I agree 1000%. Alienware has been missing the point when it comes to screen. Do you have a very specific use case for Thubderbolt 4 (TB4)? Price tag is also high but not as bad aa Razer.
Latest Radeon driver just ends up in a Black Screen of Uselessness. EDIT: It's driver version 24.5.1 w/ 480hz model. Unable, where Im at, to test an external monitor.
In 2024, we should start to see USB4 take over. Also taking advantage of USB4, 240W USB type-C charging bricks and laptop power adapters should make an appearance. The screen is the biggest letdown for the AW m18. I really hope in 2024 we get some Mini-LED options as well. An OLED option would be so amazing.
Hey dude I’d buy this laptop if it wasn’t for the no thunderbolt 4 with Radeon GPU awful screen variants very dim screens and high price tag
Well probably consider it if it had a better screen brightness and better screen variants that come with the model

Thank you for the profiles performance comparison
You're welcome.
Another good video
Tysm.
The performance is good👍
All a matter of perpective. If you get the QHD screen, then yes it is very good. Keep in mind also 500 cheaper than the 4090 m18r1.

This laptop is so close, but not even one USB 4 port and 300 nit screen kills it in 2023. Maybe they'll nail it next time.
