I appreciate whoever posted this critical message for the church. As a 64 year old Christian (since I was 8), I am convinced that the willful ignorance of, and unbiblical understanding of the believer's role (effort) in their sanctification is the root cause of its failure and impotence. Let us not excuse ourselves that there is any other reason for our impotence among unbelievers and our culture. It is simply because we are not a holy, sanctified people of God. How many sermons ended with "application points" about our need to "witness", "impact the world", be "ambassadors", etc., etc. All good points, but not the "therefore I urge you brethren, by the mercies of God",...and "Because of this, brothers, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of body and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God".
What an excellent teacher . I'm so grateful to God to have found his teachings. He explains things so well.

MLJ shared so much knowledge with his parititioners. Yes he's old and a bit dry. Listen to the sermon and gleen the principles.
A man after a God’s own heart. Old and dry? Never !
Dry? There is more living water in his sermons than from every single preacher currently breathing.
