If it helps at all, when I close up our Condor, I use the extended ladder to push the half of the tent up and closed (kinda like a standing curl to press/bench). That might make it easier and allow more leverage than how you collapsed the ladder and then tried to close the sandwiched part. Then I collapse the ladder as it's horizontal.
Good tip! I'll have to try that next time, I'm not sure if I'm "long enough" to put away the ladder horizontal, though. Or I could just get a bigger ladder. 😅
