🍻😷👍 I love watching your vids , especially when i see the 🇨🇦 drops, thanks for all you time and information you share with all of us, great job. Cheers👍
love your vids...would like to see a vid or vids of you making your belt and gear....where you procured your materials from etc....how you designed your gear...i was very impressed with you set up....
What height ring would you suggest for using this rail with an optic with 50 mm objective lens?need help figuring out best size ring of the vortex pro series. Set up will be 457 precision chassis with Athlon Midas tac.
Could you tell me if I will be able to zero my scope at 50yds with arken ep5 5-25x56 optics and this 50moa rail? I read somewhere that i should divide my overall vertical adjustment of my scope by 2, and I will get maximum rail inclination. In case of arken, maximum vertical adjustment is 110moa.
Figured it out: just used a small wooden block against the front edge of the rail. Covered the barrel using a thin cloth. Used a rubber mallet to strike the wooden block to slide it. Took about 30 very small strikes.
Hi Mate what is your opinion of your CZ457 with original barrel compared to your mates Bergara B14 ? Interested as I can get a Bergara for almost same price as a CZ457 LRP here in Aus at this stage. Thanks in advance mate. Great videos as usual.
My buddy seems happy with the b14, but it has weak ejection. I know many more shooters that use the 457, we all love ours. I also really like the bolt design for the 457, the b14 is held together with roll pins. Don’t think you can go wrong with either.
Everybody is pushing the distance limits with .22lr these days. 50moa rail will give you the opportunity to be able to shoot further. Important to mention that you will need a scope with a lot of internal elevation adjustment(100moa and up) or else you won't be able to zero at shorter distances.
Any plans to review the MDT XRS chassis now that it is available for the CZ 457? I would be interested to hear your opinion of it compared to the KRG Bravo.
Best design ever! Hats off for Area 419.
You bet!

This was my first purchase after buying my 457 varmint mtr. Now, if I could just get a 10 rnd magazine.

Do you recommend Loctite? Mine slipped today Torqued at 22 in lb. Glad they went to torx. Mine 3mm Allen screws.
Good video
A question is the picatinny rail on the upper part 20mm or 22mm.???
Where did you get the bolt handle and knob, looks nice!
What height are those rings Sml,Med or Lrg. thanks.
Someone know the screws that are used on the scope base???? I stripped tge screws

I was able to, but it's pretty darn close to the bottom of the elevation.
Thanks for your response. That's what I wanted to hear!
Super !!! You don't have for 455 ?
Hi there. Are you going to sell your 30moa base? If yes I will buy it from you
Just got that rail!
Was yours a real tight fit I had trouble sliding mine on
Mine is tight too. How’d you finally slide it all the way on?
Figured it out: just used a small wooden block against the front edge of the rail. Covered the barrel using a thin cloth. Used a rubber mallet to strike the wooden block to slide it. Took about 30 very small strikes.
So...nothing showing the installation of the rail?
slip it over the dove tail and tighten it down.
Which scope rings (manufacturer and height ) did you use with the 50 MPA base?

What are your thoughts on the Talley scope base?
Never tried them before
I should have bought the area 419. I bought the MDT and the Machining is wrong. It doesn't fit.
really? Like the dove tail specs is off? I haven’t used the MDT one myself, I’m surprised it would be messed up.
@@Womfat Yes the dovetail is not fully machined in one spot. I am pissed about it. I can't shoot my new 457 because MDT doesn't do QC
@@Womfat Yes MDT admits they screwed it up. They changed the design but just left all the wrong parts in stores.
Can I ask why you’d change your base from a 30 to the 50 moa?

Nothing planned, but if I can borrow an XRS I would do a comparison.. I've handled one a bit, it's nice!
@@Womfat i know this old but, i'd like to see the Bravo compared to the XRS. i'm going to buy one of them, just not sure which. cheers
Will you still be able to zero at 50 yards?
Depends on your scope. If you have 30+ mrad of internal adjustment, you should be able to with no issues.
@@Womfat I think I'm going to go with the Strike Eagle from Vortex.
you’ll be fine, the strike eagle has plenty of adjustment
@@Womfat Awesome! Thanks for replying.
What Athlon scope are you running? How do you like it? What rings are you running? Height?
I'm using the Ares 4.5-30x56. I quite like it so far, I plan to do a review on it shortly. Rings in the video are 1.25" I believe.
@@Womfat I was thinking of the Ares or Cronos. How does it compare to your Strike Eagle?
@@jck197 It had noticeably better glass than the SE. The Cronus has nicer turrets than both by a long shot, but the windage is not locking.
Wanna sell the 30 MOA? Area 419 is out of stock and need one for my NRL22 rifle....
Already going to a shooter at my club, these things are in high demand!
@@Womfat I bet! I live 30 minutes from Area 419 and am hunting for parts!
Sounds like a he’s in the states, GBT is Canada only.
Don't worry! Area 419 is busy busting out rails left and right! You'll be able to get one soon!
what scope is that ?
That's an Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56
@@Womfat How do you like the Reticle on it ?
It comes with different reticle options, mine is the APRS1. I would have preferred the APRS6, but it’s still good
