@sgwolp, Good question. Different styles often spar differently, and they often have different kinds of sparring they practice within a particular discipline. Shotokan is usually longer-range fighting, in and out. Okinawan Goju is more in-close, using a broader array of attacks. I think what we were doing here was a sloppy version of sparring somewhere in between: a little sport-karate (influenced by Shotokan) with Okinawan in-close fighting. Nothing impressive, but a good memory for me.
I'm a Goju Ryu practictioner. I find the kumite sparring at the end of each class the hardest physically, because I'm 6' 4" and the best part of 20st (through weight training, not fat) so I tire very easily. The plus side of course is that what I lack in speed and stamina, I make up for in range and power.
en el segundo 2, ¿parandose en la punta del pie? ¿y la base? aunque muy bien se ve la punta del pie que apunta al objetivo, sin embargo la base es mala.

good shit man im an orthadox guy i stick with kata footwork in sparring and dont sway my hands much stick to principple is easier for mee then againg traditonal foot work allows for better feet grips
why use gloves? I like kyokushin style combat. of course u cud control power so as to not break ribs etc..but thats a more realistic fight/sparring than this.
@Jadenh87 You're obviously a youtube troll with no video posts of your own. I saw you trashed other martial artists, some of whom are very good. So please stop posting and wasting people's time. If you post here again, it will be deleted.

Thank you for the suggestions. You are absolutely correct. But Morikoshi-san comes in so fast! :)
