About to turn 30 at the end of the year, just had my second child, and I just recently decided to finish up my degree while raising my kids and working for myself at home. I felt discouraged because I was so far behind and felt it was too late to finish my education but I know I need to do better not only for me but my little ones. Didn't get my driver's license until I was 26. Didn't leave home for the first time until I was 27. Didn't start a career until I was almost 40, Didn't get married until I was 45, bought my first home at 49. Still no kids but hey God can do all things if its his will. I said all this to say that, stop letting people put a timeline on when you should accomplish goals in life. There is no timeline for any of this. Work on your time. Just don't stop trying. Only when you stop trying is when you fail.

Thanks bro, i really needed this. Depression is hard to deal with but when we have people like you it gets easier and easier each time we go to face it, or to face the truth. We will always remember in the time of need the most important messages we've heard in our lives.
I know I'm commenting on this pretty late but I really needed to hear this. I'm on my bachelor's in Info Systems Management and the jump from the associates in terms of concepts and workload have had me stressing out hard about whether I'm going to be able to get into MIT or Harvard. And on top of that, I pursue other things in my free time for hobbies (digital art, writing, character design/world-building, music etc) and there are so many parts of them that I want to improve in but struggle to do so. Because to improve in each aspect of them takes time. Time that I may not have enough of and when I make something that doesn't turn out the way I wanted it to, I lose motivation. I worry that I don't have enough time to get better or that I've started too late and it's one of the things that contribute to the drop in my mood when I think about it. I really needed this today and it really did help encourage me to just keep trying as much as I can manage and see how it goes to make whatever changes I need to prioritize time to at least the most important aspects. You really are a great inspiration to us Cory and I'm grateful that you shared this with us.

Hi Cory! I have been watching you for a few years now and you have literally gotten me through SO MUCH, including the excruciating pain of surgery recently!! I just wanted to say this video resonated with me so deeply for many reasons. I earned my GED, drivers license, and bought my first car at 27 (3.5 years ago). I graduate as an RMA at 28, earned a second certification in Medical Office Assisting 2019, and earned my Associate's in Applied Sciences this past May while maintaining a 3.17 GPA across these programs simultaneously while working, raising my kids alone, going to therapy, and attending school full-time! I am currently in my first semester of Nursing school and 9.5 years clean of heroine, pills, and meth. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE with self motivation, a positive support group, dedication to change, and the grace of God. I literally remember CRYING and praying to God saying if it was his will for me to become more than what I was, to trust the unknown process, please let me pass this exam.. And I did!! I want to say to Cory and anyone reading this that life can be hard, it can be painful, it can be damaging.. But it can also be so beautiful and get better with a little perspective and a lot of effort. I love your videos, you as a person, and all the Samurai!

Advice from my dad that I'll never forget: It's literally NEVER too late to pursue what you want in life. anyone who tells you otherwise is just insecure in their life and trying to hold you back. Even if you have to take things in small steps at a time, don't be scared to take those small steps. And you have to remember that *progress isn't always going to be linear.* there will be plenty of times in life when you end up taking two steps forward and one step back. But that doesn't matter because as long as you keep fighting for it, you're going to reach you goal.

I'm 18, failed 2 years of education, couldn't handle the stress the pandemic put on me, insisted to still go to a college/uni foundation course and truly still want to start up a youtube career. I appreciate this cory, because I really felt like life took hold of me and the depression was too much. Even suicide didn't seem like a bad option anymore. Love and appreciate you cory, and to all those that want to achieve their dreams

This video helped me realize what I must do to keep myself doing well in school. I dont know what I would do without this man. Ive been here since I was 8 or younger. Im 15 today and this man is still my inspiration. I cant keep limiting myself and thinking "oh I can only do this much work". I can do it if I tell myself to

Thank you Cory, I’m in similar situation as you were when it came to applying to schools, right now my grades aren’t as high as they need to be and I have major anxiety for whether I’d get into the university I have wanted to get into for so long. Looking at the odds now there’s a chance I won’t get in and just like you I wanted to get into this school because of how much I think it suits me, but also because of expectations and the prestige of this school. In all honesty if I don’t get I’ll feel like a complete failure. But watching this video gave me some hope that even if I don’t get into that university I’ll be able to go somewhere else, transfer maybe, or stay. Your story with Michigan s state really helped me put things in perspective for me. It’s not the end of the world if I don’t get it and that there’s a land of opportunities for me to still pursue. Thank you so much Cory for making this video and sharing your experience you have pushed me to do better.❤
