.
bozworthy Me too. Dan Patrick and the Danettes are the best in sports broadcasting. Rich Eisen is close behind him.
Can't stand ESPN

Got to add Rich in there too, DP has the better crew, but Rich is legitimately one of the best too.
I also got sucked into it all the banter the fanboys warring with each other and gambling aspect of it all. Rich Eisen is classy as hell and so is DP
DP and Rich aka the dynamic duo. Love these guys. Truly a special time in sports broadcasting due to these two men of men.
Dan Patrick WAS Sportscenter in the mid 90’s. I remember thinking “Fuck yeah, Dan Patrick’s on!” Whenever I’d catch him hosting. Legend.
My favorite Sports Center anchors were Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann. Then it was Rich Eisen and Stuart Scott. Those were the golden years of Sports Center. Now ESPN is about hot takes and debates.
It's all garbage
Don’t forget Kenny Mayne! Wit wit wit.
@@user-ni2oz9me6l oh yeah, his dry wit was hilarious
ESPN brass were foolish to let Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen walk

Both these guys are on point when it comes to sports talk.

I've heard of name dropping, but Eisen totally "city dropped". "I came out of a doctor's office...IN BEVERLEY HILLS"
It’s cool to see 2 greats, who Genuinely respect each other
My love for ESPN passed when Dan, Rich, Keith, and Craig all moved on
So true
Used to be great. I'm older, so I was in college in early/mid 90s, Sportscenter was on all the time in our apartment. It was so awesome back then. Scott, Eisen, Patrick, just to name a few
And Kenny Mayne too!

Rich goes from billion dollar company to billion dollar company. Charmed and talented life!
ESPN got lucky with all the anchors they had in the 90s, and they never really recovered after they lost most of them.
ESPN is falling off while fox sports and radio talk shows are thriving 😂
And don't forget NFL Network
Yeah Fox hired Skip so I’d pump the brakes on their brilliance
JNY 69420 yeah don’t think so double check the ratings
Not really. Everyone hates the media more than sports now and that is a good thing.
Watching Danny boy get all giddy gets me giddy. 😁
Dan loves dan
If it is illegal for the defense to go to the head to tackle, why is it okay for an offensive player to stiff arm and most often involves the helmet ?
Woah
LOL what was your reaction when I left ESPN?
Exactly. Dan Pugh's narcissism at it's finest.
Rich Eisen is the Matt Lauer of sports. Dan Patrick is the Dan Patrick of the Dan Patrick Show.
Luke Enno wtf
Matt Lauer is a tool!
Dan is a much better interviewer and more relatable than Cowherd..period
Every network is cutting cost
Dan
The Dan Patrick Rich Eisen Stuart Scott SC era>>>>>anything else
Keith was amazing as well and I enjoy SVP
Love Kenny Mayne too
They are not doing anything anybody else can do. Tear them down!
People: I can' believe ESPN keeps letting go of all this great talent.
Same People: I won't pay ESPN for content.
Maybe there are ways around corporations
It’s hysterical the way ANY SPORTS BROADCASTER refs to themselves as “the talent” - “the talent” are the Athletes they cover - that’d be like Turtle or E referring to themselves as “the talent”
They're just talking internal ESPN.

A Taurus and a Cancer, amazing synergy.

Jim Nantz needs to retire, he sucks. They should have fired him and kept Simms.
Tony should not be feeling Jim. That's a disturbing thought.
What was your reaction when I left ESPN? Wow big ego Dan.
Idk. I saw that as, asking a buddy what he thought of that decision. And he even followed it up mentioning that Rich wasn't very confident. So EGO wouldn't really make sense. I could be wrong though!
ESPN is correct, the company is more important than the "talents" they hired. Heck anybody can be a sports journalist.
Dan Patrick looks like a Patrick, not a Dan
Profound.

Haven't listen'd to dan in 3 years. he went down the woke path. he woululd be ok with it. My buddies are also ok with not tuning in.
