Was not expecting to be able to see your reaction to the package. So happy that you liked it. I find the 31 purple fish a lot of fun I do them like you did and then when there’s Sam I starting to dry I go back in and move them around a little bit more And you will get even more separation. This made my day
Well, you made MY day! What a lovely surprise that was. I'm SO excited to try them out on actual paintings and you gave me just enough colors to make that work beautifully. Thank you SO very much.
Isn't it pretty?! You're welcome. I'm SO behind on watching videos and I've seen that you've posted a few. I'll try to get to them when I get home for sure!
💯 agree! For two reasons: First, I seem to find something…special…about keeping handmade paints in their palette, assuming it’s a useable one ofc. Second is from a utility standpoint…I, too, have an empty palette box just like your silver one (probably identical). idk if you do a ton of mixing with your A. Gallo, but unless you think you’ll need all that extra real estate, it’s HEAVY & takes up a lot more space…esp as it’s hard to stack other palettes on top of its “pyramid-lid.” In addition, while I love the deep mixing wells, it’s NOT an easy palette to travel with, esp if you don’t want to either lose all those mixes by cleaning it every.single.time you use it, or get paint everywhere. (Inexplicably, even when in its own sealed & supposedly “waterproof” bag…tho I live in CO like you, so…maybe altitude…maybe?) Mine’s sitting empty rn, as I’m stuck in decision paralysis…I def want to fill all the center space as well as the outer “slots,” but can’t decide whether to remove the interior metal framework entirely, for the same issues you mentioned & also to maximize its capacity. And finally, as I’m trying to fill my “no buy” bucket with palette renovations, only to have life get in the way, I find myself grabbing my travel palettes (same size as the A. Gallo) constantly, & really enjoying their size AND utility. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Nice colors! It's funny about the dirty pink, I have M. Graham Ultramarine Pink and it's always struck me as being "dirty." That's totally what I thought it was at first, but it looked so much brighter when it dried. I suppose it could be a mix of ultramarine pink and quin rose. The Payne's looked so different when it dried too!
Hi, @bootsmama1027 and welcome to my channel! I'm so glad she shared my channel with you and that you're here. I'm grateful to have the A. Gallo paints and I'm excited to use them more.
Hi, Miranda! What a lot of lovely goodies! I completely fell in love with the kitty clip. It's a pity it isn't very strong. Maybe when you get back, you could unmount it from that clip and put it on a stronger one? I also completely fell in love with the pink 'Japanese' monochrome painting!!! And as so many others who've commented, I'm intrigued by the Purplefish paints, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it is when you paint with it. . So disappointing that all three Passport notebooks were so similar, but it'll be fun to see how much you manage to fill in over time. As for the activity book, the thought, "Trade Descriptions Act" came to mind - certainly not living up to our expectations. I was disappointed for you with that. I'd have been disappointed for me, too, if I'd ordered it, though it's so full of facts and stuff, I guess it may be a good reference for the trip? Half way through your trip. I wonder how it's going, and am looking forward to catching up with you when you're back at home. 🤗
Unmounting the clip and putting it on a stronger one is such a good idea! I'll have to see if I can do that. Isn't that mountain scene beautiful? Yes, halfway through the trip and I'm loving every minute. I have so many great reference photos to paint from now! I'll have to find a way to share some of them with my community. Hugs!
Somehow I get the feeling that since your no-buy started, you've been accumulating more art materials than before. Now you'd have to live to be 200 years old to use it all up.😂 Don't take me serious I am probably just jealous. 🙂
LOL, I think we all have a little bit of Watercolor envy, and I just think maybe Miranda needs to go in the Guinness book of world records as living to as long as she needs to until she finishes all her watercolours. Somehow, I think it would be more than 200 years though I wonder if she ever finished that watercolour palette challenge that she was trying to use up. I’d be right there, along with her though I probably won’t even make a dent in a fraction of the water colours I have because I’m so excited to try new handmade watercolours I really fell down that rabbit hole
Thank you ❤. Just wanted to say for people with misophonia listening to opening of plastic bags and wrappers is a bit of a pain. 😉 Lots of love❤ Nina
Good to know - thank you and sorry about that!

@@FaithAnnNB I'm so curious to try them more.

That book does not count as breaking your no buy😊
Okay, thanks!
This is all very thrilling! That Payne's Gray from 31 Purplefish is a knockout. 🤩 Thanks for sharing these amazing goodies!

I say original palette!
Okay, one vote for the original so far!

@@DanniGeee oh, this is all really good information; thank you!
Awesome haul. In love with the 31 Purplefish. The last mix you made was stunning. I could see the separation-had me drooling.
I'm so curious to try these out in a painting. They seem really nice in the swatches.
Fancy pallet!❤
No merch no buy 😎
So many cool things! I like the travel books, and the activity book too haha. No buy schmo buy 😂
Hahaha!
thank you so much for sharing, i truly enjoy watching, stay safe and bless

Hi I am friends with Eskies. She told me about your channel. I have always wanted to try A. Gallo watercolors. You got some awesome watercolors.

@@MirandaWatsonArt I have some Daniel Smith and M. Graham because those are available locally.
A. Gallo half pans in the original palette otherwise the original palette will feel lonely when it’s empty! I’m being serious. 🤭🤩
