Easily the best instructional video and breakdown of this great rock anthem I’ve come across. Great closeups, sound, and kudos for playing it slowly and methodically, and breaking it down rhythmically! 10/10 ⭐️

This was simply amazing. I have listened to this song more times that I can remember and I can pick up straight away the small differences people make when playing this song. The biggest compliment I can make is I closed my eyes and I swear I thought it was Jimi himself playing. You picked up ever nuance, every subtle detail. The song is genius in that regard and you my friend are incredible.

Ciao Alberto. All the details and dynamics you described make this tutorial exquisitely helpful. Looking forward to see more of these lessons. Thanks a lot
Yeah that was the best tutorial for Little Wing. Probably not for guitarists that haven't been playing for long, who really need to see the string fingering super clearly. I loved how you broke down the rhythmic and dynamic nuances, especially explaining when it goes from straight to swing feel. I got a lot out of this video and will be watching it again. Fantastic tutorial, because you talk about it like a real musician and guitarist who has unpacked what Jimi is doing in this track. Thankyou!

Learned errors are hard to ignore. This is the best and clearest instruction on exactly how to play this tune properly.
I’ve been playing for about a year and a half and I’ve been trying to learn this song almost since I started. It just hasn’t clicked with me until I watched this video. Alberto: This was the most enjoyable guitar tutorial video I have watched. You did an excellent job of demonstrating and explaining the nuances of Jimi's most beautiful piece of work. For me Little Wing is the Holy Grail of Jimi Hendrix music and is a perfect example of how 'less is more'. I still have my 1961 Stratocaster from when I was a kid and I am now 66 years. So, it is needless to say that I have always wanted to master this song and do this guitar justice. One of the parts that has eluded me all these years is that odd "C chord" with the A note slipped in there. I never really knew why it sounded that way even though I typically have a very good ear for picking things out. YOU figured it out and it has brought me closer to my goal of understanding this short but wonderful piece of music. Thank you for sharing your talent and skills.

Absolutely loved this in every one; the song, where and how embellishments are played, Mr Lombardi’s very specific explanations - and most importantly clarified the straight/swing feel of Jimi’s remarkable style! Rock on Alberto! Jimi would be honored to hear you! 🎸👏

Thank you Alberto for making this one, its the best tutorial version out there and helps us learn a lot .... i understand it must have taken a lot of your time to prepare and record this one.... so thank you again for the help.
This is no doubt the best tutorial for this song. All nuances and little details are there explained clearly and with great insight. Can someone please confirm the song is played in standard tuning here? Got my guitar tuned half step flat as most people say jimi played and it doesn’t sound quite right when following along the video guess because of that
Yes, it’s absolutely crazy he didn’t do the tutorial in the proper tuning. You can’t play along with him without tuning your guitar incorrectly. After the big speech at the beginning of the video about how you needed to take his tutorial to get all the detail to play it properly, and he couldn’t be bothered to tune his guitar correctly? You’ve got to be kidding me! Most will come to a tutorial tuned properly and ready to learn. How many are going to stay if the instructor can’t even tune correctly?
I learnt to play this when I was 14 years old, I’m now 39. Rediscovering and re learning. I have to say this tutorial is really fantastic. Great to learn about the timing shift as I’d always just emulated jimi without much thought of what he was actually doing rhythmically. Great job sir and thanks for a fantastic tutorial.
outstanding explanation of a very clever piece of guitar work, phrasing and timing. Thank you, inspired me to try to do this despite my total lack of talent.
I had been learning this song on Tim Peirce UA-cam channel I was going to go over it again with Mr. Peirce and stumbled on to your video and I like this one not to say anything negative on Tims but I'm going to use your video I like going of the cord he probably does too but I must off missed it but I have been practicing my technique maybe that's why I'm getting into this vedio I'll be hear for a while and i dig you teaching its like play by play Monday night tutorial..Roland J Gutierrez from Magdalena New Mexico USA...

I think even Hendrix didn't know the right way to play it, because he always played it in different ways in live shows.
He plays in feelings not thinking the notes
He did that to keep from getting bored with the repetition of playing it the same way every time.

I’ve been playing this song since I THOUGHT I learned it by ear in middle school a few decades ago! It’s SO much harder to RElearn Jimi than it is to do it right the first time!
I guess it's true for most everything. Cheers!
Thank you for this great tutorial, it’s exactly what I was looking for
Awesome, cheers!
the best tutorial I have ever seen on Little Wing! Very clear and correct! Thanks for sharing and greetings from Latvia! Marko
Hey Latvia! Wonderful
Best tutorial ever on Little wing! Grazie Alberto!
This is by far the best tutorial I've ever seen.
Cheers Jerry
Absolutely loved this in every one; the song, where and how embellishments are played, Mr Lombardi’s very specific explanations - and most importantly clarified the straight/swing feel of Jimi’s remarkable style! Rock on Alberto! Jimi would be honored to hear you! 🎸👏
Thank you Sally!
Really great tutorial. Thank you. I wish i can play it properly. Well done and useful
Thanks! Try a little at a time
@@albertolombardimusic And it works! I have to stay your explanation and the way you film your guitar is really good. I've been working on little wing years ago and the few tips you give are realy usefull and make the difference. Thanks again for teaching. I know what to do for the next evenings !
Just bought the score on your web site !
Awesome!
Got my guitar tuned half step flat as most people say jimi played and it doesn’t sound quite right when following along the video guess because of that
Thank you. Yes this is standard tuning, but Jimi played it half step down. Ciao
@@chiptovey6015 its driving me nuts with the dissonance of trying to play in the correct key
Best version of such a tutorial for Little Wing so far!
Cheers!
Did anyone else stop by for a lesson and leave a subscriber? I sure did!
Thanks :D
Heck yeah, great teacher. Thank you for doing this.
Yep!
Teaching is a serious skill. You are a very skilled teacher. Thank you!
Nice teaching straight to the point and makes perfect sense 👍👍👍👍👍👍thanks dude subscribed
Thanks Chris!
Cheers Anthony
Thanks! That was perfect way to learn it❤️ need a rest of this 🎶 would you? 🙄 greetings from 🇵🇱 👋
Cheers! Glad it helped!
Absolutely brilliant tutorial - especially when it comes to the timing and hand positions.
Absolutely brilliant!
Thanks, appreciate
Gratzi Alberto! Yay, truth in advertising. Done with patience and love. The last thing I wanted was another video showing me mistakes.
Tanks Mark, appreciate it
Not only do you play this perfectly and with such ease, but you’re also a great teacher!
Thank you!
What a great lesson - thank you so much!!!!
Cheers 🎸
outstanding explanation of a very clever piece of guitar work, phrasing and timing. Thank you, inspired me to try to do this despite my total lack of talent.
Hey cheers
Imagine being able to write a song that awesome...
The best video on the internet to learn how to play this great song. Great analysis of guitar phrasing. Thank you.
Thank you :)
Thanks Roland, Tim is the Bomb! His lesson is a bit less obsessive on details but very valuable!
Imagine if Jimi could see that nearly 60 years later there musicians who analyze and understand his song with such finesse, respect and sensitivity. Beautiful.
Thank you!
Absolutely spot with the 100yrs in the future comment. Fabulous lesson too. thanks
Thanks a lot
