I'm assuming that this is a completely different tree and unrelated to Irvirginia Gabonsis also known as the 'Bush Mango'.

Different from mutondo in my area

Quite right, there are a few different trees called Mutondo, including the Julbernardia globiflora (more commonly called Mnondo) and the teak tree, Baikiaea plurijuga
