The last scene is what its like to be in a crit in Architecture school...all of them.
Nothing has changed from back then except the costs of building is 1300X more expensive today, and everything is made from plastic now.

How? What happened?
He had to come up with a slogan for a ham brand. He couldn’t by the deadline and was expecting to be fired. Their maid/cook called them into eat with the slogan that saved his job. When queried what they were having to eat she replied with the saying “If you ain’t eating Wham, you ain’t eating ham.”@@rosevanguard
They wanted all those extra spaces probably pushed up price by $150,000 dollars😊😅
then the house total was 18,000 in totdays money that about 235,000
This movie was great, but a bit annoying on how naive Blandings could be about such a important purchase. I had to deal with shyster contractors and a crooked builder when we built our house. Since I was in that type of business, they couldn't get anything over on me. I plan to be the builder of our next home and will hire my own reputable subs which will save me 100 to 150k.
